This is only the second time I have used your help, but I hope you can help

again. I won an auction on June 26 from Amanda Marie Steffens, email address Mandy@advantagepublishers.com. BN handle Beaniegirl2000. I was still very new to the auction thing. The auction was for Chops, Spunky and Claude. I mailed out a Western Union money order on June 28. I heard back from Amanda shortly after that she had received the money and that said basically, no refunds whatsoever and then a very curt bye. I emailed back and asked why she had to tell me no refunds. I asked if there was something wrong with the beanies. No answer. I emailed once a week until I threatened fraud charges. I then got an email from her father Howard Steffens, email address H.Steffens@advantagepublishers.com. I have enclosed the ensuing emails the last being dated 7/24/99. I have heard nothing from either of them since then. The last time I tried contacting them was yesterday 8/11 with no response. Perhaps you can have better luck than I. Pam:

Email from H.Steffens: My Name is Howard Steffens and I recently intercepted an email message from you to my 10 year old daughter. It seems that she has sold you three of her beanies, however I felt you should know that the beanies are Teeny beanies that were recieved from McDonalds happy meals and two are missing the ty tags. If you still want them I will have them sent right away if not I will be glad to return you money order A.S.A.P. I apologize for any confusion and delay.

Nope, I still have not gotten my money back from them. I can't get through by phone either. The last time I tried was on Monday and there was no answer. They got pretty nasty with me too and said they had never cashed the money order and that it was being returned as of 8/14. They got pretty nasty with me too and told me to get lost. I emailed them again today and said if I didn't have the refund in my hand by Monday, August 30, I would have no choice but to go to the authorities. I noticed there is a web wage advantagepublishers.com that is under construction but you can still email for info. I did email there looking for Howard Steffens. I have not received an answer from that either. I am sending out a tracer/refund request for the money order. This is costing me an additional $8.00. I know I didn't lose a lot of money, but there is a principal involved here. They shouldn't be as rude as they are to either you or myself.  I really appreciate all your efforts. Keep up the good work.
