I had purchesed a beanie off Ebay from aj$ (ebay user ID) or
ajschiavo.com@verizon.net which was a presale. Auction ended 2/24/02 which
means I should of had the beanie "guaranteed" within 30 days. I paid $24.98
with my PayPal account the same day of auction end. When 3/24/02 came around
I still had not received the beanie. I gave it a couple more days and nothing.
I contacted the gentlman to inform him that I wanted a refund since he did
not fulfill his agreement and he assured me the beanie had been sent. I told
him that I would accept the beanie as long as it was mailed before I made
the request for the refund. Lo and behold the beanie showed up Saturday but
was post marked the day after I made the request for the refund. Now he will
not reimburse my money. I told him that I would return the beanie but he
was responsible for the S&H fees. He knew exactly what he was doing when
he mailed the beanie. I thought you should know before I post him as a bad
trader.

Shouldn't this forum be for people who don't ship rather then are nice enough
to reship when a pain customers says they didn't get item. I was nice
enough to reship and she got it and you slander a 15000 rated person because
she got it late.
I hope you will remove this petty insult

You once removed a slanderous remark in the past for me so I figured before
it gets ugly I would give you another chance

I purchased what I believed to be what I saw on his aution page of Yahoo for Peace bears and when I received them they were far from what was on the page. I emailed him and asked if I could send them back and he never replied so I sent them back with confirmation and have asked for my money back. He has refused and said he doesn't do refunds and if I want the beanies I have to pay for shipping so I turned to Paypal for help and they couldn't get anywhere with him. He emailed me and threatened that I was going to be suspended from Yahoo or Paypal and I contacted both. Paypal told me he is just trying to get more money and they have advised me to turn him into the fraud department or my local police. It was 2 Peace beanies for $3.99 each and I don't think I'm being unreasonable to ask for my money back into my Paypal account. He told me in one of my emails that I was a scam artist which I've never done in my life and I would say the scam artist would be Arthur Schiavo. I have all emails from him if anybody wants to see them! I would advise anybody to stay clear of this character as any business person would certainly work this out to the comfort of the person they are dealing with. This jerk refuses to do anything other than to take more money from me and he's also told me not to bid on anymore auctions of his so if this makes sense to anyone then let me know as I'm abiding by his rules of NOT BIDDING OR DO I even WANT anything from this guy. He then accused me of sending the beanie back because they were not a certain number which was absolutely not true as all he has to do is look on Ebay and see what I have purchased. Stay clear of this guy as he's bad news.
On October 24th, 2004, ebay seller AJ Schiavo had multiple listings (over 6) for the Ty Ole Beanie Baby Bull. I emailed him and asked if any of the hang tags in the listed auctions had the "nombre" spelling in them, as opposed to the "nobre" spelling. I told him if they did, I would use his Buy-It-Now options for two. He emailed me back and said some of them DID have the NOMBRE spelling, and that I should just note on my paypal payment that I wanted two with NOMBRE spelling in the hangs tags. On Monday morning, October 25, I purchased two Ty Ole Bulls with Buy-It-Now with paypal. The ebay auction numbers are: 5929742138 and 5929381598. On November 1, I received the package with the two bulls, but with the wrong tags...these had the "nobre" version, which I had six of already...I had wanted the "nombre" versions. I emailed him back, told him of the error. He gave me a specific address to return them to, I did...sent with delivery confirmation, and he told me he received them...to give him a few more days to try to locate the NOMBRE's...because he was CERTAIN he had them at one point!!
OK...I said I"d wait. I sent emails back and forth between us all during the month of November. I have copies of all the correspondence. The entire time he assuring me he can get these beanies for me. I finally say...NO MORE...just refund the money...and he emails me and says..."that's too bad, I just got you two!" I say, "OH!! Well..OK...if you have them there, just send them! As long as they were in hand and I would have them in a few days, I'd STILL accept them. He agreed.
To this day, I have never received them. He insists that he sent them. He has never given me any proof that he shipped them, only to say, I cannot give him any proof that I did not receive them!!
Not wanting to be difficult, I said I would accept other beanies of the same value just to cover my losses...but he refuses to deal with me anymore. I attempted to file for a claim on ebay, but the two auctions together do not total $50...so I cannot recover there. I just cannot believe we cannot resolve this!! He is a HUGE beanie dealer!!!!!!! Why can't he just make good for me on the money I am out...I'm not even calling him a LIAR, maybe he DID send the second two beanies out...but I DID NOT RECEIVE THOSE BEANIES, Pat!
I know I may just have to write it off, but I cannot believe I have to
be out $45 for two stupid beanies, from a hard-head that won't make good
on his promises.
"IMPORTANT" if you want me to research it further please include Name Address.
Items "Names" you ordered including amounts paid etc.

I received those back Then I traded 3 Ole for the 2 Corrected that I resent
to her
I traded 3 Ole' misspelled to Joe Winston of Trenton NJ after I gave them
to him prior in a trade.
I paid up to get her the corrected version then mailed them and she said
she didn't get them.
If she says she didn't get them Just call Joe and ask him why was Art so
disparate to get them back after just trading them to him weeks
before?
As a result of this transaction, I posted 9 neutral feedbacks and 1 negative.
He reciprocated by leaving 2 negatives about how hard he had tried to fulfill
his obligations. In checking his overall feedback, I found that any time
someone posted a negative or neutral feedback for him, he slammed them and
they were horrendous buyers who he would never deal with again. Yet, as in
my case, when things went his way and you waited patiently for a couple months
for your order, you were an excellent buyer. Since his volume of business
is so great, negative feedback will not harm his overall feedback rating.
However, it does harm those of us who are average buyers/sellers, and he
is well aware of that, in addition to stalling buyers until the time for
Paypal/eBay refunds have elapsed, and he is taking advantage of it in an
attempt to make himself look good. I do not know if this situation can be
corrected, but I certainly urge you to investigate Mr. Schiavo and his unfair
trade practices, and, hopefully, prevent the grief that he has put many of
us through.

I bought and paid for 2 30 day presale Ty (I love Hawaii and I Love Seattle)
beanie babie bears for ajs. He get real rude if u try to contact him before
the 30 days, so I waited until 45 days and got nothing but an run around
and mass/blanket e-mail replies. I purchased the bears 12-12-04, and to date
I have rec'd nothing from him.
I have been in contact with other Ebay buyers, and we are all in the same
boat. He wants to cancel the presale, because he cannot honor the low price,
he sold them for. He know most Ebay buyers are afraid to leave negative feedback,
because he will leave regative & retalitory fb's.

I have lodged a dispute with Arthur Schiavo, better known as AJ$.com,
a seller on ebay. I won auctions in Dec and then paid for them at the end
of the month. I received them on 1/15 and because I had bought from him many
many times before, I did not open right away. when the second order came
2/07 I opened both orders. and they were both short.
the January order was short 9 beanies out of 15 and the Feb order was short 3. I emailed him and he blamed me for not contacting him sooner. blamed me for making the purchase auction list too hard to read when sent by paypal. though he admitted that he printed the list out both times for his wife to use in packing
He said that he would either refund or send me the beanies. 10 days later I asked for an update, and he said that I could just take it up with ebay. my 45 days had elapsed by that time. and he knew it. he had strung me along until it was too late.
I did force a refund from him for the second order, by filing a paypal dispute. and then I left negs. of course he retaliated but it does not bother me.
He needs to be reported and reported and reported to ebay when he fails in his capacity to ship what is paid for and negs need to be left so that other buyers can see and that ebay will pull his PS status. a concerted effort will do this.
I am not advocating any auction interference or anything closely resembling that. I am advising that if anyone hears or sees more negs appear, to approach the buyer and tell them to file with ebay and with paypal even if it is too late. Both will keep it on file...

Ebay ID aj$
I have another problem with an eBay seller - this is about Arthur Schiavo
eBay ID aj$.
In November and December 2004 and January and February 2005, I won and paid for the following Beanies:
*I Love Seattle x 2 paid 3rd December 2004 PayPal ID No 53571574B0741544V
*I Love Hawaii x 4 paid 15th December 2004 PayPal ID No.91P77944K2103680P
*Happy Birthday 2004 x 2 paid 11th January 2005 PayPal ID No. 61M19848ME183625F
*Fancy x 4 paid 24th January 2005 PayPal ID No.3BD08756CF0470526
*Mardi Gras x 4 paid 2nd February PayPal ID No.1JP07570XB189740W
I never received any of them and I sent him a money request for $155.35 and he has refunded me $105.35 (to the wrong PayPal account, not the one I sent the request from - I paid him from my bank account and wanted to be able to put the money back there - and he has refused to refund my $50 for shipping and handling. Since he nether handled nor shipped my Beanies, I fell very strongly that I should get this $50 back. He says that, as he discounted shipping costs, I'm not entitled to this refund. But I paid $50 for shipping 15 Beanies and he shipped nothing. I am especially angry about this as I have spent thousands of dollars with this seller and this is the way he rewards loyalty - he hasn't sent my Beanies, some of which I've had to replace at double the cost to keep my customers happy, he took ages to refund, putting me off day after day making excuses about his wife and his son not doing the right thing AND he had the nerve to sell on Yahoo! some of the bears I had paid for in December. those buyers won their bears way after I had paid for mine, yet he failed to send any to me.
Kind regards
Julie

Purchased 12 beanies end of April on Ebay, it is now July 23 and still havent gotten items that were paid for and insured. Seller refuses to provide any package tracking information, file an insurance claim or refund money. I have gotten quite a few emails from others he has scammed on Ebay as well.
Unfortunately he is a power seller and IMHO Ebay is more concerned about
the money he makes them as opposed to his deceptive pratice. Just a thought...
if people put the power of their voices together and contacted Ebays president,
this might force them to make fradulent sellers accountable. Myabe wishful
thinking, maybe not
