To make a long story short, you guessed it I am sure. I never received the payment. She has given me one excuse after another telling me she sent it a second time, that never showed up, and Friday she asked for my Paypal account so she could send it that way. Still no payment as of today.

Tonight I emailed her and told her that I had found bad feedback on her and had no doubt she had never send a payment of any kind. I told her I either wanted her to return the bear to me no later then tomorrow with proof of mailing or I wanted the Paypal payment by noon or I would turn her over to TraderList and file a police report with her local police department.

That got her all worked up, and she started sending emails with yet more excuses, and told me she and her husband both work for the sheriff's department and there are no laws to cover this type thing.

So here I am at your door asking for your help once again. Is there anything that can be done about this?

I have all the emails that she and I have sent each other from day one that this deal started.

I hope no one else will have to go through what I went through with this lady. Please use Caution when dealing with her and her many many ID's and email addresses.

When dealing with Anyone, I suggest that you keep every email until a deal is totally completed. Even trades/buys/sells that seem to start off nicely do not always end that way.

I too am having a horrible time dealing with the likes of Barbara Pinto.. it all started back in October when she replied to one of my post for Chinook and another beanie..( its been so long now, and they are still all packaged up and ready to be mailed out.. or I would be able to let you know the other one) She first said, she would be mailing out money order, and then that never arrived.. so she didn't reply for a bit and then when she did again, said she was sending me out a personal check, it would be good, she promised.. well that never arrived either.. through our emails, she sounded so sincere, that I invited her to join us in a holiday exchange.. I never mentioned the beanies and or the check and neither did she.. well over a month went by and still nothing..

Christmas exchange ended and she wanted to join us in a Valentines Day one.. started out ok till she started to knock people playing, insult them and call them nasty degrading names.. when I approached her to stop, she got rude and threatened to sue me for slander, since I told her she was out of the exchange.. that got her going on my case.. she harassed me non stop, even though in each email I told her not to email me again, I wasnt interested in what she had to say...

She changed her nick tons of times, and each time after reading it, cause it was a name I didnt know she was using.. I would block it and report her to aol... This went on daily, dozens of emails and Instant messages daily... She would email me saying she was other people, just like she's doing right now on the board, and with the same email addys she's using as well.. funny on the board, she said they aren't hers but in my emails, she signs them Barbara, and I have them saved and would be happy to send them to you, for you to see.. She lies so much, and then stalks you, and harasses you, as if shes got nothing better to do but make your life a living hell.. its her mission it seems.. Aol has this 5 strike policy and unfortunately aren't helping me at all with her..

She isnt threatening my life, just making my life miserable. Everywhere I go on the internet, she shows up.. I go into aol games/pogo games, and mark my room private, needing a password to access, and dont you know, she manages to get in.. sometimes won't play, just lets me know shes there, watching, other times, she tries to talk to me, but I've muted her and can't see what shes saying.. shes made rude comments while in those game rooms, but I've learned not to let her get to me.. and ignore her.. I was told by aol to go to my local police to file a report on her, and when I am feeling better, I intend to do just that..

Shes got to be stopped, before she goes after other people.. She threatens the same stuff, lies constantly, stalks online, sends constant nasty and rude emails, and instant messages.. pretends to be other people, as if that helps her look innocent and kind... and is constantly saying she sent the money, but it never arrives.. Again, I will be more than happy to forward you all the emails I have from her that I saved, wish I kept them all.. but what I do have, will prove to you she is a liar, and she uses tons of emails not just one.. and it shows a pattern with what shes doing in the post to what she's done in emails to me.. hope you can stop her, aol doesnt seem to be interested.. I only ask you to not use my name to this Sick Person... shes made my life online miserable and I want to put her in the past and never have to deal with her again.. the last email she sent me, was paradise something, and in the subject line, she put club pogo so I would think its from the game site and open it.. shes got to be stopped.. thanks and hope to hear back from you.

First of all "I Did say the bear was returned today in my update", and no I didn't leave out what she wanted me to. The facts are still the same. I have the emails to prove it.

Second of all I have Never emailed her husband, nor have I gotten a email from him. There she goes lying again!

How many times did she threaten me with filing charges on me? LOL I have lost count. While all the time she had my bear and I got no payment of any kind? Again I have all the emails to prove it.

As for that hospital I called, I asked if they had a in patient by the name of Pinto. I was told No. Nothing else was asked or said to them. That's not against the law to do or ask. She would have never known that I even called them if I had not told her myself. She had already lied to me repeatedly, I called because I was hoping she was telling the truth.

She told me to call her husband at the Sheriffs Dept. and that I did. She said do it, I did it. I have the email to prove she told me to.

I did Not talk to him, He is not allowed to have personal phone calls at work.

As for Paypal they are now aware of her too, and she knows I Did Not delete that first E-check that was no good, I didn't know how to, and could not, she was suppose to send Cash Funds. Paypal told me today how to cancel the second one that was no good and walked me through it, and that call was recorded with Paypal. They have the proof.

This lady would not know the truth if her life depended on it. And if She keeps on harassing me. I will be the one filing charges on Her for Harassment.

We promptly re-sent our address to Barbara and the wait began. When we had not received the bear by 2/14/05, I contacted Barbara to find out the status. She jumped all over me and told me that I had never sent her our address when she asked for it on 2/4. I then forwarded the e-mail to her, proving that I had responded promptly. After several back and forth e-mails, she kept refering to a confirmation number. I questioned why she needed a confirmation number if, as she said, we had not responded to her request for an address. ???? I have not heard from her since then and she has not responded to the last two e-mails I have sent. I think she has absolutely no intention of mailing and hopes that I will drop it. I realize that $5 is not a lot of money, but it's the principal. It's really sad when you can't trust someone for a $5 bear.

See, she's sneaky. She gave me a legitimate tracking number, the only problem is that it was not coming to me. People, please don't deal with her. I've heard from other people that have had bad dealings with her. She is not to be trusted. All of this for a $5 beanie. Can you believe it? I thought about just forgetting about, but you know what... its the principal. No one should be able to lie and steal from anyone, whether it's $5 or $500.

I traded with this traderon January 9th, 2005. I sent her a MWMT Pippo and she had promised to send me a Countdown 3-2-1.
On January 9th she wrote that she had the flu and asked me for my address which I had sent to her before. Lately I have written to her several times and even tried to phone but only got an answering service and left 2 messages. Still no answer.

I hope you can help me recover my $47.80 from Barbara Pinto. My dealings with her began on 3-13-2005 when she requested to buy some beanies from me, a Hawaii beanie for $24.07.....she never did send money for this.....and i never mailed the Hawaii bear...Also on March 13, 2005 she requested to buy alani, april birthday bear with hat, blarn-e, and bbom thank you bear, She later added a Hearthrob to her request.....Those 5 bears cost the $39.80....She sent me a check for $39.80 for an alani, april birthday bear with hat, blarn-e, hearthrob, and bbom thank you bear....she said she would send m/o immediately and she was going on vacation....i contacted her after the designated time to see if she had sent a m/o yet....she had not...then said she sent a check....which she assured me would be good.....
i received the check and mailed the beanies.....then got notice from my bank that she cancelled the check and they charged me $8. So I am trying to collect $47.80 from her. She says she mailed another m/o.....which never arrives....

Hello first of all my husband is a deputy sheriff in internet fraud/crimes dept with the sheriffs office. So dont tell me about internet fraud..... This check was not cancelled according to my bank it was never presented and then when it finally was it was stopped and my bank cannot give me any information as to why, but they did verify that there was NOT a stop payment put on this check by me and she was told to represent it and my bank told me that she should not be charged the 8.00 being nothing was done on my end. I told her I sent her another check I have also a 5,000.00 overdraft on my acct so we cannot figure out why this check was stopped. She was told that she can deposit the new check and it is sure to clear. I had a problem with a set of checks that I ordered from checks in the mail.com and my bank thinks that might have something to do with it something about a routing number was wrong, I ordered new checks from the bank and I have not had a problem since. I cannot get out of the house lately I have an infant with cystic fibrosis and the weather here in florida has been bad with the rain and mugginess and that flares up my sons CF so for me to go get a money order costs me a day having to recoup my son. that is my side and the new check was mailed out to her awhile ago...... thats the only thing i am offering her.... You can charge me with whatever you want but there was not internet fraud done here should I quote you florida state statute on internet fraud??? I would be more than happy to send you the state statue thank you and have a blessed day...

I am also going to have one of the internet fraud detectives at my husbands job verify that you are a true licensed internet fraud investigator because impersonation is jail time thanks

 well here is the problem now. I sent her a new check the middle of last week after she told me she didnt receive a new payment. I am leaving in 1 hour for Miami Childrens Hospital my husband drops us off and we stay in hospital housing at one of the pavillians as all of the doctors are there on campus. Last time I was there we were there two weeks. I dont have time to go and get a money order right now as she wants. She said she is returning my check to me when she receives it so now she is being difficult. I am trying hard to resolve this. I sent her a check last time for 50.00 to make it easier for my checking acct balance. So now I dont know what else she wants me to do. I am more than generous in repaying. And she wont accept payment, I assured her everything with the checks were taken care of. If she wants a money order she might have to wait until 2 weeks for me to get home. I told her I would take the beanies with me and see if I can mail them back from the hospital postal center, but they were for my 7 year old daughter as I am trying to replinish beanies she lost in floods from last years 3 hurricanes. So now you can tell her either she can deposit the new check or she can wait possibly two weeks for a money order. I should not be having to deal with this or worry about this when I am gone. She had the audacity to bring my children into this telling me basicallly that im not a good mother that my CHILDREN are not learning a good lesson, she really needs help. I am a good catholic woman who tries her heardest to go to church every either saturday or sunday and would not want to screw anyone over..I dont know what else you want me to do at this point, as I am trying to make good and shes not working with me. I am only going to be on the internet a few times as they have wireless access in the nurses lounge but I cant get in there all the time. I hope to hear from you soon with an amicable resolution to this situation, as I really dont want to take away beanies from my daughter.

Later June 5: I just looked in my checkbook and when Jill told me she did not receive the bidpay money order yet I do believe that was before memorial day weekend around the 25th it was a friday, I went ahead and asked bidpay to cancel it and I sent her out a check on the 1st of June so she needs to give it some time to get to her

Hi Trudy....yep.....no personal checks have arrived here yet from Barbara....It would have been here if she really mailed it on the first! .and as far as paypal goes....i know sometimes when someone makes a payment....i will get an email saying that it is put on hold till it clears.....then when it does i get another email saying that it has posted to my paypal account....don't know if that is something paypal does when someone has had past delinquincies.....but yes,,,,Barbara did say she would paypal.....so i was confused with the bidpay email....bidpay has not responded to my email.....and they said i just needed to register if my address was listed wrong.....so maybe they sent me a money order after all....this is such a riot....i appreciate all you have done so far.....hopefully all will be resolved soon.....jill

I got an email from bidpay saying they have sent me a money order......YIPPEEEEE...LOL.....wlyk when it arrives.....I also received Barbara's personal check today for the $50.....On the outside of the envelope in her handwriting it says she mailed on June 1, 05......BUT ....the postmark was stamped June 6, 05.......I did not open the envelope but i could see the check inside the transparent envelope.....Again....thanks for all your help......and Hopefully all will be fine now.....jill

Hi Trudy....received the western union bidpay money order yesterday.....ran to the bank to deposit it....LOL......the date on the check was 6-7-05  HOPEFULLY this will now be finished.....   thanks again for all your help.....jill
