I purchased some merchandise from MLBatgrl (Mike & Drew Basten) on Sept 9th, 1998. He told me the merchandise would be in around Oct 15, and he would ship as soon as he received them. When I didn't receive any merchandise I contacted Mike and Drew and I was told they would be shipped to me in Nov. He gave me his personal E-mail address which is MRBAS10. Nov. 15, I contacted Mike again to let him know I still had not received my Bamm Beano's and he deleted the E-mail so I sent him another E-mail telling him I wanted a full refund. On Nov 24th, Mike replied to my E-mail telling me that he would send me my refund and for me to find somebody else to purchase them from. Dec 7th, I sent Mike another E-mail asking him about the refund he promised to mail out. His son Drew sent me back a reply saying he would check with the accountant in the morning and if it had not been sent out, he would get it sent out. Dec 14th, I sent Mike another E-mail telling him I still had not received my refund. Drew Basten, Mikes son sent me a reply saying that they did not have to give me a refund and that he would check with his dad tomorrow and it was up to him to make the final decision. Dec 18th, I received another E-mail from Drew stating that he had checked with his attorney and they didn't have to give me a refund but they would send it out on Monday. Dec. 29th, I received an E-mail from Vanessa, screen name VGonz86843 telling me that she was aware of Mike lying to people and not sending their merchandise. She said she would help me from that end because they both live in the same city. I sent back a reply to her wanting to know how she got my name and e-mail address and she told me that she was going through Mike's invoices that he gave to her and she had contacted various people letting them know he was not taking care of his customers. Dec. 30th, I sent Mike another E-mail letting him know I did not receive my refund. Jan 4th, I sent Drew another e-mail telling him I still had not received my refund and the mail was deleted by Mike or Drew. Jan. 4th, I sent the same E-mail telling Mike and Drew I had not received my refund and it was also deleted. Jan. 5th, I sent the same letter but titled it, CONSIDER YOURSELF TURNED INFOR MAIL FRAUD, and that was read and a reply was sent. Jan. 5th, Drew sent me a reply telling me that he contacted Salvino's and that he would be shipping my Bamm Beano's to me ASAP. He told me to call anybody I wish. Jan. 12th, I sent Mike another E-mail letting him know that I was aware that he had received his merchandise from Salvino's and that I wanted a REFUND as promised to me in 3 separate correspondences. These are the confirmation numbers from Salvino's. confirmation # 980929A & #980929G Jan. 13th, He sent me a reply telling me that the Bamm Beano's were mailed out on Jan. 9th. Jan 24th, still no merchandise nor refund. Mike now has another AD running using a different business name, screen name, and address. CardNComic V & M COLLECTIBLES, DREW & MIKE BASTEN (MBAD INC) Mike Basten 1920 S. Mayfair, Springfield Mo. 65804. NEW MAILING ADDRESS DREW FARRAR 1330 E.GRAND ST SPRINGFIELD MO. 65804. He has ripped off other people as well and has given them the same excuses that he has given me. He also has an account on Ebay and this guy should be stopped! If he wasn't trying to hide anything, then why did he change his screen name to CardNComic and use a different mailing address? HE HAS NO INTENTION OF MAKING THINGS RIGHT BY GIVING ME A REFUND WHICH HE PROMISED TO DO 3 DIFFERENT TIMES, NOR SEND MY MERCHANDISE.

DO WHAT EVER YOUD LIKE HER BEANIES WERE MAILED AND I HAVE THE RECIEPT SO I AM MORE THEN COVERED.BESIDES THE FACT THAT I BELIEVE SHE RECIEVED THE ITEM AND IS A LIAR, I WILL RESEND TOMMOROW, AND SHE WILL HAVE TO SIGN FOR THEM THIS TIME THANKS MIKE BASTEN

He said he was resending them on Jan 27. I did NOT receive my Bamm Beano's! This guy needs to be put on the bad traders list before he takes money from other people!! With all the problems that so many have had with this guy, I don't understand why he is not on the Bad Traders List already. ( I guess I am out the $54.85. I still plan on filing with the PO but I am handicapped and it's difficult for me to get there unless I have someone to drive me.

I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED MY BAMM BEANO'S FROM MIKE BASTEN. I NOTICED HE IS STILL NOT ON THE BAD TRADER LIST.

Just wanted to send you an update. As of today, 2-6-99, I still have not received my merchandise.

The cautionlist emailed this person many times about the complaint and asked for the proof that they said they had that proved they had sent. They ignored all email except the first one when they said they were resending the merchandise on Jan 27 and that it would have to be signed for. The merchandise was never recieved. Email is still current one.
