I bought a Black Batty Buddy on e-bay from Nancy. She sent it to me with a non-mint tag so I sent it back to her.I trusted her and sent the buddy priority mail without a conformation number. Nancy said she never received it so now I have nothing for my money.I have received other e-mails with complaints about not receiving their merchandise from Nancy.

I recently was scammed by a guy at NoBidding with the user name, Corvettekid. He sold me a Buckingham as a presale and at the time he had flawless feedback rating. I also gave him more money for other international beanies (Chinook and Nipponia). His promised deadline dates past and I asked for my money back. All along his emails were very friendly and attentive and I thought he would come through. Well to this day I have not received anything and I need help. Unfortunately I did not keep documentation of his emails or mine, beacuse as I said he seemed so friendly. I feel foolish. I know his name and address. Would you be able to help me? I have already notified NoBidding about his conduct and I found now he has been banned from the site. I tried to contact a few others who posted negative feedback about him very recently. A good friend has referred me to you. Please let me know what I can do. Thank you,
Jane

On 12/18/00, I sent a PayPal payment of $100.35 to CorvetteKid75@aol.com for a Sakura beanie I had purchased from him on NoBidding. His name and address is: Brad Harper, 2514 Woodland Hills Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. His NoBidding seller name is corvettekid and the item # was corvettekid_31. I have never received the beanie and he has not responded to any of my multiple e-mails since I sent the payment.

I also e-mailed a Fraud Report to PayPal and they have sent me instructions to submit a Buyer Protection Claim which I will be doing shortly. Anything else you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. I understand he has also ripped off several other people recently. You can see that by reviewing his feedback at the NoBidding site where he was recently terminated.

After ordering 6 Chinooks from Brad Harper (akaCorvetteKid), I have had nothing but lies about how the beanies were going to be sent, the money refunded, now a MO is suppose to be sent. MO sent 12/16/00, realize that a tornado went through that area, and allowed sufficient time for regrouping by seller. Brad ignored E-mails, false promises, and delaying tactics have been the order of the day. Occasional return E-mails promised refunds with none being received. I cannot afford to lose $174, nobody can. Beanie traders/buyers/sellers are a SUPER group, with few exceptions. It's these bad apples that make it difficult for all of us. Integrity is the keyword, if sellers have no intention of providing the product, then stay off-line or suffer the consequences!! I have provided Brad Harper with enough time to return the money to me, but he will not do it. I have been understanding through his circumstances and he has ignored the fact that I need that money back (loss of job, upcoming neurosurgery). FAIR is FAIR and this TRADER LIST has provided the forum to track these cheaters. Whatever help you can offer would be appreciated!!

I have not received my item which was purchased on 12/12/00 on Ebay from Bradford Harper aka bwhcollectibles, corvettekid, corvettekid75. Hello, I was referred to you by nobidding. I purchased in the past from corvettekid, and was always pleased with his service, promptness, and products. My last purchase was not however successful, and that is why I am seeking your advice. I mailed him a moneyorder on 11,1, 2000. He emailed he received it on 11,13,2000 and beanies would be in the mail that week. None arrived. I contacted him on 12,2,2000 to find out what happened. He said on 12,4,2000 that he was out of buckingham, had only chinook and would mail both that week. None arrived. On 12,28,2000 I emailed again to ask what's up, he answered on 12,30,2000 they were there and would mail that week. None arrived, I have contacted him three times since then, and he is not responding. Now I have learned that he has been banned from nobidding for bad trading and selling. At this point I am sending him a letter by mail, stating that I would like a refund, since he is not answering my emails. It is not a rude letter, it just states the facts of our agreement, and in light of his being banned, I would like a refund, I have enclosed a self address stamped envelope for his convenience. Do you think this is the right thing to do? As I said earlier, I have had successful transactions with him. I know his wife has been ill and in and out of the hospital, and his home town was struck by a natural disaster right around Christmas, so I have been very patient. Please let me know your opinion, I have given him until 2,9,2001 to respond to my letter, then I think I should contact web police and file the fraud complaint that I have received from the u.s. mail. Your help is appreciated, PLMK as soon as you can. I have kept copies of
all emails between us. Christine

After bidding and winning a Playstation 2 and extra controller at eBay I submitted my payment to PayPal....and then began my nightmare! At eBay he is under the name bwhcollectibles, and he is also known as corvettekid75 and corvettekid at eBay. He is connected with beanie baby sales so please be wary of him. He tells me he sent the merchandise and when it never came he came up with all kinds of excuses (including losing family members to a tornado!). I asked for tracking numbers and he after he finally responded (e-mail contact is horrble), he always gave no info. Then he said he would claim refund with USPS for lost package. I am thinking...great! If he sent it that way it was insured. No...he couldn't supply any info on that. Then after practically begging him he said he sent a refund. I simply asked what form of payment....money order, cashier's check, etc....he didn't say....how was it sent?....no info. I never received this refund. Then he sends another one after I had talked to his own mother. He had the nerve to use her phone number and home address in his contact info even though he was married and living elsewhere!!!! Now he send me rude e-mails telling me he has proof he sent first refund and now he will send a second refund. I told him he had no fears if the first refund was lost. Just cancel whatever it was. No reponse! He simply writes me and tells me SECOND refund is on the way. Well, second refund never showed. How was it sent? A smart move would have been certified, registered or the like. Right? No....I have no idea how he sent it because he won't say. Now he tells me he has proof he sent it and to leave him alone! My feeling on this is that until I have the money back in my pocket it will never be over. All these "lost" things....the original merchandise....2 refunds? Oh please!!!! Common sense says that I cannot cash something I haven't received. If I sent something and the person told me they didn't receive it after several weeks I would be thankful they let me know. Then I could put a stop payment on it. Ya think? No.......this guy just stalls and stalls. I have filed a complaint with the FBI, eBay and PayPal. I am now going to call the Police. He lives in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area. I am not the only person who has gone through this nightmare. We are trying to stick together to make sure this guy does the right thing. The thing that sickens me the most about all this is that he is acting like I am out to defraud him! Wow! I hope he has fun talking to the police...

I paid for a sakura beanie babie on 12-17-00, by Paypal, from Bradford Harper. It started 2 weeks earlier when I was on Bean-e-Link. Brad had a listing for 18 Sakura Beanie Babies, I emailed him and ask if I reserved one ifI could pay him on 12-17-00. He emailed back and agreed to let me pay then. On 12-17-00 I sent $100.35 to him through Paypal. On 12-30-00 I again sent him an email asking status of my order, he emailed back and ask me tio send my info again and he would send a refund. I have sent him several emails askng for my money but he doesn't answer. The last one I sent I told him that I would file fraud charges if I didn't hear from him. I still haven't heard anything. I would be grateful if you could help, but if not people need to be warned. I have lost money in deals twice since October.

I received a check from this guy on Friday and I am praying it clears. I know you have been in touch with Melissa and she also received a check. Both of our checks had "2nd Refund!!!" written in the Memo section (the nerve of the guy). A gentleman named Gary Love contacted me a few days ago. He was ripped off at nobidding.com (Playstation 2). I am not sure if he received his refund yet. His e-mail is cen56659@centuryinter.net .I hope this has been helpful...Thanks for having a place on the internet where we can turn to when things like this happen. I have been sick over this whole thing and am hoping it will be soon over. However, I don't want this guy to get away with all he has done. I want to make sure he doesn't do this to anyone else!
Keep up the good work...

the guy Ted you are talking about won an auction of mine for a black batty budddy. I mailed the buddy to him with delivery confirmation and it was insured. He got the buddy and emailed claiming the tag was not mint . I emailed him and told him that when it left me it was mint and i have not had anyone else to complain about my beanies or buddies not being mint. I offered to replace it or refund his money back if he would send the batty back. He claims that he mailed it to me without any delivery confirmation or insurance on it. I cannot refund his money or send him a replacement if i dont have the other one. I will get Bills remainder out towards the end of this week. Thanks Nancy

I would appreciate any help you can give me! I won two auctions from beanieinbama back in September. One was ebay auction number 430072639 for one dozen Chinook beanie babies. The auction ended on 9/8/00 and I paid her immediately after the auction ended with Paypal for 445.00+15.00 shipping=460.00. Those items were promised by Oct. 31. Then I won another auction from her (#430802014) on 9/11 for 6 Nipponia beanie babies for 306.11+7.25 shipping = 313.36. Those were promised by Dec. 1. I agreed to buy additional beanies from her outside of e-bay. Those were 12 Buckingham beanie babies for 680.00+15.00=695.00 and also 12 more Nipponia beanie babies for 630.00 including shipping. I have not received any of these items, even though she has said she was sending them on several occasions. She stopped answering my e-mails for a few weeks after she said she was shipping them all on Dec. 6. She said she was waiting to get eveything together so she could ship them all at once. As you can see, I paid separate shipping on each group of beanies and I expected to get them as she received them! Last week she finally agreed to send me my money back, but of course, I have received nothing and no explanation of why there are no beanies. Since the value of these beanies has dramatically fallen because she has taken so long, I do NOT want the beanies any more and I don't think it is fair for her to send them now, not that she has offered. I want my money back. She has had this money for four months!!! I can't afford that and it has caused me much stress to be out that much money! Well, thanks for letting me vent and please e-mail me if you have any more questions. I would be happy to cooperate with you or anyone else (law enforcement included). Thank you.   Rebecca Shepherd

She did try to cheat me but I kept on her and she finally sent me the Chinook bear that I purchased from a pre-sell auction on Yahoo after months of waiting. I bought the bear on August 25th. The delivery date for the Chinook was the end of October and I did not get it until November. If I had not stayed on her and let her know that I was not going away she would have never completed the deal because her reputation on that site was bombed anyway already and not sending my item would not have mattered to her but I knew about her selling on ebay and No bidding and she knew I would find a way to trash her rep on there if she did not send my item. I know of one person named Carolyn that she has not sent her bear to and she bought at the same time I did. CRegan2136@aol.com this is her email address. Maybe you can be of service to her. I sent her $71.89 for 2 Chinooks. I don't want the beanies now as I have bought them from another seller. I got 3 of them so I don't need any more. PS: Get her good for all of us who have lost money and had no one to fight for us.She never sent me the beanies. I saw she did sell the beanies on Ebay after telling me she didn't have them. She has also promised several times to refund at least 60.00 of the money I paid. The last email was on 12-20, when she told me she had lost several family members to the tornados that hit that area. Carolyns refund was mailed to her . She purchased chinooks from me and her ck bounced and did not clear my bank and i was charged for that happening. I emailed her to let her know what happened and she emailed back saying that she would send payment again, which she did. She asked for a refund and i mailed her a refund to her, by regular mail as she mailed the payment to me. I was going to paypal her the funds instead but with paypal i have reached my spending limit with them. She should get her refund here in a day or 2. Thanks

I doubt she will send the money but I just wanted you to know what was going on here. We are planning on pressing charges on Wednesday. The sign on the box for pickup hours were Monday - Saturday at 6pm each day. On Carolyns and Rebeccas he said that they were mailed out to them but exact date he is not sure. I dont know if they have had time to get to them. Carolyn lives in Alaska. Bill should get his tomorrow or friday and Rebecca should gets hers also. I have no reason to lie to anyone and i want these people to get their refunds where these transactions will be taken care of and ended. Thanks Nancy

First, they never answered a single one of my e-mails after I sent payment, including the one where I requested a refund, so I don't see how they can say they answered e-mails and explained.. If they had answered me and even told me they were working on straightening things out, I would have been more patient. Second, I have not received any refund in the mail so far. Third, I'm sorry if they got cheated out of some money but that certainly doesn't give them the right to keep my money and not send my Sakura. Fourth, I did not e-mail you with a "different story"; I was absolutely truthful with you. Fifth, they took my money after the tornado had struck in December; they told me about it in the only e-mail I received from them requesting payment. If they weren't going to be able to handle it, why didn't they just cancel the reserve then? I am upset because they are trying to make me feel like a villian and all I did was pay for a beanie, wait 3 weeks for delivery, and then request a refund. There, now I feel a little better that I got that out of my system. Thanks for being a sounding board. Anyway, can you find out if a refund was specifically mailed to me and on what date it was mailed. I'm worried that I might not have been on their list of refunds issued since I apparently wasn't on their list of people they e-mailed.I would love to get my money back from him but I think he is a true scammer and it will never happen unless the law gets involved. Let me know what you think.  Laura

they have not answered me. What should I do? Do I keep trying to contact them, or do I go through you at this point. I had a note in my inbox that he sent a message to me last night and this morning, but no message was attached. If he can send the bears, that is great, as I desperately want them. If he can't I will take a refund as well, but I at least want something. He has emailed twice that they will be in the mail in a couple of days from receipt of my money order and the last time I heard from him was on 12-30-2000. Still no bears have arrived. I have even given my phone number so he can call collect. I haven't been rude, I know of his wife's health problems and the tornado and all. I think things just got overwhelming with Christmas being in the middle of all that. If he would just answer or call me collect and let me know. I don't believe they are deliberately dishonest, but I have been waiting a long time with no word, no refund, and no bears. PLMK, what I should do, thanks for your help,  Christine.

I will wait one week before I mail the letter and the self addressed envelope. I don't believe that the beanies have been sent, as I paid $6.00 for priority mail insured with delivery confirmation. On every occassion before, I have had to sign to receive the beanies from the postman. I have asked on more then one occassion for the tracking number, but they haven't provided one. I fell hook line and sinker for the story too about all Nancy's health problems, and all their relatives being hurt or killed in the tornado. At times, I even felt guilty as heck for inquiring about my money or bears. I will let you know in a week if I have heard anything. I did not receive any response from them today, but you sent me a message that I sent to them yesterday that included my phone number, all they have to do is call collect.  The total Nancy owes me is $2098.36.  Rebecca

I am not real sure how this works. First I will provide all information then tell you the steps that I have taken. I purchased 6 Sakura ty beanie babies from Bradford Harper who resides at 202 Greenline Road in Gordo, Al 35466. I sent Brad a money order in the $578.00 on Dec 2, 2000. I located him through the nobidding.com website (user id corvettekid). I have not received either the 6 Sakura's or a refund. After 2 weeks had passed I sent Brad an email asking him where my product was. He informed me that his town was hit by a tornado and that he would be sending me a refund. Well, needless to say the money order never arrived. He said the mail had lost it and he would go the bank & issue a stop payment on money order and have another issued. He again emailed me that he sent the last money order last Thursday. Yet another week has passed and I still do not have the money order. After reading the instructions. I have sent him an email with deadline of next Friday. I informed him of all the things posted by your website. When I contacted nobidding.com they had already suspended his account due to additional complaints. I contacted them again and nobidding had informed me that he was making good on some of his deals. Which gave me hope. I feel that I have not received a refund because of the large amount of money and he simply does not have it. Maybe if someone from your website contacted him he would understand that this is a crime and that he could go to jail. I have a copy of the money order sent to him and a few emails from him that promised refund. I hope there is some way that you can help.   Sincerely,    Kimberly Smith

She sold me $2100.00 worth of beanies & promised to get them to me before Dec.3- 2000.this was the 24th of Nov. I waited 2 weeks no beanies,i started emailing her & she started having all kind's of problem's. her daughter got the flu. now she found my beanies on her porch with the package all torn & beaten up you couldn't see the address yet they went back to her,her other daughter broke an arm at school. So oh trusting me had her add $288.00 more to the package that went back too her,I waited more& more and started emailing her again & her Aunt was answering her mail for her (right) Her mom was taken to the hospital very ill,my beanies must be lost in the mail but she wouldn't give me a tracking number,no matter how hard i tried to get a tracking number she would not send it,she was checking to find out where they were.I said i was going to Alabama & pick them up,the weather was real bad by then & they had a toronado there( which was true) but not in her part of town,so needless to say i was not a happy camper, she also had to have a nerve block. not,i think she had a lot of nerve,I did recieve my money in full & i also went to Alabama & saw her residence Dora Crook

Comments: I think I have figured out something about why beanieinbama@aol.com (Nancy Cummings)seems to defraud some of the bidders on her auctions. From a pattern I see if appears that she will withhold some items and the refund of money for a few of the bidders. All the while following through on other auctions, hence still receiving POSITIVE FEEDBACK from winners( her FEEDBACK was 94 when I won it is now over 200). Those of us who leave NEGATIVE FEEDBACK or have complaints appear as disgruntled individuals because we are in the minority. I won 2 Chinook Beanies in Ebay Auction #520606722 which ended on 12-09-00. I sent a MO in the amount of $54.57 on 12-15-00. Five days after the auction ended. On 12-26-00 beanieinbama@aol.com posted FEEDBACK for me, indicating that the funds were received. I checked by mail box daily to see if the Chinook’s had arrived. They did not. Out of the 16 bidders I was the only one not to receive what I paid for. On 01-04-01, I emailed Nancy Cummings about the status of the Chinooks. She responded on 01-04-01, stating ,”I will have to pull the receipts and see when they were mailed and ck with the post office. Thanks for emailing me and letting me know. Nancy”. I did not hear from so I emailed her again on 01-10-01, checking to see if there was any progress on where my Chinooks were?. She again responded on 01-10-01, “Hi Kathryn, the post office told me that they have not been delivered to anyone. They suggested giving it a few more days. I am sorry that they have not arrived yet!! I have cked and everyone else has gotten theirs......one lady...... took 8 days to get to her by priority mail. Plmk and I will let you know as soon as the post office tells me something”. It is now over a month since the auction ended and I am getting worried. I email her again on 01-15-01, 3rd Status check on shipment: It has been over a month since I won the 2 Chinooks and sent you the money for them and they have not arrived. I am aware that the other people who bid have received their Chinooks. Since the Post Office had not delivered my package, per your last email, can you tell me where it is? For the $5.35 I paid for shipping of the two Chinooks, the package should have been insured and have Delivery Tracking Confirmation. Out of the 15-16 other bidders it is disheartening to be the only one not to receive the items I purchased and for the delivery to take this long. Please advise me of the current status. Thank you, Kathryn . Her response on 01-15-01 was,

“ Hi Kathryn, i understand where you are coming from. They were sent by prioirty mail and insured for the amount that you paid for them. I have filed a claim with the post office on the package. I have not heard anything back from them as of yet. I will ck tomorrow and see what i can find out. Thanks and i am sorry ! Nancy.”

Again I had to initiate contact with beanieinbama@aol.com ,Nancy Cummings. On 01-24-01 I made a request for my money back in an email to her :

Hello Nancy,
It has been 10 days since my last email from you regarding my (2) Chinook's I won in the Ebay auction on 12-09-00 and paid $54.57 for those items. I am making a formal refund request for the above listed amount. I expect to receive those funds within 7 days from the date of this email. I have been very patient regarding how this situation has been dealt with in an untimely manner. I respectfully request that you forward my refund in the amount of $54.57 within 7 days.
Kathryn.

The last communication I received from Nancy Cummings was a response to this email on 01-24-01 which stated:

“ Hi Kathryn, i will be more than happy to refund your amount that you paid for the auction. The chinooks were mailed and i am sorry that the post office lost them and they have not been delivered. I will get a refund in the mail to you. I understand that you have been patient in the matter, and i too was patient when your payment came in past the due date and i still left positive feedback for you. Thanks Nancy”.

As of today 02-14-01 I have not received my refund or any kinds of communication from beanieinbama@aol.com / Nancy Cummings. Although the sum she owes me is small compared to what she owes other, it is total lack of ethics that bothers me about the whole situation. This person continues to received NEGATIVE FEEDBACK which should be taken seriously. You may be the next person to not receive what you paid for and end up losing your money as well. I want my money and will pursue contacting the Law Enforcement agency in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the Attorney Generals Office, U S Postal Inspector and anyone else that I need to get my money back.

Brad and Nancy had issued the first check they said they had. My husband had put it in the bank along with other things and had not said a word to me. He of course swears he did but I wouldn't have forgotten something like that. I am sending the second check {uncashed} back to them today. I am very sorry for the mistake but I really did not know and I'm sorry for wasting your time.

I have contacted paypals and nobidding but they have been of little help since it was so long ago. I have kept all of the e-mail I have sent him and the few that I received from him if that will help. I hope you can help me. I look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerly, Ray Steagall

I purchased an Issy Beanie "Exclusive to The Four Season's Hotel"from a presale auction by this person (Nancy Cummings) auction #535535272. There were 12 high bidders for 12 Issys. I've e-mailed all of them and none have received their bears. I decided to investigate further. On her negative feedbacks on EBay, I e-mailed others and they all have been scammed out of money. She usually does this for larger amounts or auctions containing multiple items. The grace period as you know is 30 days after auction ends. In this case it was up on Feb. 9th. She claims the beanies should arrive any day (same response as 2 weeks ago) We feel she is either waiting until the new Issys are released to the general public and then she'll send one of those or she'll just keep our money. We are from Canada and we sent her a U.S. money order. The tracking number indicates that it was received. She does appear on the bad trader list. Is there anything you can reccomend that we do? Your advise would be greatly appreciated. We have kept all of her correspondences and she even left positve feedback on us as buyers because of or prompt payment. I look forward to your response. Thanks so much, Tina

Comments: I paid 30.00 for 3 Beanie Buddies at Ebay. I sent a personal check, it cleared my bank and she said she shipped. 30 days later no Buddies, nothing! After numerous emails, she kept claiming the PO had lost it or something. I ran out of patience and filed a complaint at Ebay. As soon as they notified her of my complaint the same day I got a refund. The email address she refunded my money thru paypal was snowballbrown@aol.com. She now has a new user ID at ebay under that Email address. So buyers beware!!!!

traders_name: Nancy Cunningham Comments: I bid on a Dutch presell auction for I-Cybie on E-Bay, seller had good feedback at that point. Auction listing stated delivery within 30 days of end of auction. I found out that Tiger Electronics has said that I-Cybie will not be out until mid-June, which seller did not write and say delivery would be delayed, refund would be offered, or any other thing. That's a really long time to wait. Also in the meantime I checked out other complaints about this seller on traderlist.com and comments are not encouraging. I wrote Nancy once requesting a refund, then twice, first a 99% blank email from her, then she e-mailed me February 25, 2001 and said she would send refund "this next week." So far nothing. I started claim process with E-bay, and just now found out that she has now been suspended from E-Bay (sadly, before I could post a negative feedback). I'm out $167.50. There were 4 other bidders besides me on that auction, and even after that she had another Dutch presell auction for 10 I-Cybies that ended February 9, 2001, a total of 15 "lucky bidders." Any of you bidders out there, feel free to contact me. That's a lot of OPM for Nancy.

traders_name: Nancy Cummings Comments: Hi Folks! My story is a rather familiar one. I won an auction from Beanieinbama@aol.com on Ebay last fall for a dozen Niponnias. The auction went well. Excellent communications and great beanies. So when Nancy e-mailed me a short while afterwards and said she had Chinooks and Buckingham beanies and Buckingham buddies coming in and whether or not I might be interested, I e-mailed her that I could use some Buckinghams. We negotiated a price of $50 a piece for (6) Buckingham beanies and $70 a piece for (2) Buckingham buddies. On November 16th I sent her a money order for $446 ($6 was the shipping. From that point on I have been getting one excuse after another as to why I haven`t received the bears. I had a phone conversation with Nancy back in January at which time she said she still had not received the bears from her contact in the UK. I asked her about the 2 newest Ty releases Periwinkle and Sunny. She said she had some @ $10 a piece and I asked her to send me (2) of each. She also said she had (1) Buckingham beanie "in hand" which she would include along with them. When the Periwinkles and Sunnys arrived, there was no Buckingham beanie in the box. I inquired as to what happened to it but got no answer. This is when I started to get concerned! Nancy has been giving me excuses like: my kids had the chicken pox, we had a tornado, one package came back to her saying "address not known", been in the hospital, etc. Sound familiar? I believe she may very well have had all of those things happen, however, it never stopped her from running more auctions on Ebay. She even ran a few dutch auctions for Buckinghams (which she delivered to a few lucky people who then left her positive feedbacks on ebay). So why wasn`t she able to deliver mine? She has claimed several times to have shipped them to me (and even sent me a "insured ticket number", which could not be traced, I know, I had my Post Office run it through their computer) but to this day, nothing but the Periwinkles and Sunnys has shown up! I e-mailed her on 2/26 and stated that if I did not have either the beanies or a full refund in my hands by 3/3, I would file mail fraud charges. She e-mailed me on 3/1 and said that the refund had been mailed out on Monday 2/26, but as with the beanies, I`m sure she has lied again. Nothing showed up today so I have filed the charges. I spoke with an officer from the Tuscaloosa Polce Department who is now going to look into this for me. On Monday, I will be contacting the Post Office to file charges with them as well. If anyone else would like to add to her case file, the Officers to ask for are Investigator Talley (205) 349-2121, and Andy Wesson (205) 349-0420. I regret having to take this action, but it has been nearly 4 months since I sent her the money order and with Buckingham having been retired now, I doubt whe will be able to honor the deal, and I can`t afford to wait any longer. Anyone wishing to read the correspondence between Nancy and myself may e-mail me. I have all of the e-mails.

Update filed by: kwilcox@cheshire.net

you won`t believe this one. I notified the police department in Tuscaloosa to file charges against Nancy on Saturday 3/3 and received a phone call from one of the investigating officers today to formally press the charges. When I got home this evening, there was a check from Brad Harper in my mailbox for the full amount ($400). It is a personal check and I will need to have the bank clear it before this whole issue is resolved. This has got to be the first time that Nancy has told the truth. All of the other times that she said the beanies had been mailed, nothing ever showed up, therefore I was sure she was lying again. She e-mailed me last Thursday 3/1 to let me know that the refund was mailed out on Monday 2/26. The check is dated 2/27 and is post marked 2/28 so she was off a bit on the dates. But atleast I have something from her. Please let me know if I need to do something with regards to my complaint. It can stay on the board and hopefully my story will help prevent someone else from getting cheated. The contacting names of the Officers should remain there as well, in case anyone wishes to add to her case file. I was informed today that there are 5 other cases pending against her (most likely they are on the complaint board as well). Thanks again for all your help!---------Kevin

Hello, I recently purchased 2 Buckinghams from a guy name Mark Brown from Alabama on nobidding.com. I mailed my money order back in Feb 6th certified with return receipt. I received my return receipt showing that my mail was picked on Feb 20th. The odd part is that, the return receipt was not signed by Mark Brown but by a Nancy Cummings. I emailed Mark asking why a certified mail that I send to him would be signed by another individual and this is his answer, "she works with me and i had her to go by and pick up the letter for me before the post office closed when she was on her lunch break. When I went by my po box after work I had a orange slip in my box to pick it up. It had on the slip that i could sign and authorize a representative to pick up for me , which I did and I authorized her to pick it up. I have been so busy I havent even cashed your money order that you sent me. The job that I have I constantly have business seminars and meetings that I have to attend. Thanks Mark ". How ironic that this Nancy Cummings is also from Alabama. I believe that the Nancy Cummings who signed my return receipt is also the same Nancy Cumming that everyone is complaining about and that she, Mark Brown and Brad Harper are working together. On Feb 26th I receive an email from Mark stating that he mailed my 2 Buckinghams by priority insured. But on March 2nd, Mark emailed me saying that my package came back with “unable to deliver” and he even asked me to confirm my address and the only thing incorrect about the address is that it was missing "west". I sincerely believe he never sent the package because priority from Alabama to Anchorage Alaska takes 4-5 days and if the address was truly written incorrectly, Mark would not have gotten the package until much latter, like next week. Also, according to my postman even if the address itself was completely incorrectly as long as it has the correct zip code, it can still be delivered. Incidentally, a friend of mine also purchased 2 Buckinghams from Mark Brown and has not received any Buckinghams nor has Mark responded to any of her emails. I finally contacted the Tuscaloosa Police Department and was given Investigator Matt Wahrenburg to look at my case. If you would like more information regarding Mark Brown/Nancy Cummings please email me.

Email: tntak@acsalaska.net>

I just recently posted a complaints against Mark Brown on your website. His email address is SnowballBrown@aol.com. I don't even have a physical address for him but have a P.O. Box number which is P.O. Box 782,
Cottondale, Alabama 35453.

My transaction with Mark Brown began on Feb. 02, 2001. I purchased 2 Buckinghams from him from nobidding.com. On Feb 6th, I mailed my money order of $130.00 certified with return receipt. On Feb 25th I finally heard from Mark stating that he received my money order. Between Feb 6th and Feb 19th I would email Mark asking if he received my money. On Feb 20th I was able to find the phone number of where his p.o. box reside. I called that postal office, gave the certified number and asked if they have any record showing that it has been delivered. The postal officer told me that someone signed for it. I then emailed Mark on Feb 21st telling him that I was informed that the money I mailed to him have been delivered. It wasn't until Feb 25th that I get an email back telling me he received my payment and that he would mail the beanies Monday (Feb. 26th). I asked him for a tracking number but done was given. On Feb 27th, I received the return receipt, showing a Nancy Cummings' signature rather than Mark Brown. I have given Mark Brown many benefit of the doubts as I could not find any negative feedback on him. However when I received the return receipt showing the signature of Nancy Cummings, it left me very suspicious and when I checked your website for Nancy Cummings, boy was I ever surprise. I then emailed Mark asking why a Nancy Cummings signed the return receipt and he gave the explanation that when he went to his post officer after hours there was a slip there telling him he had a certified mail to be pick up and gave authorize to Nancy Cummings the next day to pick up the envelope before post office close. On March 2nd, I get an email from Mark that said the package he mailed to me on Feb 26th was return with "unable to deliver" and was at a lost and asked me to confirmed the address he had of me and would re-mail the package on March 5th. I responded to his request for my address confirmation on March 2nd and told him that everything was correct but the omission of "West" (my address is 3341 W. **Avenue), my name was spell correctly, City, State and Zip Code was also correct. Being that I sent a total of $130 and which Marks stated on his posting that the price included shipping, I offered to reimburse him for the extra charge for delivery confirmation. I got a response from Mark (March 2nd) telling me not to worry about it. On March 5th, I emailed Mark asking if he was able to re-mail the package. However, I have not received a response.

I have to say, in all this communications I was always the one to initiate the email. Today, I was able to catch the postman that delivers my mail to ask him if someone mailed a priority insured to me with a minor error on the address would it be sent back to the sender with "unable to deliver". His response was no, as long as it has a correct zip code they can deliver the package. This was also confirmed by the postal clerk where Mark Brown's P.O. Box reside.  I've done a little investigating myself and found out from one of the postal clerk there in Cottondale that this Nancy Cummings is a sister-in-law of Mark Brown and that she is a regular customer there. However that is all they can tell me. I have to say that when I emailed one of the person complaining about Nancy Cummings last week, wondering if the Nancy Cummings who signed my return receipt and the Nancy Cummings that everyone is complaining about was one and the same, I was still doubtful about Mark Brown's dishonestly. However, now that's not the case. I feel I have given Mark many chances and have been very patience and at time felt awful because here I am asking the status of my beanies and he is going though tornadoes and power outage (so he says). However, a friend of mine Carolyn Anderson is also going though the same thing with Mark Brown. She mailed her cashier's check on Feb 5th and have yet to receive her beanies.  Today, I felt I had to put the word out alerting people about Mark Brown/Nancy Cummings. I also spoke with the Tuscaloosa Police department today and put a complaint against Mark Brown, Investigator Matt Wahranburg was assign. I also emailed Mark Brown requesting a full refund and to have it post mark no later by March 9, 2001. Have not received any response yet. My questions is, is there anything else I can do? I have kept all emails between Mark Brown and myself. I don't have any other information of Mark such as phone number or his physical address. I do have the Cottondale postal office phone number. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
Leonisa Thompson

I purchased two Buckingham's for $130 from Mark Brown, PO Box 782, Cottondale, Alabama, 35453, on nobidding.com, 2/2/01. Out of curiosity I asked Mark where he purchased his Buckingshams from since he had eight for sale. He replied 2/4/01, "I purchase my Buckingshams from an authorized Ty retailer in the UK. His brother lives here in the United States and he works with me." I e-mailed Mark 2/06/01 that I had mailed the cashier's check 2/5/01 and for him to let me know when he received it and to let me know when the Buckingham's will be shipped. Mark responded 2/7/01 that he would let me know when the cashier's check arrived and that he would ship the Buckingham's the same day. I e-mailed Mark 02/12/01 to see if he had received the cashier's check. No response, so I e-mailed him again on 2/15/01 to see if he had mailed the Buckingham's as I had checked with my bank and they indicated the cashier's check was cashed on 2/13/01. Mark responded 2/16/01 that the Buckingham's were mailed to me yesterday morning and that it was a three-day delivery to my area. I received an e-mail from Mark 2/20/01 stating they would go out tomorrow, he wasn't able to ship on Thursday and they were due to go out Friday but due to storms they could not be mailed out. He apologized and stated again that "they are ready to go out first thing in the morning." Mark e-mailed 2/20/01, "PS.. he had got me confused with Mrs. Carolyn ****** from Sheffield, Ohio and he thought I was her." I e-mailed Mark 2/24/01 stating I haven't received the Buckingham's yet and did he mail as schedule?. "I told him I have done lots of trading/buying and that this transaction is taking too long and that I am starting to get suspicious. Please respond." Mark responded 2/25/01 that he would be mailing them to me and that he has numerous people that have purchased from him on nobidding that could verify they received their merchandise. I e-mailed back 2/25/01 requesting names and e-mail addresses of the people whom have purchased from him. On 2/27/01 Mark e-mailed me two positive e-mails from people who had purchased from him; Linda, dfw@citlink.net and Rita, rfbritt1@aol.com. I e-mailed Mark 3/2/01 that I hadn't received the Buckingham's and that I wasn't clear as to what day they were shipped and that I was starting to get bad feelings about this transaction. No response, so I e-mailed Mark 3/5/01 stating I haven't heard from you and if I don't receive the Buckingham's or my money by 3/10/01 I was going to contact Federal authorities. I stated, "I've been very patient and feel you have not held up your end of the transaction." In the meantime I requested a copy of the cashier's check. It is interesting that Mark Brown signed the check, as did Brad Harper. I e-mailed Mark 3/13/01 stating I hadn't heard from him since 2/25/01 nor had I received the Buckingham's or my money back. I mentioned I did not realize he was associated with Brad Harper and Nancy Cummings until I got a copy of the cashier's check and my friend Leonisa Thompson's returned receipt was signed by Nancy Cummings. I informed him I would be posting a complaint and that I have been in contact with the Tuscaloosa Police Dept. I requested a refund of $130 immediately. I have all e-mails and a copy of the cashier's check if needed. Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

This seller is clever because she seems to deliver some of the merchandise but not all. I dealt with her twice. The 1st time I was among the lucky and I received all. On the second ebay auction, my check was cashed but after many promises, no Chinooks were received. I have been in contact with all other winners on this dutch auction. At least 3 of us have received nothing. Nancy has been suspended from ebay but that does not mean she won't register under a different alias! Watch out for this Alabama trader! All this after she received almost 300 possitives and one of them in the past was from me!!!

I just want to let you know that I finally received my money order refund from Mark Brown on 3/14/01. His last email to me on 3/13/01 asking if I received the refund wasn't too pleasing as he accused me of numerous things such as slander on smartcollecting alert board, unfair treatment and receiving the Buckinghams. I find it offensive that he actually believe he has done nothing wrong. He even had the nerve to state on his email, "I have talked with a lawyer about the message you left on the traders board about me for no reason, which is slander and I am looking at my options now on what can be done about this !!!!! I am also talking with the postal inspector regarding the buckinghams that I mailed to you. I am showing that they were delivered and someone signed for them !!! YOU have been too hard to deal with from day one and I hope that you dont treat everyone the way you have me!"

I felt Mark's accusation did not warrant a rebuttal or response because his accusation can be easily disprove and quite frankly I welcome for him to talk to a lawyer or a postal inspector, they just might strongly advice him to perform his end of the transaction. Therefore, my only response to him out of courtesy was to let him know that I received the refund.I believe Mark Brown, Nancy Cummings and Brad Harper are connected in some way. I thank the Tuscaloosa police dept for assisting in getting my refund back and most of all the keepers of trader list/alert board. Because if it wasn't for this board, I would not be alerted to any fraudulent action of individuals.  Many thanks  Leonisa

Here is another Nancy Cummings rip-off story! I won Ebay auction number 533519661 on 01/02/2001 for a pre-sell of the I-Cybie interactive dog from Nancy Cummings with the promise of delivery in 30 days. I sent out payment in the amount of $138.51 in the form of a personal check which was deposited on 01/10/2001 and was endorsed by Nancy Cummings and her partner in crime Brad Harper. Obviously, I never received any merchandise. On 02/18/01 I sent an email to Nancy Cummings requesting an update as to the shipping status of my order and she replied that it would be shipping in 7-14 days. On 03/04/2001 I sent another email asking for an updated status and I got the infamous "blank email" reply. At this time I found this message board and I sent her an email demanding a full refund no later then 03/14/2001 and indicated that if I did not receive my money that I would take all legal remedies to have her prosecuted for fraud and theft. Nancy replied back immediately that she would send out my refund the next day via certified mail. Needless to say, I have not received my money back and I have not received any replies to my latest email letters to her demanding to know the certified mail receipt tracking number. Thus, I have filed my complaint with the IFCC today and I will be filing a mail fraud complaint with the USPS inspector and I will be contacting the Alabama attorney general's office and the local police department in Tuscaloosa, AL

Yet another complaint on Nancy Cummings/Brad Harper. I won a Germania Beanie Buddy from BeanieinBama on Ebay (Item #558406047) on February 16, 2001 and sent a check for $46.50 as soon as I received her address. In one of my initial e-mails to Nancy I told her that this was a birthday present for my daughter and need to have deliver by March 22, 2001. She claims that my check was received on February 28, 2001 and that Germania was shipped on March 9, 2001 after I notified that we had received our cancelled check back from the bank. Since I had not received anything by the 19th I wrote to her again and she replied that she would have to file an insurance claim with the postal service and would refund my money. I told her I had read her file here and would contact the postal inspectors on March 27, 2001 (one week from the date of the e-mail) if I had not received either my check or Germania. Since then I have not heard from her and am waiting to see if I do get satisfaction by the 27th. I did contact several of the other winners of the auction (Dutch Auction) and they received their merchandise, although they did mention long deliver times. We shall see. I'll keep you updated.  Bob Dalrymple

On Jan 23rd I found beanieinbama's auction for a Tan Inky w/o
a mouth that she guaranteed to be 100% authentic and mint. I emailed her and asked if she would agree to have it authenticated by Becky and True Blue Beans if I bid and won her auction. Nancy emailed back "... i don't mind sending them to have that done." On Jan 29th, I won the ebay auction #547350957 for this Tan Inky w/o a mouth. Nancy emailed me "congratulations" and payment instructions with her address. I emailed back that I did want to have him authenticated and enclosed a copy of her email agreeing to it. On Jan 30th she emailed back the costs of mailing Inky to be authenticated and the fees which she added to the cost of the beanie Inky. On Feb 2nd I mailed certified with a return receipt request, a postal money order for $52.95 (covering the authentication fees and shipping only), and a note explaining that once the authentication was done and he passed, I would pay the auction amount. I also asked her to email me when she got the money order. Feb 4th, I emailed Nancy letting her know the m/o was on the way. Feb 20th, I emailed Nancy asking how the authentication process was going and if she had any idea when she expected to get him back. She emailed me the same day that he had not come back yet, but she would email me as soon as he did.  Feb 28th, I emailed again telling her it seemed to be taking way too long considering I had paid for an expedited authentication. I asked her to track him and offered to contact Becky and see if she could help....
March 1st, I received an email telling me that she had already emailed me the first of the week that Inky was back and "ceritified authentic", and from the sound of my last email (Feb 28th) I had not gotten it. She asked that I confirm receipt of this email. I emailed her back that I had NOT gotten one the first of the week but attached her March 1st email. I asked for the authentication number, who authenticated it, and if it was rated, what the rating was. I tried again on March 5th... same info requested...On March 9th, I sent one more giving her until noon on March 12th to reply or I would consider the deal a bust and expect my funds for getting Inky authenticated to be refunded. Needless to say, I have not heard back. Around Feb 20th, I revisited the ebay feedback for beanieinbama and found a NEGATIVE post mentioning your site Traderlist.com I came here and found the extensive report on her less than professional dealings. It was because of this that I requested the authentication information rather than sending the auction amount. Thank you very much for being here. I have now made contact with Investigator Andy Wesson at the Tuscaloosa Police Dept and faxed the emails to him. I have filed form PS 8165 Mail Fraud Report with the post office. I am going to try to contact ebay... but since she is already removed as a seller there, and since the funds involved were for authentication rather than for the auction itself, I doubt that they will do anything. I know this is long but I wanted you to have the whole story. Feel free to edit as you feel necessary. Thanks for the instructions you have posted. If you have any other advice, I would love to have it. Thanks
Ann McBrayer

Not a complaint but an update to my post of March 22, 2001. We received a check in today's mail from Nancy for the full amount sent ($46.50). I haven't seen any of her checks not clearing on the list so hopefully this will end this transaction. Thanks for providing a forum where this information can be shared.   Bob Dalrymple

traders_name: Mark Brown Comments: Entered into an auction with him for a Chinook on Feb. 15. STill have not received my beanie nor the refund which he promised. Am getting emails only after threat of posting negative feedback. I will contact the officers in Albama about this fraudalent person. Amazing that he had positive feedback. He now chooses to ignore all emails. I have asked him to send my refund in the form of a money order which I'll probably never see considering all the feedback I am now seeing. He is bad news! Stay away from him.

I think that I have fallen foul of one of the people mentioned on your bad trader list, namely Nancy Cummings. I am not sure as what my next actions should be, as I am in the UK, but I hope you may be able to point me in the right direction. My case seems to mirror many of those outlined in her profile :

I purchased a dozen Red Nosed Roxie Beanie Babies from her in November from EBay. The item number was #486890041, and I sent her a money order for $223.39 via BidPay on the 7th November to cover the purchase and international shipping.

The items never turned up, and numerous E-mails were exchanged, each time stating that she had been to the Post Office, but no news, but guaranteed that they would be on their way. Towards the end of January, she suggested that they may have been sent by Surface mail, which could take ages to arrive. I agreed to wait until the end of February to see whether they turned up, and she said that she would send me a refund. I said that I would happily accept a replacement set instead of the refund, which she agreed to, and said that they were sent to me about a month ago. She always came across as very friendly, and seemingly helpful, so I never had any reason to doubt her.

About two weeks later, I emailed her saying that they still had not turned up, to which she replied that she would give me a refund. This struck me as a bit odd, considering that I had waited about 4 months for the original set, and here she was offering a refund after just 2 weeks. It was then that I came across your site, and to my horror noticed that she was on the bad trader list. I read the numerous postings about her and her partner, and began thinking that I had been a victim, given the similarities between my case, and the many other cases outlined.

I have still to receive my refund, which I have requested to be paid via PayPal, and she now appears to be ignoring my emails. I said that I would be contacting you if I received no money by 11th April, which is what I am now doing. I hope that you can help sort this out for me. Many thanks   Richard Tye

Have not received Ty Buckingham as promised from winning auction from Bidville in February of 2001 and making final payment in March of 2001. He emailed saying refund and Buckingham would be sent for all my troubles. Please do not bid on anything from this person, he will not follow through and has not followed though.

Just to let you know that I received a US Money Order this morning for $200 from Nancy. Assuming that I can cash it in the UK, I am happy to accept this as full and final settlement of this unhappy episode. Many thanks for your help in this matter, as I am sure that your involvement added weight to my cause.   Richard

Do you believe that I finally received my money today for 65.00 that I had emailed you on May 29th. I contacted Talley again today and I was starting to press charges as of Monday morning when they called me back, so I guess I don't have to go that route. I have posted two messages on the Bad Traders list though and one was that no money was still not received and one just now that says that i finally received my money. Thank you if you had anything to do with this and I hope that I will not be in this situation again. I will be more careful.   angela brinson

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE STILL WAITING ON AN I-CIBYE FROM FROM NANCY CUNNINGS ---PLEASE HELP..

In December of 2000, I was among the "lucky" reciepients of an auction of an I-Cybie Nancy Cunnings was a seller for on Ebay...Well, almost a full year later, i am still without the I-cybie eventhough she cashed my check in January of 2001 for $143.

As have so many others, i have countlessly emailed Nancy and heard tons of her excuses such as I am in the hospital, my daughter is ill, i am going to be on vacation for several weeks all along blaming everything on Tiger the manufacturer. Finaly, on November 12, 2001 Nancy claimed she send out the i-cybie. When I asked her for the tracking number in return I had recieved one of her now infomous emails that was 99% empty. And yet 28 days later NO I-CYBIE OR CHECK. Not to forget to mention, the poor Alabama post office being blamed for all the missing mail....
