I am writing to report that trader (CC1941) Caroll Colway, Allen St., Windsor, Ct. 06095 had agreed to make a trade with me on 9-14-98. I was to send her Mint Ears, Floppity, Hippity and Hoppity and she was to send me a Mint Erin. She received the bunnies. I never received Erin. She agreed and told me she had sent a second Erin, but never received him either. She is now ignoring or deleting my email messages. She had 8 or so good referrals or I would have never made the decision to trade with her in the first place. Evidentally, she was a good trader but decided it would be more profitable for her to start cheating to get the beanies she wants. I have been in touch with another person who was also scammed by her and she will be reporting her loss with you soon too.
Had a trade transaction agreed upon with Caroll starting 9/5/98 from TY
attics/pp/plush board. After not hearing from her, nor yet receiving my item
by 9/17, I emailed her to find out what was the hold up and if she had gotten
my items. No response. 9/2O "Oh yeah" she says. "I thought I emailed you
last week about them. Did you like my trade item?" I point out to her that
my email was meant to point out that I hadn't received yet. I asked if she
sent priority vs. snail mail. She says snail mail (I'm thinking why didn't
she reciprocate via priority?) So she says she'll check with the PO. 9/22
she says I should have it by now. I email her a "status check". No response.
9/28 she says I should have it by now...the PO says they'll check their "back
room". 9/29 she takes fault for not shipping "special" and offers me a return
or duplicate item. I ask for the duplicate and she says I should get it by
Mon. 10/5. No word from her since. She does not initiate contact. I'm the
one that's constantly after her. At first I felt like I was badgering her.
Have sought advice about what defines "scammer". I finally contacted ALL
of her references whom she passed over to me, only to find that they were
contacted a few days before by another aol member who is apparently having
problems with Caroll Colway. Many of her references will now not reference
for her. I am waiting to see if anyone else comes forward. In the meantime,
people should be wary of CC1941. All I really want from Caroll is 1)the item
I was promised in trade or 2)return of my trade
items.
Update: October 24, 1998
My emails to her still go unread and the 2 emails I sent her "niece" Marie
(Ollie2020) also remain unread. Last I hard form Nancy (RMORE N 1), her emails
haven't been read as well. After hearing from you, I had SOME glimmer of
hope, thinking this gal was probably expecting to hear from her Aunt's traders
SOON.
Update: November 8, 1998
Nothing received to date. She/they have still not read my last emails since
10/30. And NO details were ever frowarded about Caroll's condition AT ALL.

I am replying to this email for my aunt who is presently in the hospital. she had an accident a few weeks ago and is convellesing quite well. I will discuss this problem with my aunt as soon as possible. I am sure she would not intentionally cheat anyone. I will be visiting my aunt next week (I logged into her email from my own home which is several hundred miles away) and will work to resolve this.
