Comments: I recieved a low quality substitute for a pair of shoes i ordered. I called and talked to the "customer service" who seemed to be the same, one person each of the times i called and this person seemed to recognize me and my issue. I was assured i would receive a refund which i never recieved. Every time there was another excuse like - well have you checked your bank statement? Yes and i haven't received it. Oh okay well then your refund is coming.

Comments: In regards to the previous post about Ryebypost, I, too, have several orders placed back in late September, and I believe this is when they first started advertising them. I think I even paid less than $9.99 each.

Anyway, I have not gotten anything from them. They only respond and say they will honour all orders placed, and that they could have cancelled my order but they didn't. Well, still have heard nothing from them, nor any merchanidse. However, I don't see them advertising this UK trio anymore on their website.

Comments: Update **** On 9th October 2002 I ordered daffodil, rose and thistle from RyeByPost.com. It is approaching the 7th month since I placed my order and still no bears!!!

When I enquire about the bears, I am told that they cannot get hold of any of them. I believe that they "can't get hold of them" because my order was placed at £9.99 per bear, as we're my friends.

One friend purchased these bears from RyeByPost in December (after paying extra for them), when I asked about this I was told that they do not do that kind of thing!

7 months and all I want is the bl**dy bears.

Comments: After monitoring ebay sales of Ty beanies for the past few years, I thought I had seen just about every gimmick and scam possible. Then along comes something new. The latest scam is to post a picture of a royal blue peanut buddy (it helps if the picture is somewhat hazy and has nothing next to it for size comparison) and to call it a "royal blue buddy beanie baby" and to state that the tag says it is very rare and valuable. It seems that this is enough for those new collectors to think they are getting the royal blue beanie (not understanding about the buddy). Then when they receive a $10 buddy in the mail instead of the beanie, they realize their $150 payment was excessive and the seller refuses a refund because, after all, they sent exactly what was advertised and pictured on the auction.

People, the beanie tag could not possibly say it was rare, no one knew it would be rare when it was first made. The "rare" reference refers to the beanie but is written on the tag for the buddy -- which sells for about $10 and is anything but rare.

I check out all 3,161 of her posting and the negative feed back had a common thread, the complaints are about misleading information and she calls everyone a fake, scammer, etc. As I tried to tell BZ Mom, I felt the label of her auction was misleading. Kanata is Kanata & Peace is Peace! Be careful of BZ Mom.

Auction was CLEARLY labeled and has a CLEAR picture of bear, he just wanted to BLACKMAIL me for a 4.99 Canadian Exclusive. He complained to Squaretrader, they contacted me, and found I had done NOTHING WRONG. HE misread what was CLEARLY stated.He made a MISTAKE in what HE READ, getting nasty with me won't help his cause, trying to scam Beanies from honest sellers is CHILDISH! Proven fact is he is wrong, he has blocked my emails, Threatened me, Black Mailed me, and after all is said and done, he is STILL WRONG!READ what you bid on, LOOK at the pictures,ASK Questions BEFORE YOU BID!! He did NONE of these things, and still tries to blame me,SAD!

Comments: A Response to the attack from Lisa Smith. As I stated in my previous complaint about Lisa Smith(BZ-mom), she has once again come out and made unfounded and vicious attacks towards me. She has reverted to character by using name calling and misleading statements.

I have had numerous emails sent to me from across the country applauding my comments about Lisa Smith on how she attacks you with name calling and attacks about one's character. People who have done business with her have block her email and her ability to bid on items on their auctions. I had her emails block due to the same reasons of name calling and foul mouth.

I stated facts about Lisa Smith(BZ-mom. I research the feedback postings before I proceeded to the Traderlist to post a complaint. That information is public and is there for all to see. I wanted to use facts and not name calling or character attacks.

Lisa Smith mentions SqTrader, that issued is a mute point, I have decided to keep the item and and move on. It seems that Lisa Smith(BZ-mom) is the one who needs to cry foul. I was compelled that it was necessary to make public Lisa Smith's record on trading. We as traders have an obligation to inform the rest of the traders about about people like Lisa Smith(BZ-mom), with her misleading titles and character attacks. By using charater attacks that are unfounded she is very close to being libel & slanderous.

In closing all I tried to get accross to Lisa Smith(BZ-Mom) is the Kanata is not Peace, the two do not belong in the same title line. That is all to point I tried to make.

Comments: I traded 3 beanies with Diana for her Maple beanie. When I first received it I did not look too close at it. But then I did when I wanted to post it to sell it. This beanies face was mis shaped and was smaller than a normal beanie. I contacted her with my concerns that it make be fake. She indicated at first she bought it from someone on ebay. At first she didn't think it was fake but then came around to that she had her doubts about it to. She agreed to either send my beanies back to me or purchase them. Comments: This woman won an auction of mine for a cutting board and paid through paypal by electronic check. Being that I work 2 jobs I sent the item in good faith (I learned my lesson) before the check cleared. The check of course bounced. I then contacted her and she claimed she will make good on the deal. Of course payment was never received. Then after almost 2 weeks of waiting, I received an email stating that his supplier had cheated him and that HE was the victim. This is big time cheater who wrote a misleading ad . He even tried to confuse the issue by referencing an inaccurate item number that was not even relevant to my purchase. It seems the same tactic was used with many good intentioned buyers like myself. Comments: I won an XBox in an eBay auction by using the Buy Now option and have had no positive corespondence from this seller. I have recieved one e-mail and nothing else, needless to say, I never recieved my XBox. I spent $150.00US and the one e-mail I got back said that his supplier vanished after giving him bogus tracking numbers. Also, this e-mail gave an eBay item number that was in no way close to the one issued to me by eBay. That is what got me thinking. Thankfully some others had similar problems and found this site and passed this information on to others. I have contacted my local authorities, paypal, and eBay. Of course the local authorities said there is nothing they can do since it is out of state, but they are taking steps to contact authorities in the area that the message originated from. The IP is 12.248.50.163. That is the IP that sent the message to me stating that the seller in question was ripped off by his suppliers, who also apparently took off with my money that there is no way he could have already recieved and sent off due to a 3-7 day waiting period that PayPal has on recieving funds.

I want this matter to come to a close as quickly as possible. There is just too much information to not get justice. If I can get the IP, so can the authorities, and the authorities can get the address, and such from the ISP. This will be rectified.

Comments: I put a bid on a brand new xbox system that he had put up for bid on EBay. His reviews were in the 90 percent margin, so after I won the bid for 162.50 I payed him using paypal, however I have not received confirmaiton from him or anything that says he will ship it. On the contrary I have received excuses from him telling me and alot of others like me how he was ripped of by his supplier and he can't reimburse us for now, but he haas shown no proof of this, and his phone contact was a fake on ebay

Comments: Purchased an Xbox from this person and was supposed to get a tracking number the same day. Three days later was sent an email stating that his supplier gave him the wrong numbers. Received another email on Wed letting me know that he was scammed. Over 100 people have purchased an xbox or playstation and not ONE person has received a machine. Will not respond to emails and sends the same email out to everyone. BEWARE!!!

Comments: He sold over $100 PS2s and XBOXs with "Buy It Now Price" for $150 on Ebay. Stalled time for a few days saying that the systems were shipped, but he lost tracking numbers. Eventually, after saying that his supplier tricked him and took all his money without sending the systems, he just stopped responding to emails and canceled his account with Ebay. All those people, including me, lost at least $150 each.

He lied twice about sending me a refund. When he finally sent it mover two months later, it did not include shipping. Now he says if I tell him what he still owes me, he will send it. Even if he does, it was still a terrible transaction and I would never do business with him again, whether as King of Jersies or JerseyStore 2000.

However, after winning the auction, they shipped the World Release version (no English text on box as indicated) which I can buy locally for about $9US. After contacting them repeatedly, they only offered to refund $9.95US (I paid $18.95US) and they want me to pay the shipping back to them (another $6US). I'd only get back $3.95 out of my $18.95 paid. They refuse to admit fault or remedy the situation.

Comments: This lady bought a diamond bracelet from me. Her husband also purchased one at the same time. She originally didn't like the husband's gift. Now she decides she likes that one and wants to return mine, all sales were final. I decided to take the return until she got ugly and phoning me. Then told her I'd wait for ebay to decide. She called police, posted here, to the IFCC NFIC, and ebay. I offered her refund again in public discussion board and to return bracelet COD. Once jeweler bracelet was originally purchased from verified it was the bracelet I sold her, I would refund all money to include her shipping. I also attempted to refund her by paypal for $169.62. She refunded my refund. I find she has since sold the bracelet for $132 and is still trying to pursue a claim against me for fraud. She cannot do this as she no longer has custody of the bracelet. She is a harassing buyer, Beware.

YOu can go to her bad traders page to see her lies. she told Jacki she would refund bracelet and told her how to return it. Jacki spent $10 to return and sometime after it had already arrived at post office Kandi told Jackie she was not going to refund. So she refused package and it was sent back. She was placed on bad traders list because she said she would refund and waited until long after the package had been returned to change her mind. Jackie also never called her. She said she had proof of this and never provided it. She said she did not care if she was placed on bad traders list and she blocked our emails. When she actually got on the bad traders list her tune then changed and she has told so many lies since then. Comments: I agreed to purchase a TY 2003 Catalog from this person. Was described as mint in orignal box and the price was $22.00 shipped. I sent her a Cashiers check. When she reiceve it she said she could not cash it because she didn't have a checking account, so i told her to return it. Instead she emailed me that she had cashed it and had sent the box media rate. It took 15 days to get to me and it was only coming to texas from Tenn. It arrive in very bad condition, box crush and catalog with holes in the pages and as torn from the binding, as if crushed. I emial her and she told me to "send it back in the Oringal box" I said I would send it out Monday, this was a friday. And I did, then today she started with a bunch of nasty email and in the end said not only was she not going ot refund my money but wanted me to send her more money for postage to send the messed up catalog back to me again.

What can I do, has anyone had this sitution where it did work out?? or dealt with this person?

Comments: First off...This whole 'transaction' consumated with Steve SPAMMING me on ebay. He saw that I was selling UK flower bears,etc and asked me if I wanted to purchase some sets. After agreeing on a SHIPPED price (which I thought for SURE would be shipping insured via fedex or some carrier with tracking) we tried to make payment arrangements that would suit both parties. The guy wouldnt even give me an address or home ph number to reach him at but did finally give me a cell ph number. I checked his 400 feedback on ebay, his record was fine, and we finally agreed I would have somebody paypal him(as I WILL NOT do business with PAYPAL AGAIN). Bottom line is I NEVER received the bears....he has 480.00 of mine. He wont reply to emails or phone calls. Business that slow STeve?? Now that you want to try and salt this wound I will press forward with this transaction thru all avenues including several large dealers I do business with in England and your local authorities. Its a matter of principal now....I could really care less about the money...I make that much taking a nap.

I sent this man a number of UK Trio sets which I know were received. He then tried to claim that they were nevere received and insisted on a refund. The fact that he treats people as idiots is more insulting than actualy trying to steal the money. I will warn people about this man until he stops.

I wonder why he uses an anonymous E mail address when he is such "An honest guy" I also wonder why he is forced to use other peoples paypal account ?? Why does this man want to remain anonymous, do not deal with him. He tried, and failed to rip me off, he will try to do the same to you.

Gilsum man sentenced in one of largest internet auction frauds

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A Gilsum man has been sentenced to 6-1/2 years in federal prison in one of the largest internet auction fraud investigations by postal inspectors.

Jay Nelson, 35, pleaded guilty last July to mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and identity fraud in a case that involved more than 1,700 victims, the U.S. attorney’s office said Monday.

Nelson was charged with conducting on-line auctions on e-Bay and Yahoo auction websites, receiving payments from winning bidders,but failing to deliver any merchandise. The U.S. attorney’s office said he attempted to avoid detection by changing the merchandise he supposedly had for sale and creating hundreds of on-line identities,screen names and e-mail addresses.

In addition, he used fictitious identities for nonexistent previous buyers to establish a record of customer satisfaction, authorities said.

He was arrested in January 2001 and released on bail, but fled in February and was indicted on a charge of bail jumping.

While free, he bought and sold gold coins, and also used the names and credit card accounts of additional victims to make unauthorized purchases and to conduct more auction scams, authorities said.

In July 2001, an alert coin shop owner in Kissimmee, Fla., recognized Nelson’s photo on the Postal Inspection Service website after learning about the case from a radio talk show and an MCNBC article. He informed authorities, and when Nelson returned to the shop to sell gold coins, he was arrested.

He pleaded guilty last April to bail jumping and was sentenced to a year in prison. The latest sentence will be served in addition to his time already served.
