Comments: On August 6, 2007, after several emails with Diane Askew, I purchased a Nana Beanie from her. She seemed like a nice lady and had good FB on Ebay. At no time did she give me any reason to believe she was selling a counterfeit Nana. I told her I would have it authenticated. The beanie and tags did turn out to be a Counterfeit. I have asked her for a refund for the $300 minus shipping cost I paid, but she refused and says she will fight it if I take further actions. She may or may not have know it was counterfeit, but I need help getting my money returned.

Thank you Pat for all the help with this problem transaction! We are all very lucky to have everyone at Traderlist to help when problems arise, and they do happen to the best of us no matter how hard we try to be fair and honest collectors.

Comments: I thought i was the only one cheated by Richard Johnson (Ragstorichesfan@aol.com). Looks like he fooled a lot of people.

Few years ago, I found his e-mail on some site claiming that he have the whole collection of Rags to Riches tv show on tape. I was so happy as it is one of my fav show of all time and that it is quite rare and hard to find now. So I wrote to Richard, make a few arrangements and send about US$100 via telegraphic transfer as i live in Brunei. At first i waited for weeks (could be months), and still no sign of the tapes. I e-mailed him again and asked him where the tapes are. Then later on, maybe months later i received all the tapes, the whole collections. I was so happy. He seems like someone you can trust. He was also nice and friendly at first. He told me that he have the whole collection of Full House (8 seasons) on tape. So i am very interested in it and sent US$200. But until now, i never received the tapes. Not only i lost US$200 but everytime i e-mailed him he said that he already send the tapes or that they are lost in the mail. Up to now, his e-mailed is probably discontinued. Everytime i e-mailed him, it got send back. I dont know what else to do. I guess i just have to let it go. I'm glad that we have lots of old tv shows on dvd now. I am not going to buy or trade anything on the net anymore unless it is from a reliable source.
