I'm being defrauded by a seller on Ebay. I've tried contacting the seller
several times but I never get a response. The seller was offering items for
sale on Ebay that were buy it now with immediate payment required. I had
to pay for each item before I could win the item. That included shipping
for each item. I sent an email to the seller asking how I could combine shipping
because I wanted to buy three items. She told me to go ahead and pay for
each one through paypal and let her know when I made payment and she would
then refund the difference. Well I haven't received the refund of $10.90
that I'm owed. Shipping costs were supposed to be $6.95 for the first item
and $1.50 for each additional item.
This seller offers many of her auctions in this format. I think others should be warned of her scheme.
Here's the sellers pertinent information:

always said she would be getting them. I left her negative feedback on ebay,

February 5th, 7th and 10th. To date I am out $241!!

This is an update to my post of 2/17/2005. Since that time Barbara Pinto
(floridamommy324@aol.com) has contacted me with a delivery confirmation number.
I'm sorry to say that it was all a lie on her part. The tracking number she
gave me (0391 0451 6310 0002 2670) is an confirmation number. The only problem
is that whatever was in the package was delivered to someone in Richmond
CA. I live in Texas. Go figure. Here is what I got from the USPS website.
You entered 0391 0451 6310 0002 2670
Your item was processed and left our RICHMOND, CA facility on February 21, 2005. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.
Here is what happened earlier:
ENROUTE, February 20, 2005, 10:18 pm, RICHMOND, CA 94804
ENROUTE, February 15, 2005, 8:16 am, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32099
See, she's sneaky. She gave me a legitimate tracking number, the only problem is that it was not coming to me. People, please don't deal with her. I've heard from other people that have had bad dealings with her. She is not to be trusted. All of this for a $5 beanie. Can you believe it? I thought about just forgetting about, but you know what... its the principal. No one should be able to lie and steal from anyone, whether it's $5 or $500.

I ordered a shirt from Americana Couture on May 1, 2004. My credit card was
charged that day. Since that day, I have been given 2 tracking numbers (neither
of which were ever shown as going through the post office); been told that
another shipment was sent, but would be "re-shipped;" been promised two free
shirts; been told that my Discover card had been credited (my original charge
was on a Visa); and been told that a check has been mailed to me. I have
received nothing except lies from this company. I have exchanged emails with
Maryanne at least a dozen times, but no amount of pleading or reasoning would
get them to follow through and send me my order. The amount that they stole
from me is small--only $35.99, but I am incensed that they are still taking
orders on their web-site, tricking other unsuspecting customers into sending
them money for which they will receive nothing. It's very sad, but really
wanted the shirt (and then shirts) that I ordered and if they had only followed
through, I would have never complained about the long wait to any organization,
nor added my story to this board. I gave them every chance they asked for
but was disappointed each time, so finally I gave in. I have filed reports
with the Better Business Bureau, the Postal Inspector, the Internet Fraud
Complaint Center and the Federal Trade Commission.

On 1/26/2005 we won an auction on Addie's for Countdown 10,9,8 from
Barbara Pinto(Floridamommy324@aol.com) She may also use the e-mail of
littlemansmom@bellsouth.net. We paid via paypal on January 27, 2005. On February
4, 2005 we received the following e-mail from Barbara
"Hi my husband said the beaine came back to our house. I am away so I am not sure what address is on the box can you resend me the correct address. My husband prob wrote the right address but he writes worse than a doctor thanks Barbara"
We promptly re-sent our address to Barbara and the wait began. When we had not received the bear by 2/14/05, I contacted Barbara to find out the status. She jumped all over me and told me that I had never sent her our address when she asked for it on 2/4. I then forwarded the e-mail to her, proving that I had responded promptly. After several back and forth e-mails, she kept refering to a confirmation number. I questioned why she needed a confirmation number if, as she said, we had not responded to her request for an address. ???? I have not heard from her since then and she has not responded to the last two e-mails I have sent. I think she has absolutely no intention of mailing and hopes that I will drop it. I realize that $5 is not a lot of money, but it's the principal. It's really sad when you can't trust someone for a $5 bear.

I won an ebay auction (Item #5937531398) on Nov, 24, 2004 of Tammy Smith/Treasuresfromtammy, from Ocala, Florida, for a Pippo beanie baby, and as of today, Feb 17, 2005, I have not received the item or a refund. Payment of $16.40 was made thru Paypal on Nov. 26, 2004.
Last email I received was her was from 1/21/05, and she is no longer replying to my emails. I emailed her on Feb 12 requesting a reply and a refund if item was not shipped. I now notice she is suspended from Ebay. I also notice she used unfair selling methods, being she filled an auction (same item) won by another, a week after mine (feedback was left on this).
I have her address, as requested by me in November as I was planning to paying with a m.o. Her phone number was sent to me by ebay when requested, but another person who also has not received their item, tells me it has been disconnected.
At the time of the auction, her feedback was ok.. a few negative reply on shipping over 40 days... but she claimed to have filled hundreds and I would received mine....her reply on 1/21: "I have been able to ship over 650 of them so far. I am shipping as fast as they arrive, and I am sorry about the delay. If you would prefer a refund, please let me know. Please accept my apologies...." I replied I would wait.
I have left negative fb on ebay, have sent a complaint to ebay, and traderlist.
Because the auction ended over 45 days ago, paypal can not help
me.

I filed a complaint with you earlier about an Internet fraudster known as Adrian Tudose, and as a result many people have contacted me saying they have either been scammed by him, or were warned off trading with him after seeing my posting. So your site is clearly doing its job. (See posting Feb. 5, 2005)
I would like to add to the list of e-mail addresses he has been operating under, to help warn people off trading with him. He has used the following addresses:
EiBune@aol.com
EvBune@aol.com
Elecij@aol.com
LptSales@aol.com
deputada@aol.com
VBecali@aol.com
The contact details he generally gives to people have been consistent with many people who have contacted me about Adrian Tudose, and they are:
Name: ADRIAN TUDOSE
Address: Street Name: 1 Tei , Apartament 20C, Bloc 5, Sector 6
City: Bucharest
Country: Romania
Zip Code: 7000
Phone number: 00 40 723 001 036
One more thing - he is now using Western Union for payment, and is suggesting to buyers that they should transfer the money but not give him the MTCN code until they receive the goods. However despite this, he is STILL managing to get the money, so if you are reading this, please do not fall for this scam. I guess his local Western Union office are allowing him access to the funds with some proof of ID or suchlike.

Neil

Just to let anyone reading this site, I am a real customer!! I ordered
my shirt from Americana Couture on November 29th, 2004 for a Christmas gift.
Later that day I found this website and I was very disappointed, as well
as being mad at myself for not researching the company before I ordered.
So, although I really wanted the shirt, I watched the progress of the order,
keeping in mind the pattern described by others. Sure enough, everything
went exactly as described and I did not get the shirt but did get a lot of
excuses. I cancelled the order in January 2005 and alerted the credit card
company right away. Hopefully the company will not be successful in disputing
the charge back. I have significant documentation to back up my claim that
I did not get merchandise that I paid for by the advertised "Holiday delivery
guarantee" not did I ever get the ordered merchandise. You would think the
credit card companies would catch on!

I am very saddened to see Barb is doing to all of you, what she did
to me. Back in October she and I first met when she wanted to purchase a
Chinook and a second beanie. I packaged them up, and she told me the money
order was being sent immediately. Several weeks went by and nothing arrived..
so when I contacted her again, this time, she was gonna put a personal check
in the mail right away. She seemed sincere and I invited her to join us in
an exchange. She didnt mentioned the beanies and neither did I. Finally I
told her, you best stop payment on that check cause it never arrived and
should have long ago by this time.
It was never again brought up. I still have those two beanies packaged up.
I had to remove her from the exchange, and that angered her, to a point where
she now is stalking me. Shes sent dozens of emails and instant messages.
I keep blocking them and she keeps coming up with new ones. She even sent
me one, with club pogo in the subject line, to make me believe it was from
pogo games, so I would read it. That btw was from that paradise email shes
now using, saying its her sister in laws. I have had to report her to aol,
and continue to do so, with each and every email or instant message that
she sends now. I have all saved emails and addys, and will be more than happy
to send to show how she lies. I now have her also stalking me in pogo games,
where I will be in a private room, and she comes in anyway. Ive had to change
my password to keep her out. My next step is to file a report with my local
police. She needs to get a life and leave people alone who want NOTHING more
to do with her. Stay clear of this person, shes nothing but trouble.

collectors about counterfeits. Education is important when it comes to purchasing
the rare beanies and hopefully people will stop by and add their knowledge

The money order was sent to Yi Zhang (not sure of City - NY ?) NY 11354
I sent the money order in an 8.5 x 11 Priority Mail envelope on Dec. 30, 2004 with a delivery confirmation # of : 0302 1790 0000 7664 7879 I tracked the package with the money order in it on the internet www.usps.com & entered the tracking #. It is confirmed that the package was recv'd on Jan. 3, 2005
I contacted the post office to find out if the money order was cashed or not - they told me that I had to wait 30 days to find out, so I did. Here then to find out he cashed the money order on Jan. 25, 2005 - I yet have not recv'd the cell phone. I have tried to email this guy several times & he first gave me the excuse that he was in China for a month and phone the phone would be sent out that next day which was about 2 weeks ago. Still no phone/ refund & no futher response.
I have purchased a copy of the signed (cashed money order) from the post

My dealings with Americana Couture seems to be a carbon copy of all of the
above....almost...
In the fall of 2003 i ordered a T shirt from Americana Couture as a Christmas gift for my daughter. After a few weeks i e-mailed A.C. stating that i hadn't yet received my order. They replied that UPS never picked up the order at the warehouse and she would put it in the system again...weeks later still nothing..i e-mailed again, which started the well known excuses about UPS workers stealing hundreds of orders etc. i kept e-mailing through the new year and getting all the typical excuses and the promise of a free shirt. i never gave up complaining. Finally in March of 2004 i did receive my order and the free shirt was enclosed. SURPRISED? i was too...i really loved the shirts and now believed all the reasons the Chisholms had given me for the past delays. i thought ..this could never happen again... So, i put in another order in April 2004 and so did my daughter as a gift for me this time. Well, it did happen again. All the same promises and lies started all over again. but this time nothing has come in ten months time and i know now it never will.
this is the last of 24 e-mails i received from Americana Couture starting on April 24th 2004 ending Feb. 7, 2005:
"Hi Brenda
We have filed a lost package form and hope to have either a rejected shipment
notice or confirmation of final delivery this week. Will you please keep
me advised if something happens on your end?

Beware!! She is a BAD Trader/Buyer. She makes deals and does not follow through,
she has mainly agreed to trades with traders and then leaves them hanging
so I have learned to late for me.
We got a really bad ice and snow storm here and because I was expecting that
payment any day, I went a head and mailed the bear to her, in case I couldn't
get to the post office. I didn't want her to think I was stiffing her so
to speak, if I couldn't get out. Little did I know she was stiffing me.
She received the bear.
Note from mediator..this is a long story, but to condense, the buyer said
the payment was sent three times, and it was never received. PayPal has said
the funds may clear by Feb. 16. An update will be posted if that
happens.

Subject: Charlotte Reed
Email: creed@frontierner.net
On November 4, 2004, Charlotte Reed (creed@frontiernet.net) charged
three ebay auctions she won from me through Paypal. I left positive feedback
for her the day she paid. I mailed the bears to her and kept Delivery
Confirmation proof, which the post office confirms. Although she never
acknowledged receipt of the bears through return feedback, or communicated
in any way, I assumed she was simply rude. As it turned out she was a calculating
thief. In mid-January (72 days later), without ever contacting me, Paypal
informed me that she had suddenly reversed charges through her credit card
company. Paypal assessed a $10 fine to my account for a negative balance,
while Charlotte Reed kept my three bears. She does not respond to emails.
Here's the note from Paypal:
As you know, we were working on your behalf to dispute the reversal of the following transaction:
Buyer Name: Charlotte Reed
Buyer Email: creed1@frontiernet.net
Case ID: PP-062-960-404
Amount: -$39.94 USD
Transaction Date: Nov. 4, 2004
Transaction ID: 9TV84769KS2727225
We are writing to let you know that despite our best efforts we were unable to recover the disputed funds. We encourage you to contact the buyer directly to attempt to resolve this matter or recover your merchandise.

I have been scammed by a Romanian guy called Adrian Tudose, in Bucharest,
who has been posting advertisements for digital cameras and also cell phones
on Amazon and other online selling sites/forums. He arranges payment by
International MoneyGram, and once he has the funds, you won't hear from him
again. He used the email address deputada@aol.com, but this no longer works.
Do not trust this guy!

Subject: Ty Prototypes
Dear Traders:
Since 1997, I have been in the beanie business finding and selling the best
beanie babies for the collectors. I enjoy the joy that Ty beanie babies bring
to each collector. There is also great joy in the people that sell them for
whatever reason, they all need money for their families or even for medical
reasons. Since these people want their identities kept private, at all times,
I honor their request.
Recently, there was a post on Ty Talk purportedly from Ty Warner. What I'm hearing is that he is not even in town and doesn't even know about all the hoopla. Once he returns and hears what went on, this guy (the poster) will be possibly reprimanded. But until he returns and clears the air, let me just say that these prototypes were obtained legally and that the authenticators authenticated them as real. We have to be able to trust our sellers and our authenticators.
In all the time I've been in business, I've only sold genuine Ty products. I pay to have all beanies (with a value of $100 or more) authenticated so that collectors know up-front that the beanies are the real deal. And my sources are legitimate people.
Ty has given away prototypes for years. Take a look at beanie books and you will see pictures of prototypes. Ty, Inc. allowed that book to be published and never questioned about the whereabouts of his prototypes. That's because they are all obtained legally. In the same vein, sellers have been selling prototypes for years with no questions from the Ty Company. Not even now! No one has received any official notification from Ty, Inc.. No auctions have been cancelled! At the time of the post on Ty's website, I personally choose to temporarily cancel mine auctions until I further investigated and found that it is a disgruntled jealous person.
So rest assured that the sellers and authenticators involved in selling prototypes are all very reputable and would never put anything in the market that would hurt or jeopardize the intregrity of collecting Ty products.
Most sincerely,
Phyllis

Where do I start?
I was reading this article and it could have been me that wrote it. I am so frustrated at this point I will do anything to help. Just some facts. I have all emails to back this stuff up. Original order February 13, 2004 Many excuses months later as to why I didn't receive my merchandise. Something about unforeseen circumstances, etc.
Well, I was patient to a point. Was given another delivery date. I was unable to ever track the USPS number. Promised many delivery dates.
At one point was told that credit was put back on my card. It wasn't.
Maryanne herself said that she was sorry for the inconvenience and combined my orders into one. Never received those items. The combined order was November 17th. She said that I would have the shirts before Christmas. Emails sent to them were for the most part never answered. The website link to check status didn't work.
No one ever answers the phone. The standard email reply is that they will reply within 72 hours but no one doesn't. I really thought that this was a joke. I was also given 2 free t-shirts for the inconvenience but of course have never received a thing. I threatenend to call Consumer Affairs.
I was sent an email saying that anyone who threatens their company they will no longer do business with and they will show consumer's the receipt of my refund. I asked for proof of my refund and no answer back once again.
Help!
I didn't think that I was the only one in this.
Regards,
Annette Roman

Subject: Ty Prototypes
As to the prototypes I am selling on ebay, they came from VERY reputable
people who at one time were working close to Ty Warner. The many people who
own prototypes (Ex employees, current employees, friends, family, etc) have
all been fortunate to receive these rare Beanies. Once given as a gift, Ty
no longer has the right to tell them what they can or cannot do with their
Beanies.
The rumors that are floating around on the TY CHAT BOARDS about the prototypes I am selling being counterfeit or stolen, are ridiculous. Ive spent many years working hard to keep my 100% positive feedback. I would NEVER EVER risk my reputation.
Also, people need to lay off the authenticators. It is their job to make sure that an item is an authentic Ty product and nothing more. It is NOT their responsibility to notify Ty Inc. every time a Beanie comes in for authentication. Prototypes are not difficult to determine the authenticity on, if you know the product, and have studied and documented them for years, as the authenticators have.
Thank you, Steve Cohen Pacmanbeanies Inc.

Known bad trader with a page here on Traderlist is again selling on
eBay. User ID is sarahk1124. This is Darren Burley associated with or using
the name of others. They are back to selling counterfeit items. Last spring
they sold over 25 counterfeit Traps, Orange Diggers, Royal Blue Peanuts and
Libeartys with this ID. Now the listings are for a fake Royal Blue Peanut
and a Sting. The Peanut has a 1993 copyright date on the tush which means
it's definitely fake. This counterfeit seller from Barrie Ontario Canada
has a long history of selling fakes under several different IDs and email
addresses. Check his bad trader page. sarahk1124 is definitely a seller to
avoid.

Subject: www.inndulgecancun.com
I would like to report a fraudulent internet sight that is selling
reservations to an imaginary vacation resort in near Cancun, Mexico. Five
friends of mine and I wired almost $4000 to the resort promoters prior to
flying to Cancun. The promoters were supposed to pick us up at the airport
but were not there when we arrived. After finding our own transportation
to Isla Majures, and island off Cancun, none of the local businesses had
ever heard of the resort. We eventually wondered into a real estate agency
and spoke with someone who knew that our resort was a scam.
The imaginary resort is named Inndulge Cancun Mexico, and the web site is www.inndulgecancun.com. Any help would be appreciated.
