Comments: This woman is being completely untruthful~~I do not even know her phone number, how could I possible list her phone number? I did list her name when I left a follow up and that is why ebay removed the comment. I refuse to waste anymore energy or time on Shannon Topel--she is telling the truth about TWO things... and TWO things ONLY, I DID say she needed medication and I did call her a psycho after receiving numerous harrassing emails, (my apologies--I do not normally call people psychos)-- I left Shannon POSITIVE feedback--check for yourself. This woman has a rage problem, she was irate that I said her shipping was slow and it was S-L-O-W to me. I bought several outfits AFTER I bought hers and hers was the last I received. SHe is not being honest about her shipping time, but it is okay, I have learned a valuable lesson from Mrs. Topel and she has inspired me to write an article on Internet Stalkers as well,(of course your name won't be mentioned Shannon) so for that I owe her a huge thank you. I am very careful about who I buy from now. I have never done any of the things Mrs. Topel has accused me of, my only fault was in purchasing something from an obvious nut. With just a little searching I could have known about Shannon Topel and her history--all it takes is a quick search using her name and that says it all. Shannon Topel threatened not only me, but she threatened to hurt my husband's career. Why would someone have to use a dozen different names on ebay? I am unsure--but Shannon knows. One of the names is venomus---- (I will not reveal the rest, since that might be violating her privacy). And the only reason that Shannon Topel knows where I live is because she asked me in one of her emails and I responded. Please do contact the Dothan police department and you will find that I have NEVER had any complaints about me---I can't help but to wonder what I'd find out about Mrs. Topel since she told me (herself) that she had to go to court over an ebay transaction before. Anyway Shannon, I hope that you do get the help you need and some peace too. Good day.

Comments: eBay seller beanie2549 continues to list auctions for Buckingham Beanie. He has already amassed negatives for selling FAKES. If you have bought one from him, you need to get your Buckingham authenticated immediately. If the authenticator says your Buckingham Beanie bought from beanie2549 is fake, please notify the appropriate authorities. We need to get this stopped! He should not be allowed to list auctions with fake Buckinghams to sell. And if you notify him that your Buckingham Beanie cannot be authenticated because it is a fake, DO NOT SEND IT BACK TO HIM FOR A REFUND! All he will do is relist it and sell it again to another unsuspecting person.

Comments: I was just suspended by ebay after being a seller for 5 years.. All i did was notify uninformed sellers which were listing items for $10-25-50-200.00 amounts which are charged double listing fee's. Had they took one penny off these prices the fee would not have doubled. Surely Ebay wouldn't tell'em. 2 1/2 million listings on Ebay and 40% are getting hit with double listing fee's because ebay hides the fee's so well... I wanted to contact all the sellers on ebay but now am totally blocked. a couple idiots which couldn't figure out what i was trying to tell them considered me a spammer i suppose.. anyone know how to get the word out and get ebay back to the 40% less profit - where they should be? thanks.

The item never arrived, the phone # is disconnected and the web site is gone. This person is still selling items on EBAY and actually has a threat stating "**Danger: Malicious feedback will be dealt with by our attorney.".

Naturally, their feedback is private.

Don't shop here!!! Search hard enough and you will find only negative information about this company. I certainly hope that this is malicious enough as I, personally, would love to hear from their attorneys.

Comments: This is an update since apparently my $176 loss is not enough for anyone to take this guy seriously. I emailed Edward many times, no response. I tried calling his house, no answer. I had a 'friend' who distantly knows Edward try to help......my 'friend' seems to have dropped off the face of the earth too. I emailed the traders list with my complaint and begged for help. They tried to contact him once, no response, nothing they can do. I filed a complaint with the US Postal Inspection Service, they tried to contact him once, no response, nothing they can do. I have looked for help everywhere that I was supposed to, but apparently these criminals have to actually respond to emails for anyone to get results. What is the likelyhood of that???

Be careful people.........know who you are trading with first. This is the 3rd time that I personally have been scammed (guess I am too trusting) and I have not gotten my money back on any one of the 3 of them. I cannot seem to find any justice and the people that have ripped me off are never punished or held accountable. Don't trade with EDWARD under ANY circumstances......you will never see your beanies. I learned the hard way.

I still have not received.

I filed with square trade, he closed that. I filed fruad with e-bay. He is still selling the same bears i ordered and getting feedbackon items he should have sent to me. I can't understand why he has not been closed. HE MUST BE STOPPED, WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?
THANK YOU

there are honest traders, and one of them sent me this site today. It seems that this seller (2000gifts) has had stores on e-bay before and when he gets kicked off he just opens another store. I have tryed to be as understanding as I can, but I am new to e-bay, the year I have been trading, this is the first problem I have had with a bad seller.

Comments: We thought we would alert all to be careful when dealing with Mark Shaw from the UK.

He committed to purchasing 4 items from us which we went out of our way to get for him. When asking Mark for a deposit, he claimed it would not be necessary as he would definitely complete the transaction. He said we could check his EBAY feedback, which looked good. Two weeks before the event (where the item would be available was to occur) we checked with him and he said that the purchase was definite.

We email-ed several times to say we had the items, and received no response. Finally we received an email from his "wife Melissa" saying he would not complete transaction.

Now we see him bidding on the same item on EBAY. In the meantime we still have the items that he asked us to obtain for him. We have emailed him and have only received nasty response, stating that the transaction is off. When trying to resolve the situation, he constantly threatens "harassment".

We would suggest that you either get this party to pay up front or receive a non-refundable deposit.

Comments: won my auction on august 7th. paid for my auction win with money order and it was sent right away. email the seller on the 26th of august. they said they received payment over a week ago but forgot to put my items in the mail because of how busy they are. but told me that they where going to do so that night, again that was august 26th. then i emailed him september 9th and he stated that it should be here soon and that he would forward me the shipping record. well when i emailed them later on sept 20th he stated that it just went out sept 19th. i did pay for insurnace and all, but when i asked about my tracking number and such, he never once answersed with it. well i wait a bit and then i email him some more with no response at all. so i go through square trade and after a couple of messages through them he replies and gives me a customs number (but still no scan of the shipping reciept) and thats no help at all. still later i email again and he goes on about how its a delay with the customs and such. but he states he shipped it with airmail and it shouldn't be much longer. well much longer has past and still nothing. he is now checking things out on his end even though he wrote in squaretrade that he was going to do that right away on sept 26th. i don't beleive this guy for a moment. he has never forward me the shipping info even though he said he was going to more then once. i am also a seller and ship to the states quite a bit so i know the shipping rate quite well. he charged me $20 for six figures that should only cost $11 at the most plus i did pay for insurance which is only $2. so its easy to see i extra bucks to make sure this arrived to me, but i have received nothing but empty promisses. hope i can get some help here. thanks

Comments: Ordered several beanies on pre-sell. They were to have been shipped 30-days from the last auction date. I was told that they would be shipped by 9-4-03 or earlier. Then that they would be shipped on 9-15-03. On 9-29-03, it was another message. I filed a fraud complaint against this seller as my instinct told me that I might how receive my merchandise at all. I finally received my merchandise 62 days after I won the final auction.

He wrote me a very abusive email today, and even threatened me to get the fraud report removed. I don't take highly to threats - Powerseller or not. I did look up his feedback and saw that he had 229 negative and 327 neutrals. Many of those left recently. I don't like this seller, and he's verbally abusive to any complaints he receives. His ID on eBay is: 2000gifts. Buyer Beware of this seller.

It is the same address I have been using so I KNOW it is correct. I get mail all the time. So, she wanted to refund me .30 for the coupons, but NOT the postage. I said no. It isn't my fault if she sent the coupons to the wrong address, IF she even sent them at all. So, then, I said if she wasn't going to refund all of my money, then I would report her to paypal. Comments: This seller, THEDRUNKENSAILOR, covered up what apparently was a fraudulent intent to sell five counterfeit beanies with a humorous listing on eBay. He went to great lengths to claim he knew nothing about beanies which he called everything but beanies. He had 500 positive feedback, a very believable ME page, and had been selling for several years without receiving even a retaliatory negative. I notified eBay of the "authenticity disclaimer" rule infraction but for some unknown reason (I suggest carelessness) eBay let the listing stand. I took a chance and bid based on his above-mentioned perfect fb and ME page. His contact info also checked out. Many if not most of the internet auction scammers use false contact informaton.

I contacted thedrunkensailor after examining the beanies to let him know he had sold me some counterfeits and asked for a refund. His response was to tell me, in essence, that it was my fault I received fakes, and he threatened that he would consider it harassment if I were to contact him again.

Peggy G. said the three beanies sent to her from the five hard-to-finds are "very bad counterfeit versions." That was obvious to me before I sent them to her for the proof positive needed to file fraud reports/claims. My cash outlay is $918.10 plus the authentication fee.

I resent the message on Monday, 9-22-03, and again on Wednesday, 9-24-03 - and still no return of the messages or payment. On Tuesday, 9-30-03 I again sent an e-mail and attached Darlene's first note to me requesting my paypal information. I finally resorted to forwarding the e-mails to MetaExchange on 9-30-03 requesting their help with this transaction, and received a copy of the e-mail they sent to her. Finally, on 10-6-03 after no response from Darlene, I contacted Meta for a refund of my transaction fees. I believe since the price on the True bears had been falling, she just decided not to follow thru with the transaction. Thanks.

Response from dthomas199@aol.com

As far as I know, after I sent the initial email to ask the total shipped price, I never heard from her. I was going to contact Meta myself and have them cancel this since I didn't get a response but got busy and didn't think any more about it. I don't think after 1000 deals on meta and perfect feedback on ebay that a small purchase like this wouldn't be something I would choose to ignore. I looked back through my email and I just don't see an email from them. I get a lot of junk emails but I would not have ignored that many emails asking me for a $30 payment. Her email address on meta is different than the one she sent you.

Comments: Man, this latest BAD TRADER so dissapointed me big time! He seemed very nice and considerate...Here's how the story goes:

I was looking for the Very Hard to find and Out of Print movie "The B.R.A.T. Patrol" starring Sean Astin (a Disney Sunday night movie classic) This guy has a site (Spoof site...no e-mail address on any of the pages...I realised this waaay afterwards..contacted him through the message board he advertises)on the internet with tons of Disney movies that are hard to get and he claims he basically inherited the collection from relatives. The guy advertises on a Disney message board and tons of other boards that he's got Disney movies to trade...

We make a trade, 1 movie for 1 movie (thank god it wasn't any more than that) I send to him first because I contacted him first.

Never received the movie for his end of the trade....this was back in August 12 2003 til now..I contacted him a again (in September) and he claims that he's already sent it off...the usual "it may be lost"...I have proof with my receipt that I sent him my half of the trade...he hasnt' sent me any proof or anything, so he says he'll send out another one....

How many times can the Package get lost? Don't get me wrong I am not an impatient person...but since August and I sent him his stuff First Class mail and he got it telling me how great the movie is.

I do a check online to see if his name came up in any "BAD TRADERS Alert" (I didn't do this before because I didn't know you can do a check online..this is just my second trade with someone) and low and behold his name shows up as a "BIG TIME BAD TRADER" The link with this information has it seems been deleted by the administrator of this particular message board he claims he only wants it to be for good traders now...that helps doesn't it? Here it is anyways, you'll notice in the link code the address of his e-mail is in there so I am not lying.

I don't know if there is any real crime in someone not sending something that didn't involve any money or merchandise, but I am sure there is a violation/fraud with having a "Spoof" site and deliberatly luring people in with a collection that doesn't exist so that he can build his collection and jip others unfairingly. I have since purchased the official movie "The B.R.A.T Patrol" from across seas and won't be interested in this bogus trader anymore, so he can keep his fake collection...he probably never had the movie in the first place. I am here just to warn other folks not to trade with this dude, and hopefully they can pass on the word and not get the "No Vaseline" if you know what I mean.

Thank goodness for sites such as this one, I am glad a few serious collectors decide to take matters into their own hands and make a difference....YES we can make a difference!

Comments: I purchased 6 pre-sales on 8/8/03 from 2000gifts off of e-bay, he is located in NY, at the end of 30 days promised in the auction I tried to check in with the seller. He would not respond to my e-mails or my phone calls from CA to NY, which by the way were numerous. I finally filed a case with Square Trade and he closed the cases and I received a computed generated e-mail stating that my $150.00 worth of beanies were shipped on 9/15/03. On 10/3/03 there were still not here and all my attempts to contact the seller were to no avail. I was lucky enough to be within the 60 day deadline to file a Fraud Complaint with e-bay and re-filed all the auctions with SquareTrade when I realized that I could really have a prolblem here. I finally received the following responses that I will copy and paste that proved that he had never even sent my beanies even though he sent me e-mail stating he did:

E-MAIL #1

Keep been silly. People who insist on been total idiots get their items last.

In a message dated 10/3/2003 5:19:46 AM Eastern Standard Time, Cant8nkerous@msn.com writes:

I will be filing SquareTrade on the remaining 5 auctions tomorrow unless I hear from you with some good reason as to why I should not. I have been VERY PATIENT, and my patience has run short. I am sick of your form letters that do not address the problem at hand and we either need these beanies or a refund. You say you shipped on 9/15 well something is wrong with this picture. I will be checking my e-mail in the afternoon and I will be filing the remaining SquareTrade cases at that time if there is no word from you and a generic form letter will not cut it.
Sincerely,
Barbara

E-MAIL #2

And I'm sick of all the garbage you keep e-mailing us. The time I'm wasting reading all this garbage I could ship somebody else's order.

In a message dated 10/3/2003 5:14:08 AM Eastern Standard Time, cant8nkerous@msn.com writes:

Ms. Bowen

After all of this, filing two Fraud Complaints with e-bay and mor Square Trade complaint he finally decided to send my auction winnings after calling me an idiot, etc, being verbally abusive. All of my e-mail were professional and polite. At the end he sent me and e-mail telling me that he hopes that when I get my beanies that I go out into the street and do jumping jacks and get hit by a big bus. It was not until I e-mailed him back and informed him that I am in my 4th month of a 48 week chemotherapy treatment fighting for my life for my 13 year old son so he can still have a mother that he realized how much of a jerk he was and apologized and agreed with me that the bus should hit him. This man needs Customer Service seminars as well as seminars on how to run a business. I HIGHLY ADVISE STAYING AWAY FROM HIS AUCTIONS, THEY CAN BE NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW QUICKLY YOU SEND YOUR PAYMENT, HOW POLITE YOU ARE, HE WILL STILL BE VEREBALLY ABUSIVE TO YOU, LIE ABOUT YOUR AUCTIONS BEING SHIPPED, AND MAKE YOU GO THROUGH HAVING FILE WITH SQUARE TRADE AND E-BAY FRAUD BEFORE YOU CAN GET A RESPONSE. LIKE I SAID HE EVEN TOLD A 38 YEAR OLD SINGLE MOTHER FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE THAT HE HOPES SHE GETS HIT BY A BUS, HE DID APOLOGIZE, BUT THAT WAS TOO LATE. BUYER PLEASE BEWARE. TRADERLIST PLEASE POST THIS IS ALL TRUE AND THE E-MAILS THAT I POSTED ARE ALSO EVIDENCE THAT I POSTED IN MY FRAUD AND SQUARE TRADE CASES. THE EXTRA STRESS AND FATIGUE OVER A SIMPLE AUCTION HAS HAD NEGATIVE RESULTS IN MY IN MY LIFE AND FOR MY TREATMENT. STILL WAITING IN CALIFORNIA HOPING HE ACTUALLY SENT MY AUCTION WINNINGS.
SINCERELY,
BARBARBA

Here is his latest grouping of feedback he leaves for all his customers:

Comments: This person is selling pre sales that in the ad says if not shipped in 30's you can request a refund. But when you request the refund he doesn't answer your emails. Don't buy from him. He has alot of good feed back but take note of the complaints. Ebay tells you three neg feedbacks and your done but this person keeps taking peoples money and not sending the product. Then when you leave neg feed back for him he makes it look like its all the buyers fault. Then the buyers can't respond to anything about him. There have been several people that he has taken money from but they never receive the product or money again.

I sent him 364. for a wholesale order of 12 lined silk panels, silk yardage and pillowcovers. He sent 12 unlined panels and nothing else. He refunded an amount representing the difference in price of unlined and lined panels. At first he was apologetic. He promised to complete the order, and then to send a refund for the omitted items. Later, he became belligerent in an e-mail and claimed not to owe me anything. I have never received the fabric or the pillowcovers ora refund for them. He will not answer e-mails. I have been respectful and patient in all my dealings with him but to no avail.

Dear Friends,

As many of you are aware, Peggy G has gone through some very tough days recently. Traderlist can relate since it happened to us as well last year when the Spam emails were being circulated.

To add to the problem, there are some who do not understand Peggy's approach to authentication. She has asked me to post the following message to help you to understand.

"Dear Pat

Yes you can post on Ty's site and your site that I do not encourage or support anyone that alters any Beanie or Ty Product, nor would I authenticate anything that I could confirm, i.e., thread has been removed, fabric is damaged, etc., that someone had altered. I have rejected many submissions of Beanies that is evident on the fabric that it had been altered because the fabric has been damaged. There is evidence that stitching has been removed or flags have been removed and repositioned, etc. Many of the buttoned Beanies have been rejected because of evidence that the buttons have been dented or scratched in turning them over or replacing them. The absence of such evidence means that I cannot be 100% sure if it was released by the Ty Company or altered. I do not write "Oddity" or "Manufacture Error" on the certificates when I am not certain if it was released that way! I always write on the certificates when an old retired Ty plush or retired Attic Treasure or Beanie Baby bear has had a ribbon replaced or added! I NEVER write on the certificate "ODDITY." However the plush animal/toy is authentic with authentic tags. If the ty product is authentic and the ty heart tag is a counterfeit I will not authenticate the item.

Please be aware there are many competitive dealers and competitive authenticators.

BUYER BEWARE Please read what I have written on the certificates!

Thanks to Pat Edgerten, Janie Daniels and all the wonderful and supportive Beanie friends for helping with the email Spam problems. ^i^

Sincerely,
Peggy Gallagher"

A new SPAM email concerning a virus being sent by Peggy Gallagher is under investigation. Peggy is NOT sending any viruses. The sender of the SPAM needs to be aware that sending this kind of spam is subject to prosecution.  The emails can be traced by a computer forensic expert, and this will be done. A Canadian bad trader was convicted and sent to jail for sending similar mail concerning Traderlist.

Message from Mediator, Pat

A new message supposedly from eBay is being sent. The text of the message says:

"
We are committed to improving your experience at eBay. Throughout the last year, we have been concentrating on expanding our services and attracting more users. Based on some questions and ambiguity surrounding some of our policies and the integration of numerous new services on the site, we decided to update the User Agreement. This Agreement clarifies and improves your rights and responsibilities while using our services.

To review and agree with our new policy please login and visit http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/png-user.html

THIS IS A SPOOF TO GET YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION. IT HAS NOT BEEN SENT BY EBAY. DO NOT LOG INTO THAT SITE. EBAY IS INVESTIGATING.

Additional Information from Peggy Gallagher:

If a RARE colored bear has the wrong ribbon but the Beanie and tags are authentic then I STATE on the certificate the ribbon has been changed!!!!!! As long as the Beanie/ Attic Treasures, Ty Plush and any other Ty product and tags are authentic they will be authenticated!

I cannot be 100% sure that the Beanies button or tags have been altered!!!!!!! There are many Beanies, Attic Treasures and Ty Plush that are released from the manufacturing plant incorrectly!!!!! (including wrong ty heart tags and tush tags)They are still an authentic TY piece!!! Furthermore, I never write on a Certificate that it is an ODDITY unless it is a true ODDITY!!!!!

Attention

Someone is sending out a false email that is accusing Peggy Gallagher of selling email addresses to e-mail spammers..

This is untrue, Peggy WILL NEVER GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO ANYONE.

From Peggy,
"Thanks to all our helpful and loyal friends for bringing this to our attention. We are investigating the source of the false information."

*Note from Mediator, Pat

Many of you will recall that this also happened to Traderlist last year. The person who sent the spam was arrested for doing so, and has recently been released from jail.
It is illegal to send Spam, and Defamation of Character is also a crime. Offenders will be prosecuted.
