I wanted some help with a bad seller. I think it's hopeless, but I've never had this happen before in the 3+ years I've been trading/buying/selling on the internet so I am not sure what to do next. I feel like such a fool! It was my first transaction on MetaExchange so when I was matched with her I just assumed she was legit without asking for references and additional info. I was matched with her on 7/18/00 to purchase a Sakura Beanie Baby from her for the price of $65 + $3.20 shipping. She emailed me immediately after I got the notification and I sent her a PayPal payment of $68.20. She then said she'd be shipping my beanie out immediately. The next day, I received a warning from Metaexchange stating that her contact info was false and her account had been suspended. I have emailed her several times, even asked her to please send my payment back and received no reply. She did 10+ deals the day she signed up which is I assume why they checked her contact info. I have saved all my emails and the correspondence from Metaexchange which I can send you if necessary.

I'm afraid that's all the info I have. I never thought to ask for her address and phone because I was sending a PayPal payment (I know, that will never happen again!) - and so I can't even file mail fraud chgs. She's not listed by her email address on Ebay, SmartCollecting, Nobidding or any other site I have tried. Please let me know what I can do from here. If nothing, then can you post a bad trader report on her? Sadly, I'm sure I'll never see my Sakura or my money, but I don't want anyone else to be taken by this woman. Please watch out for this person. Paypal and Metaexhange both have removed her. But there are many of us who are out quite a bit of money.

I will keep you informed if I learn anything else. According to Amethyst, she and MetaExchange believe that this information is false, so it probably won't be of much help. but you never know. Crystal was matched with me in mid-July for a Speckles bear for $43.50. I was wondering why she chose me, since there were higher offers, but she did, and contacted me in a very quick and friendly manner. I paid her via Paypal right away, and she told me that the bear would be in the mail on a Monday--she contacted me on a Friday, I believe, so I thought no more of it, until MetaExchange contacted me on that Monday or Tuesday to inform me that they learned her phone number was a fake. I contacted Crystal immediately and many times thereafter via e-mail, but no answer was ever sent. Looks like I am out the $46.70--like most of us.
