I have trade problem. And I need help My sister is Yoko Takano.She traded with Cyndi Mcelligott on April. We really wanted issys.So Yoko and I decided and  traded 12 Nipponias and 3 Sakura buddies for Cyndi's 20 Issys. We mailed them on April 24 and she was to have done the same. She received our parcel on 27th April. And we are still waiting for her parcel but it still has not arrived yet. We e-mailed Cyndi many times and Cyndi said she sent her Issys but since the first one is disappeared that she sent another package of Issys again on wed of next week that she wrote on 12th May.But never arrived.  This is the email where she said this:

(5-12-2001) "Hi, Post office is still tracing and has not got back to me. If it comes down to it I will send out another Parcel on Wed. of next week that way I can see if you get it. I am very sorry but i did send out and have proof of  it.Please email if you get them any time soon"

(6-3-2001) "Hi, The second Box was sent out on the 22nd of may. Was told by Post Office not to send it But I sent it anyway.Was told that  Package was in Japan, after that they can not trace."

This is the first email that i have received from you or anybody concerning this trade. My PC has been down for 3 weeks. i sent out first shipment and they say they never received. I then shipped out another package to them. I highly doubt they did not receive both, it is funny how you have to deal with a second party and not the person I dealt with. Who is filing the complaint?? I am an honest trader and my feedback speaks for itself can you ask where her or his feedback is. I would gladly send you a receipt that it was shipped. I sent both by airmail and was told they could not be tracked or proof of delivery unless I paid for express which was 80.00. Your comments on being a good trader are out of line and feedback does make a Difference it shows what kind of trader you are you are being short cited here . I have many people that I have traded with over 200. Some have been lost in the mail and I have replaced to UK but twice being lost no way.  Cyndi

Thank you for your e-mail. I read her e-mais, then Her e-mail gave me a shock, a big shock. I don't recieve from her anything packages. that she wrote,so I really would like  to know tracking number not reciept.But I e-mailed her same things many  times. ( asking for her proof of mailing)  Last e-mail from her was was 3rd June.Then I am not receive her e-mails any more now. I do not believe that she is honest person and good trader. But,,I true true sent 2 pretty Nipponias to Scott.  And Scott still say that she doesn't receive Nipponias from me yet... Yes, that conplaint that you have transferred below and that was about  Cyndi Mcelligott in Rochester. I know about the other person who got in the same type of trouble with Cyndi or Scott.  Here is the summary of what has happed: ( I could transfer all our conversation mails)

1st transaction: We have agreed 1st trade : My 1 Sakura buddy and 3 Nipponia for her 2 Tradees. I have posted the parcel on July 3rd. I should have posted by trackable EMS but I decided to post it by Regular Air mail, since sending the parcel with  buddy was heavy. I have received the parcel from her but she told me she has not received from  me. (Meanwhile, she kept asking me HOW it was sent)

2nd transaction: She asked me to do the 2nd trade. I have posted 4 Nipponias on August 1st by EMS and can confirm that she has received on August 8th. (EE634790304JP) http://www.usps.com/shipping/epstrac.htm She said she also sent the 2nd one by Global Priority and gave me the numbers: LX503695929US but I have NEVER received.  When I told her about that, she was not even worried about her 2nd parcel.  (that was because she has never sent)

Conclusion:  I have received only her 1st parcel and she has received "at least" my 2nd parcel, (even though I posted 2 parcels)

She was my 1st or only trader who said she has not received my parcel. You might say she might be telling the truth about not-receiving, but I don't  understand why many parcels that were posted to her place are disappearing, not  only mine but also other one from other traders in Japan. ( Talking about the  conpliant by:Tmm_Sakamoto@shi.co.jp  I have talked with Tamma and she also sent the parcel to Mcelligott by Regular airmail so that her parcel is not trackable too. I should have kept the receipt when I shipped her, and I really regret not having done so. However even if I did, that could not prove that was the receipt of the parcel that for her place because our receipt on Regular airmail doesn't show any forwarded address or names, it shows only the price and the date. But why many parcels sent  by regular aimail to her parcel get lost ??? So either Joan Mcelligott using the fraudulent name of Joan Paulson and email of richgirl9@hotmail.com is scamming the Japanese just like Cyndi and doing it on her own or is in it with her relative Cyndi OR this is actually still Cyndi scamming and using her relatives name and mailing address  to have the packages sent to so that people do not think that they are dealing with Cyndi. There is a chance that Paulson could be Joan Mcelligotts maiden name but that is just guess on my part.

Hi! Yea cyndi is a real cookie. She lied to me several times. Said she had the 2001ty signature bear "In Hand" @ her store she told me. Took weeks to get it . Then She didn't even send it to me/ another dealer did. She bought it from him and then he sent it to me. Told several other lies. Just be careful and don't trust what she tells you! Michelle

Hello...I haven't traded for a while but I remember her. She said she mailed same day I did. I received the package three weeks later, with a corresponding date on the envelope. In other words she mailed well after I did and the tag was creased. I tried for quite a while to contact her with no response until I posted negative feedback. She was the only one I have ever posted negative for.I should tell you that the post mark was not even from her city but somewhere else in New York. I had the feeling that she needed my trade to make a deal and the person just sent her part to me. She seemed quite unaware the product was not mint and it was quite obvious. Then she told me  on Aug, 13 that her sister owned a ty store in Canada and was getting Pierre in by Aug 17 and would I like to trade another Nipponia for Pierre. Then she emailed me On Aug 15 and told me that Pierre would be in middle to the next week which would have been Aug. 22. I went ahead and mailed on Aug. 17. I have not heard from her since. There was a big problem though: Inside, there were only 4 Signature 2001though we have agreed to trade my 4 MWMT Nipponias for her 4 MWMT Sig's 2001 + 1 MWMT Tradee. You can also check and calculate the difference of the postal charge by the weight? She had paild USD 9 sending 4 beanies but if you sent 5 beanies it should have been more?? Also every Signatures had some scratches on their hang tags. I just can't feel like leaving positive FB for her lacking 1 Tradee and receiving 2 months later, with the dropped valued Beanies...Best wishes   Tomoko

I got the package that I sent to Joan back in the mail. She had never picked it up at the postoffice.  Mami

On 4th August I used 'Buy it Now' to purchase Poopsie beanie baby Auction Number 1623327047 for $15. This seller had other auctions so I asked about Signature 2001 and she offered one for $35 making a total of $50. Mailing to the UK was $57.50   I immediately transmitted $57.50 via Paypal. After a few days the amount remained unclaimed and Cyndi did not respond to emails so I cancelled the payment. I then got a threatening email so I resent the funds. She said she had already sent the package and was reporting everything to Ebay.   Having re-sent the funds she supplied me with the tracking number for the package LZ512098306US. This reference has never been accepted by Global Priority as having been mailed.  I went on holiday on 11th August and returned on 26th - still no package. I emailed on 27th August to tell her no package. On 28th August she offered to send a new package and by email on 4 Sept confirmed a second package had been sent then nothing. I emailed regularly asking for a tracking number etc. but no reply.  In desperation I sent an email saying I would leave negative feedback if no response - no response so feedback left. Guess what an email 1 October accusing me of being unreasonable. She claims to have sent me two packages and two sets of tracking numbers. Yesterday I received a letter enclosing a tracking number - guess what mailed on 11 September - on system but still no sign.  She says she will send a third package if no delivery !!!!!!!!!!!!   It is now 2 months since this transaction began. I would not rip anyone off for $57.50 I could buy the beanies in the UK now for $7 each but so what - I want what I paid for. Incidentally her address on the letter is:

Plse can you help me. I have just been reading the Birdland message board and noticed your message about a Cyndi McElligot. I did a trade with this person about 4 weeks ago and still haev not rec'd her part of the trade. She keeps saying that she has not rec'd my trade either. She always takes ages in replying and I am starting to get the feeling that she has scammed me. I did not get proof of mailing when I posted her goods out. She claims that she posted my parcel out on 14th Sept. I traded her one buck buddy for her one New face brown. I first contacted her one week after posting to say that I had still not rec'd her parcel and she claims that she has not rec'd mine. Another week later I contacted her again and she said that post was very slow and customs were checking parcels very carefully. She still claims that she posted out on 14th Sept. I have to say that she is very very slow in returning e-mails.  This is the first time that I have ever been scammed and it is enough to put you off trading. She is changing her name and email address many times. Because Cyndi Mcelligott is famous of bad trader. I said to her that send back my package please. But she said that she have nothing from me and I should get MC bear any day. If she really mailed me her MC bear, maybe she have to be worried if the package arrived or not as I was worried. This is VERY serious.  My mum and dad will be e-mailing you too regarding being scammed by a "dan sawdowski"   At the bottom of this e-mail is everything that shows all the e-mails between him and my husband dave and I regarding a trade for his freiherr von schwarz - we sent him a buckingham beanie which he appears to now have up for trade on BBOT!!!!!! Deltadawn has e-mailed us she has sent him $130 for her 2 bears - her e-mails are also attached to the document for you. a "cindy mcelligot" is registered with you as a bad trader and is at the same address as dan sawdowski where we sent our buckingham beanie too. The feedback dan gave us to check was under the id joanpaulson on ebay and if you check this out you will see the feedback is left for someone called "lina" - someone else who has sent us an e-mail trying to say dan is good, yet lina mcelligot has her e-mail address on your list as a bad trader and is known as - yes you guessed it "cindy mcelligott" !!!!!  Datheman1 has posted this morning US time on BBOT as having freiherr in hand and also buckingham beanie for sale so I have posted underneath is this my buckingham and you are advertising freiherrs but why haven't I received mine. my mum is disabled and I am so upset that her and my dad may have been scammed by him too or her if Dan sawdowski is in fact Cindy Mcelligot - I felt sick when I saw your traderlist on cindy and scott and how they may be using relatives to help them scam  I think this is bigger than many of us think, if you look on e-bay you can see joanpaulson is bidding and winning bears but are they trading as pre-sells, getting bears off the likes of us to pay for their auctions which they win at a lower price after selling our bears we sent at a higher price. I really think you need to look into this. Hello I have had to let you know but I think we have been scammed by a person by the name of Dan Sawdoski this person is offering Trades on the TY Beanie Board of Trade and the user name on BBOT is dantheman1, we responded to one of his trades on the 17th February 02, we agreed to trade a Wales Exclusive Beanie Baby for the German Exclusive Freiherr Von Schwarz, we posted our beanie to him on the 24th February 02, via International Recorded Delivery, we sent the tracking number so he could trace the package if he wanted to he has told us that he has received the package, as of today and numerours e-mails we still haven't received our bear he has told us he sent it to us on the 21st Feb 02 by Global Priority the tracking number he gave us is LZ512358641US when I have gone into the United States Parcel Service and Global Priority Service and entered the tracking number it tells me the number is not registered and therefore can't be tracked, I even had a look on our British Royal Mail Site and again the same thing.

If this was posted to us on the 21st February 02 by Global Priority I know for a fact that if that was the case we would have had the parcel by now as we have had many trades from the states by Global Priority which were traded a few days after this trade & we have received all other trades from different people in America. The user name this person gave on E-Bay as a reference was JoanPaulson we checked the feed back and it did seem o.k all positive no negatives, however today I have been looking a little bit further into this person and I have found out this person is also known as Cindy Mcgelligot.

This address is also used by Cindy Mcgelligot also known as lina Mcgelligot, also known as Joan Paulson. I do truly believe that this Dan Sawdoski, Cindy & Lina Mcgelligot & Joan Paulson are all the same person. I don't know what to do as we haven't heard from Dan Sawdoski since yesterday and what is upsetting me more than me losing our half of the trade is I recommended this person to my daughter Mrs Karen Mercer and she hasn't received her bear yet. I do believed she is also getting in touch with you. Can you tell me what we should do next I am willing to answer any questions to the police or the Fraud Investigators, this kind of business will have to stop and if that means us all pulling together to make it happen then so be it. I do know that some people have sent him money for bears that he had advertised for sale on the BBOT and these people are worried now they might not get there bears, but he / she has there money.  Please tell us what we should do next, I have got all the e-mails we have exchanged with this person I will forward them on a different e-mail to you straight away and I shall mark it Fraudulent Trader E-Mails. The E-Mails are split from us to him and him to us hope this helps you to grasp what is going on.

The postman arrived. He had a parcel for me that had been badly damaged in transit and they ahd tried to mend the box as best they could. Inside was my FREIHERR!!!! At last!!!!! It was perfect. However it was only sent out on 11th March according to the date on the global priority envelope and the tracking number was completely different to the one I had been given by Dan. It is not and I repeat NOT a mans handwriting either. It is very swirly so I would say that ha been sent by Lina/Cindy not Dan LOL unless he is very feminine LOL!!!! If I hadn't done what I had I know I would not have received my bear. So many people are e-mailing me now to say they too have received their bear which was sent on 11th March long after they were told it was originally. So by working together we have proved to these bad traders that some of us won't be cheated and scammed. Don't give up the fight for your half of the trade. Keep all e-mails between you and the other party and get ready with the addresses of all the people you will inform - local police IFCC etc etc and tell the bad trader you will inform the relevant people. Be strong and with support and guidance from all at traderlist you will get your bear. I am smiling again, he is a beautiful bear but what a hassle getting him!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks Gramma Pat and Trudy

hi,she offered me graf von rot for scotland,i agreed,she sent her mailing details and so did i,i gave details of where she could find my refs,she avoided giving me hers,so after a few emails that were unanswered i insisted on refs then she came up with the name passionate1 on ebay,i checked,the refs are great but they are not hers and the person under that handle lives other side of america,with totally different name,and email address! i went through some papers of beanies that never arrived just after sept 11th and low and behold under a different name and email address i found the same home address,i looked up bad traders list under country and state and found several different names and a list of complaints as long as your arm! the name she gave me was dawn spiro passionate12345@hotmail.com and the address 5 hickory manor dr,rochester ny 1606 usa, and the other name i had was linda alleto,same address as above except rochester ny 14618, email lindall@rochester.rr.com. i received a warning that her real name was cindy mcelligott,then i asked her and she said no ive only been at this address a few months,then i got other emails using same home postal address but using name lina mcelligott and email lina24@rochester.rr.com and i have all mail to proove what i have said,even in one mail the trader mentions lina/cindys husband scott! if she has nothing to hide why use someone else refs and several different names and emails..please be careful one trader fears she has been scammed because her trade has not arrived and a few others are concerned too!!!

She had posted wanted beanies on BBOT, I answered her ad, she said she was new to trading as I was, I said I wanted 3 of one item, she said she had some more coming, I did not know how to check traderlist (do now) She contacted me when she supposedly had more, I mailed mine to her with confirmation number, I asked her for her confirmation number, and never heard back, until I checked your traderlist and there she was. I told her I was going to post on TY that she was a scam artist, Then and only then after numerous e-mails did she contact me and say she had been an accident and broken her leg. I asked her about the name and address on the bad traderlist, she said the name was her neice. The name and address are as follows:

I finally got my beanies today. She did not mail it until April 19 and was to have mailed it on April 14. She did not mail package til I notified her and told her I would contact authorities. she is still on BBOT as peanut1000.

I am coming to you for help as I have met up with a very nasty person. I sent her two Asian Pacific bears Mung and wattlie This woman named Peggy Keyes, and I will forward you the emails with the addresses, was supposed to send me a Scotland and Celebrations. I sent my package to her priority mail, del. con. #0310 2990 0001 0926 6873. She obviously received her end of the trade but I haven't. I emailed her and asked where it was and when she sent it. She said she sent it several days after I sent mine and she sent it first class. I waited two more days and still received nothing. I requested she send back the two bears I sent her and she said she would reship (which in itself sounds suspicious). Today she said she shipped priority mail del.con #0301 0120 0006 5132 5650. I checked the post office's website. There is no such number. Now she is accusing me of receiving what she says she sent. Of course I didn't. Can you help, Trudy? I just want my two back. I'll forward you whatever correspondence you need between us.  Thanks

Package received from her. She was supposed to have mailed on the same day that I did-- August 21. She did not. When I questioned her when she got my package and I did not get hers she said she had mailed several days after I sent mine. Well she lied about that also as she did not send until August 31!!!

I sent a money order in the amount of $40.00 on Sept 2, 2002 for 24 display cases. 10/10 I emailed to see if she had received my money, and she needed my address to check her records.10/15 I emailed her to see if my address helped, she answers no record. I get a copy from the bank and mail to her, she says the cases will be sent 10/18, have not heard from her since , have sent 3 emails and no response.

I sent a Paypal payment to smcelli1@rochester.rr.com then found this person on the BAD trader list. I believe they snatched the funds immediatly because I am unable to cancel.  It all started with Joanne Minor(dolfan99@watchmail.com) posted UK Flower Trio $60,Mom-E $20 and N/F Teddy for $15. This all seemed like fair prices so asked where to send payment , preferably M.O. She gave the address of smcelli1@rochester.rr.com for Paypal. I first typed in the wrong address and was able to cancel that order because they were not a Pay pal participant but I sent to the correct address and soon checked out they were on the BAD traderlist and Tried to cancel right away without any response. Same as E.mailing Joanne(dolfan99@watchmail.com) and Scott Mcelligott (smcelli1@rochester.rr.com)  Absolutly No responce from Either after moer than several atemps. Complaint has been filed @ Pay pal but I am new and want to let everyone know that there are scammers out there.  LMK if any progess is found on your side,    PLEASE HELP,   Colleen

I want to let you know I recieved a refund from smcelli1@rochester.rr.com by paypal.. This proves I did not recieve my entire order, I belive Joanne is just caught up with some known Bad Trader. Cyndi McElligott - This person bought 2 Herschel beanies from me and asked if she could pay with a friends paypal and then paid me twice for one sent to her and one sent to a friend. 2 days later she reported to paypal that I had not shipped and they notified me I had 2 complaints against me. They asked me to refund her and I refused to them and her and fought for almost 1 week to get her to drop them. When friends warned her to drop it she did but she has gone after many others under aliases such as Karen Johnson or Joanne Minor. Dont send to unconfirmed addresses until you verify a lot of positive feedback. She has none or more bad.

In October, 2002, I made a purchase from Cyndi16@rochester.rr.com (better known as Cyndi16 eBay User ID on eBay) for a Sakura beanie baby for $70 + $5 shipping. Even though Cyndi claimed she sent the beanie, I never received it and she was not able to give me any proof of shipping. My countless emails to her go unanswered. I waited a few months because I realize US Customs Label shipping takes awhile, but it has been too long now, without any package from Cyndi in sight.  That's when I contacted Phyllis and she gave me the information about The Bad Traders List and I saw Cyndi's name there in blazing colors with many complaints, especially from people from Japan and the U.K. I'm in the U.K., too. So, I would appreciate it if you could help me in any way. If you could add this post to her growing list of complaints, I would greatly appreciate it.  Please let me know what additional information you need from me.  Its unfortunately been over 90 days since close of auction! As I E-mailed her constantly for about 60 days, then I left a month as i thought she might be getting annoyed....then nothing. She used name:

Hello, I was contacted by an eBay member and told to immediately contact you. I'm Brett, I won an eBay auction from Cyndi Melligot and I was cheated as well. Paid $20 for a Herschel Ty Beanie Bear and $5 shipping. Her email was  cyndi16@rochester.rr.com. She offered me a variety of phony shipping confirmations and It's almost been 2 months and 3 alleged shipments of my product. So far, I have received nothing. I willing to provide any information you need and as much support as possible in catching this disgrace to the eBay community. I don't recall the mailing address, as I mailed nothing to her-- paid through credit card. As far as contacting eBay goes, I don't know how. I left this woman negative feedback for not sending product and in return, she did the same to me-- I PAID FOR MY AUCTION! There was NO reason to leave me negative feedback. I completed my end of the deal! I'm so frustrated at this woman!

Scott and Linda Mcelligot are nothing but thieves and liars.I purchased what I believed was a miami dolphins jersey, and what i recieved was a youth jersey which was totally useless and about half the value of the adult one. After attempts to contact them were unsuccseful, I proceeded to contact ebay and paypal to attempt to achieve a resolution. after leaving a fraud report with ebay I did recieve a response through ebay telling me to return the jersey and i will be sent a refund. but this is not the end of the story. scott immediatly changed his email to a different one than the one he was using on ebay preventing me from contacting him and telling ebay i have not responded back to him. as far as his address i have so far found three different ones. one on the original package sent to me,one through ebay, and another I got from one of his other customers/victims. I am still waiting to here from this waste of time!!! Whether it is beanis or any kind of football jersey they will steal from you!!!
