On Jan. 25th we finalized a trade for her Silver Peanut Card for my Buddies and new beanie bears + hippie. Were to mail Priority on the 26th which I did. She received box which was damaged. Stated "tag fell off Cran. Teddy when I took it out of the box". I felt terrible as I had sent a mint Teddy but told her to return it and I would replace it. I mailed out the 2nd Teddy by priority the next day. No card arrived. Emailed her stating such to which she replied "I had so many trades when I told you I had mailed the Silver Peanut I thought I had mailed yours" I found yours and will mail it and the 1st Teddy back. Again nothing arrives. Emailed her that I needed both by Feb12th as we were leaving early on the 13th. Wanted the Teddy for Granddaughter for Valentine's Day. She mailed overnight by UPS and even sent tracking #. Box arrived -- Teddy not even wrapped or protected in anyway and no Card. Emailed to that effect. Where was card? Her reply "I didn't realize that I forgot to put the darn card in there until the Cr. Teddy got sent off. By the time I got back there, UPS was already there and the box gone. I did put the Silver Peanut in the mail today." That was 2-12. To date have not received the Silver Peanut. Many emails but most of mine go unanswered. She did offer a Gold Princess card, which I will have in a few days, in place of the Silver Peanut. I told here I would like the Silver Peanut. She said she would look for one. Then she got the flu. Said she would be on her computer at p.m. on the 6th of March. I sent messages but no response. Claims she sent message and was waiting for my reply. I never received message. Asked her to resend and now she is not replying again. After waiting 7 weeks and giving her numerous chances to resolve this decided I had no recourse but to come here and warn others. Please note that on Jan 25, and 30 and also in Feb there are references to her. Have also heard from others to whom she owes something.  Would Not Trade or Buy Anything From Dawn.who had posted about her on Trader list. Also got a couple responses from others who saw my posting on TY Guestbook. One is still owed $15. by her. Dawn claims to have had 3 Silver Peanuts at one time. Supposedly has been "looking for" Peanut. She has a million excuses. Server done, snow storm, flu, late meetings at work, etc. Her mail does not come back. Others said she does read mail but does nothing until threats are followed thru. Some have gotten the police involved. One had $$$ wired to her. It will cost me about 325 to get that card now.

comments: I sent her three trading cards blue splash, silver trap, and blue humphrey . She was to send me $35 and a Cranberry Teddy Buddie. I have never received anything. Now she is saying that she is going to file a police report on me! I gather for "harassing" her for not making good on our deal.

comments: I entered a caution note about Dawn Mowinski on on 1/25 stating that I had sent money and had not recieved beanies or had my money returned. Today I was wired my money, in full including shipping. I am glad for that! I have never received any beanies and would use caution if dealing with Dawn.. Dawn indicated that she had sent the beanies to me on several occassions but I never received them. I am not sure if she ever had them in her possession. Use caution and keep the communication open!

Cautionlist elf tried many times to contact her but although emails went through they were all ignored.

Dawn Mowinski from Illonis took $40 dollars of mine for a beanie baby (98 teddy) and never sent it!!!!!! I called her home phone and she hung up on me and before that she wrote me telling me that she had problems with her internet server, well her email address was,,sammy@accesschicago.net but changed it her, address is DAWN MOWINSKI LYNWOOD,IL 60411---she is a cheat and liar don't trust her!!!!!!!!!!!

Dawn is still up to her scamming but has changed her email address. People beware she lives in Lynnwood Illinois. The Lynnwood police dept. has now gotten involved to help some of us recover our monies that Dawn has scammed. Please use extreme caution when trading on the Ty board as she is sure to surface again with a new email address! BEWARE!!! She owes over $1000 in auctions and refunds!
