I have just received a number of retired beanies from Derek Abbott. The whole deal was worth $3000 so well over the required amount. Not only has he failed to supply 2 items, but also went on to say that we were short by $54 on the payment.
The main thing is that the majority items are all fakes, something that can be corroborated by simple checking of the tags. He has sent certificates of authenticity, or so he says, but they are to follow under separate mail. Also he has stated by phone, and in print, and yes I have all the correspondance to support this, that all of these beanies are 100% authentic, and has had the certificates issued by a licenced authenticator, again we have correspondance to verify this. It seems that this "group" has at one time, had the genuine articles and have got certificates to put against the fakes that they are currently selling.
At this stage , I have contacted him by phone and spoken to him, to which he replied that he would contact me on Sunday this week to sort out the deal. I do feel that we should be entitled to a refund in this instance and will be asking him to forward us the $ asap. I also think that it will be unlikely that I hear from him. In that event, I will forward to you all the necessary documents, emails and general proof of the deal, including all his bank details, addresses, and hope that we can manage to salvage a fairly large sum of money.

Please write to Mr. and Mrs. Emery and let them know I am extremely sorry. I have had some problems with getting the money out but will get it to them. Please do not file these charges. I am a minor and I can't spend me whole life in jail. I never knew the beanies were fake. I will return their money. Please can you give me a few more days. I beg of you. The money will get sent I promise. Please try to allow more time. Thank you!

I purchased off of this respectable website a garcia and a Libearty beanies for 100.00 dollars each. A few months ago I sold this to a lady in colorado who sent Libearty to Peggy Gallagher and she confirmed that it was a fake. I contacted Derek Abbot who is the website owner operator about this He stated to me that he purchased this from a man on Ebay that told him he would refund Derek the Money. I then sent to Derek (ty2000beanies a request from paypal for my money back he intern told me he didnt have suffecient funds on paypal and would send me my money thru a money order in the mail so far I have not recieved it. It took me forever TO GET THEM AND NOW IT SEEMS THAT GETTING MY 100.00 DOLLARS BACK WILL BE THE SAME I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP

He did  repay but it was after contacting the fresno PD and also get online contacting the attorney general office of california and they intern sent someone to his school to question him that is the only way to do it you need to go to attorney general office California Dept. of Justice - Office of the Attorney General http://caag.state.ca.us/

I am sorry to hear they have done this. I will gladly refund their money as long as I am not posted as a bad trader. This deal was many of many of months ago. I purchased the beanies as 100% authentic on E-Bay. They kept the beanies and decided to sell a few weeks ago. They then told me the person who they sold to refused because it was fake. Because or sale took place in February I feel that I am not to be held for this problem. The person I originally purchased from no longer has an e-mail address that is valid. I am sorry but never was I presented proof the beanie was even fake. I am not accountable!  Thank you,  DSA

I'm sending this due to a message sent to BEL requesting problems be addressed to your site. This involves Ty2000Beanies@aol.com (Derek) I'm fairly new on BEL, and although I had seen warnings about 'Derek', I bid on an auction without knowing the connection between Derek & his e-address. I have over 200 positive feedback on eBay. I did honor my bid after receiving his e signed Derek, cause that's 'me'. I'm going to paste my contact with him and will update you if I receive my missing item. I did not respond to HIS email saying that he swears that all 'beanie kids' were in the box. They weren't. Yesterday he finally sent a moneygram to UK for $2200 of the $3000 he owed the other trader. He deducted $800 for his expenses.

Derek and I were trading beanie baby's and buddy's..I sent him a mwmt Clubby I beanie and buddy in exchange for a mwmt ty-dye digger buddy..I insured my package and have the insurance slip and cash receipt from the post office..he has only provided me with a delivery confirmation number which is 0300 6000 0003 3957 8828..when you go to the USPS site and put in the number it says no record found..he claims he has not received the buddy and beanie but I am sure he has..I have not received the clubby and I am filing a report with the Fresno,CA police dept..apparently he has been duping a lot of people thru both ebay and bean-e-link..hope he gets caught..thank you Sandra

I have been defrauded by this person in Fresno, CA – Derek Abbott, holidayauction1@aol.com. I verified his feedback and it seemed okay – not a lot, but all good. He has several e-mail addresses. I have saved all correspondences. When I told him that I had not yet received the package from him he seemed “so surprised” and said that the package I had sent had not arrived. I mailed mine on the 17th of January as agreed. I was suspicious after 5 days since mailing and started doing more checking. I found him on the Bad Trader’s List and contacted him again. He said mine had never arrived and gave me a confirmation number. Imagine my amazement when I found that there was no record of the number. I checked my confirmation number and it stated that my package was delivered on 1/20 at 10:23 am. I have contacted the Fresno Police Department and will be contacting the Attorney General’s Office, as well. I am out $ 85 in MWMT Beanies and have nothing to show for it. DO NOT deal with this person. He is listed as holidayauction1@aol, holidayauction@aol.com, ty2000beanies@aol.com, coolcash22@aol.com. These are just the ones of which I am aware. I will be pursuing this matter.
Any assistance out there would be greatly appreciated.

Avoid this man and whatever you do, don't send anything to him in the mail. He is like a human vacum cleaner he will suck up your trade items and never give you anything in return. This man has negitives where ever he goes just look under ebay using Derek Abbott. If the DA id reading this, Derek deserves to be punished severely. If I did not out wit him he would of stolen $400 worth of beanies from me. Please this low life has to be stopped.

Hi! I had first sent a note to bean-e-link, and they just replied and said that the e-bayer for a teenage fraud, and they have since cancelled him. He had posted some beanie babies for sale(his e-mail is:coolcash22@aol.com), I bought 2 and sent him a M/O for $84.00, and a personal check for a deposit on 2 others, which was cashed back in Janauary. I have e-mailed him many times, and have not heard from him since, that's why I contacted the link. And told me how to get started. I will get the form from the P.O. tomarrow, and will contact the Fresno police and a postal inspector, to get the ball rolling. I just got the computer in Dec., and have bought many things, and this was the first problem that I've had. So I can use all the help that you can give me....HELP!!! THope all is well. Well...derek abbott finally got back to me, I guess I made him very nervous and very scared!! It serves the little brat to sweat and shake...I sent another couple of e-mails to him, no reply, then I sent him an e-mail and told him I contacted Det. Ken Dong in the Fresno police dept., and put in a fraud complaint against him, then I told him I contacted the FBI and put in another fraud complaint, then I told him I put in a complaint with the postal inspectors and proceed to tell him that I had worked for the post office for over 15 years and one thing those postal inspectors will do is go after you BIG time!! And I would MAKE SURE he got jail time, and I didn't care that he was only 16, and the inspectors would do that!! Yes, I did put in a complaint with the det. and the FBI, but hadn't done the Postal inspector as of yet, but it worked!! Cause he e-mailed me pretty quick after that and said do you expect paypal? I said you better and you better do it now, and he kept saying call them off!! Cancel the complaints!! Yes it scared him, and would you believe he did it??? At first he did it wrong, and he did end up redoing it and I got my $$$, well $105 of the $109 he actually took me for...but I was glad I got that!!! And after it was all done I blasted him!!!No bad words, but let him really have it, and I did tell the Det. when I e-mailed him back that he should still be charged with fraud... Oh well!! I am also going to contact e-bay and have him cancelled off of there under his new e-mail name of ty2000beanies@aol.com, because he shouldn't be on there!!! So I want to thank you very, very much for all the info that you let for me, because I did follow thru and I guess I was one of the lucky ones to get my $ back. I guess if you get any more complaints on him, tell the people to e-mail him and tell him they contacted Det. Something interesting...I got an e-mail from someone earlier tonight, he didn't want his name mentioned. Any way, he got a letter from Derek Abbott's mom!! And she told him that a Det. Dong had contacted her about her son and that she would reimburse him for what Derek owed, but she needed the details. The date, the beanies he paid for, the amount, etc. Then she went on to say that: "Due to the seriousness of what her son did, that she is in the process of cancelling his beanie baby internet business!!"" And he told me he thinks it was the mom doing most of it...The mom's name is: Danene Abbott and her e-mail is:neanerdpa@aol.com. So I guess maybe you can add that to the complaints so she will get the e-mails? Thanks again, will keep you informed if I hear more...robin

Derek returned 4 of my 6 items. He put in Hairy instead of Beginning and he put in Nice Runner instead of Mean Runner. His mother is sending me a check for my outages.
