Recently alot of us have had very unsuccessful dealings with a Derek R Glover. We all won auctions (some ALOT more than others) ending the 10th of March (I believe he ran some auctions acouple nights before that too) Well money was sent and of course now we have not received merchandise or any replys to our e-mails. This is the address money was sent to 2003 Harp Dr. Hacienda Heights CA 91745. And this is the e-mail address ENGLISHDEREK@prodigy.net . I do have this cautionlist and checked it before hand, I also checked his feedback before bidding which I believe was 10+ Any help or information you can offer us would be greatly appreciated!!!I myself was only taken for $23.75 and was suppose to receive two "Sammy" bears. Others have been taken for much more!

I bid on auction #3469214 24 Mint Kicks the Soccer bear ready to ship MWMT--which ended March 13th PM. I won 2 Kicks at 13.00 each + 3.75 S&H. I mailed my cashier check for 30.00 on 3/17. I have sent numerous e-mails to Derek; pleading the cases of all the people who have not recieved e-mail or bears from him. Nothing has worked ; he won't answer any of us---It's as if he vanished.

What can you tell me? It looks like this guy has a long list of dissatisfied buyers. We can report him to Internet Fraud. The phone number is: 1-800-876-7060. I asked Derek Glover for his phone number before I sent my money order. He gave it to me: 626-961-8415, but I did not call it to verify if that is really him. I would tend to doubt it. I should have checked before sending the mo. We can get this guy though, We can contact the police in Hacienda Heights, CA. It is considered Internet Fraud and Mail Fraud and it looks like a number of others want their money or their goods.  I sent him a money order for $77, which was to pay for 6 Beanie Babies.  What a bloody pain it is to encounter dishonest people like this.

Lots of us have been shafted by Derek Glover in the past month. Try calling him. I did. His phone # is: 626-961-8415. I have a feeling he never planned to send any Beanies, but with so many people calling him he may be thinking he has to make good or go to jail. He claims he will mail mine on Monday. (tomorrow) I know that a few others have received theirs. But he may not be sending to anyone who does not demand theirs by calling him. He does NOT answer emails. The badtrader list is a great place. If you read the scam buster section of it, you will find out that some of the crooks are being caught and maybe Derek is beginning to realize that. Good luck. I won two auctions on Yahoo with seller Derek Glover of Hacienda Heights, CA. His Yahoo ID is englishderek and his email is englishderek@prodigy.net. I won the auctions on March 13. He didn't contact me until very late on March 16. I mailed my money ($63 for 2 Fuzz and 1 Valentina Ty Beanie Babies) on March 22. I requested that he contact me when he received my money, I still have not heard from him. In fact, all contact with him is quite untimely. According to the feedback on him at Yahoo, there are a number of VERY unhappy, dissatisfied customers. Although I am not yet at the point of believing I have been "ripped off", I am unhappy with his response time and will never deal with him again. I am writing this to you in support of all of the people who have never received thier products and those who recieved damaged products. If I do not hear from him (in regards to receipt of my money) by tomorrow I will report the Money Order as stolen and have NationsBank begin an investigation.

I received my beanies last Wednesday. A group of us had contacted the Bad TRaders List and they, in turn, contacted him. He mailed all of our beanies out the next day. I assumed he had mailed out everyone's, but I guess it was only the people who were cc'd by cautionelflist or people who called him.

I won a Yahoo auction for a Ty Beanie Baby named "Sammy" for $10.00 The seller e-mailed me right away and said that with postage the total would be $13.75. I sent a cashiers check made out to the seller the same day, March 11th. To date he will not respond to my e-mail and I have not received the bear. On checking his comments looks like alot of others are having problems also. His information is as follows: Derek R. Cautionlist elf tried to notify him but no response. Believe these complaints are just the tip of the iceburg also as there have been 6 in only 2 days.

I sent $106.00 to Derek on March 17 for 4 fuzz beanie babies. I have not recieved them or had any response from email I sent to him since then. I won an auction at Yahoo of Derek Glovers on 5/25/99. As of today 7/2/99 I still have not heard from Derek! I mailed him a Money Order on 5/26/99. which he has cashed. He refuses to contact me concerning this matter. My loss amounted to $35.99 for the "SPANGLE" Beanie Baby, Derek certainly has ripped off quite a few people! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully the law can do something about Derek Glover!!

I have a feeling, that Derek Glover has struke again. Today, after I sent my payment, I received notice that I was getting scammed. I won the spangle auction for $26.50. (ebay auction #124247463) I checked out his rating on ebay, and he had a 10+ rating. But now, he has received numerous negative feedbacks. Update October 1999:
I have received the merchandise from Tripledeals. It took him a few extra weeks for delivery, but I was satisfied with the results of the situation. Although, I do not recommend anyone to purchase merchandise from him.  I appreciate your past responses on this matter. Derek Glover is no concern to me at this time. Also, I would like to thank everyone that warned me about Derek Glover, and offered their help. Thanks and God Bless you all.

Derek Glover is now up to his old tricks again. He has listed a great many auctions on Ebay and taken many people for their money. I was able to stop payment on the check that I sent him because I was warned in time by a concerned fellow collector. After doing research and finding him on the Caution List, I searched ebay for another alias and found him listed as englishderek@prodigy.net . His current ID is tripledeals using the email address englishdg@aol.com I emailed many of the high bidders for his auctions to warn them and caught many in time before money was sent out. However, I was too late to help others. I know that the caution elf was successful in helping the people last time receive their merchandise and wondered if it might be possible again. By the way, this guy has listed over 50 dozen each of Spangle and Osito. There is no way that he could possibly come up with that many bears! Any help you could give my fellow beanie friends would be appreciated.

I spent an extensive amount of time today contacting every buyer that had contact with Derek Glover Tripledeals and worked with ebay and all his auctions were canceled and he was suspended from Ebay today. Derek Glover is a rude trader. He has promised to send my Spangle but I have yet to get it. I tried calling him this evening, but either his mother/sister is starting to lie for him. She said that there was no such person and she's had this phone number for the past month, which is impossible as I had called him last week and spoke to him then. NEVER trust this guy.

On 4-30-99, I won a Yahoo auction, a presale of Spangle the Ty Bear. The seller was new but had good comments. His note assured bidders that he was honest and would complete the transaction buy July 15, 1999. I won the auction, (http://auctions.yahoo.com/auction/43343310. His e-mail address is: englishderek@prodigy.net. His name is Derek English. He e-mailed me after the auction with name and address. I sent him a personal check in the amount of $41.51, certified return receipt. I have never heard from him again. I have sent several e-mails, some not so nice. I have checked feedback on the auction and there is a growing number of people he has taken money from and not sent the merchandise. There have been reports made to the Postal service and other agencies, not by me yet, that comes on Tuesday. I was wondering if you could help me. I too bought a Spangle Bear from Derek Glover. Is he really as bad as people say he is? I've emailed him a few times and he has answered me back. I still don't have my bear though. Also, I was wondering if you had a guy by the name of Norman Kemp III on your list of bad people? He lives in Sarver Pennsylvania and used to do auctions on Yahoo, his ID on Yahoo was NKemp. I have just received several emails from individuals who have had bad experiences with Derek Glover. Unfortunately, I just mailed (7/6) a Postal money order in the amount of $24.58 to him. I inquired at the PO if a stop payment could be placed on a PO MO and they said no so I may (or may not) be left out in the "cold" as it appear some others have been. I am currently trying to recall the letter from the deliverying PO.Are there any legal actions which can be filed against Derek Glover if all that is being stated is true? If I do find that Mr Glover is acting under back faith practices, I believe not only can I file mail fraud with the PO but also report him to the Attorney Generals office in California and the IRS for investigation. On 5/4/99, I sent a Teller's Check (bank money order) for $149 for 4 auctions won on Yahoo for a Spangle Beanie & 3 Buddies, Fuzz, Princess & Millennium. The check was mailed to Derek R. Glover (ENGLISHDEREK@prodigy.net) at the same Hacienda Heights address that everyone else seems to have sent their money to. At the time I checked his rating on Yahoo & it was positive 10+. Since it was a presell I'd been waiting patiently & trustingly, but caution flags arose when email inquiries weren't answered. Yesterday was my day of enlightenment when I checked back on Yahoo & found that over 40 others had been taken by him too. Networking really works & one of the other victims told me about TraderList & the TraderElf. I read your updated info about John R & Lynda Glover at the La Puente phone number. It's quite possible to have a Hacienda Heights address & La Puente phone number since the towns practically overlap in places. I am thankful for the update also on the email address (Englishdg@aol.com) & since I am an AOL user, I used the Instant Messaging feature last night to send a note to Mr. Glover. To my surprise, he answered & said that my merchandise would be mailed out by the end of the week & that if I checked on Yahoo, I would find that he was meeting his obligations & improving his rating. (It's not what I saw & I don't understand why Yahoo gives him a "minus 4" rating when there are 68 complaints against him. Needless to say, I don't believe him & I won't hold my breath. My credit union is sending me a copy of the back of the check that he endorsed & cashed. I have Complaint Forms coming from the US Postal Service. If I call long distance to the local Hacienda Heights Police Dept., are they going to laugh at me for trying to report this guy for a "Beanie Babie Rip-off"? Thank you for posting my comments about Derek Glover. As a result, I have been in contact with many of your readers & we've shared information. After 2 months & many threats made to Mr. Glover via email, I did receive my bears. Would you please include on your listings his current email: Englishdg@aol.com (You have 3 others listed but this is the most current.) Also, I was made aware that he is still selling on Yahoo but now using HOTDEALS4unow. It's alarming that even though there were 73 negatives comments & complaints made against him to Yahoo, he now has a "minus 2" rating as Englishderek - but no problem - he just changed his user ID & started all over again. Why don't they screen these dishonest sellers (that you know they've had lots of complaints about), & prevent them from using their sites to continue the rip-offs?

Well, I guess I am am an official member of the Derek Glover scam club. I won an auction 7/28/99 on Yahoo for Flitter the butterfly. Same old story... sent him the money, never got my item. I have contacted the Web Police, and plan on filing fraud charges it I do not recieve my item within the next few days. I have read several of the responces on your site, and notised that several people did recieve thier item. How did they do that? This is the second time (so far, I have won other auctions in the past few days) that I have been cheated out of my money and item. We have got to put a stop to this. I purchased and Osito from Derek Glover and sent money order for $31. He said beanie would be sent on Monday. It was not sent. I e-mailed again and he again said it would be sent on Monday, Aug. 16. I am very skeptical. Do not deal with this person. He uses e-mail of Englishdg@aol.com. His town is given as LaPuente and his internet name as hotdeals4unow.

I quess I am another victim of Mr. Glover's scams. He is now on Amazon selling under the name of "bargains4U" I bid on a LIPS beanie first week of August. At that time he had no negative feedback and only a few positives. I received a very friendly initial e-mail from him giving me his address, 2003 Harp Drive Hacienda Heights, CA. I immediately sent out a money order in the amount of $41.50. Today I was wondering, "What is taking so long for LIPS to arrive?" so I looked him back up on Amazon to check current feedbacks. Well now his Amazon rating is at a 2 star. It is loaded with negative feedback of all the people he has scammed. It appears Mr. Glover starts out at a new action site and builds up a handful of positive feedbacks then starts to rip you off!! I can't believe this has happened to so many of us and he is allowed to just keep it up and hop from one auction site to the other. Does anyone have any input they can give me about taking him to court?? I am willing to get an attorney in his area to represent me. Something has to be done about this. Thanks. Thank you so much for giving me Dereks phone number. I decided to call him to inquire about the shipment of "Lips" beanie. Called the phone # listed on message boards, (626)-961-8415, he answered on first ring. So I told him my name and that I wanted to know the "status" of my order. He told me it was shipped out that day, Aug 19th and he would e-mail a confirm #. I thought, "yeah right". This morning I had a e-mail from him with a delivery confirmation #. So I called the postal service 800 number and verified that this package was sent out of Hacienda Heights on Aug 19th, prior to my phone call to him. Also verified that the destination zip code of the package is mine. At this point I don't know what to think!! Hopefully I get what I paid for!! I'm thinking that maybe Mr. Glover knows he is walking a thin line here and realizes he better make good on these transactions. Sincerely  Susan

I too won an auction by seller name Englishdg@aol.com. Derek contacted me immediately w/his addr info. 7/30. I sent his monies 7/31. It is now 8/26 and STILL no beanies (lips & flitter). He HAS contacted me 1x saying that "he hasn't had the time" and the 2ndx he stated that he "would mail priority mail Mon 8-23" On 8/23 thru 8/25 I have emailed him to confirm shipment. He has NOT return emailed YET. Soooo Today 8/26 I did alittle research...OH MY!! I then called (his home #) and spoke with HIS father (John)...He informed me that Derek does ship ALL paid orders, but that he has been experiencing trouble keeping Flitter & Lips in stock....My question to him was, hasn't he heard of listing his auctions as "pre-sale" or COMMUNICATING to thos of us how have PAID for merchandise-that isn't even AVAILABLE. By the way "John (his father) sure knows his beanies, I believe that they are one in the same. John did however ASSURE that Derek would be getting MORE lips & flitters this weekend, And will be filling his back orders. I have NO option but to BELIEVE and WAIT for now.

Have not heard a word.......The transaction was done on ebay auction where he has since been suspended. His name is Roy Hayes and he lives in Calf. His store was called Gambinos. Dereck ripped me off this month. He has had my payment for 3 weeks. I just sent an email to lnaiman@co.la.ca.us to file a complaint against him, as someone suggested. I have called his father and he has done nothing to assist. I was taken for $40 on a Yahoo auction. Will be calling his parents again.

Just to let you know, hewas at it again on eBay with a new ID, gambinos99. He got about 80-90 people last December and this registration is suspended. Surely he will be back with a new ID and the same method of building up a positive feedback before ripping people off again. We have organized the recent group of victims and we are trying to bring him to justice. We have contacted Newspapers, TV stations, and the Los Angeles Police Department. We are getting nowhere as you probably got in your attempts to get some action. The police are recommending the Post Office or Attorney Generals office as the people in charge of this type of crime. If you would like to be included in our email list, please let me know. If you have any other info that would be helpful, let me know. At the moment, we know his name, address, phone number and he is gleefully still going about his business with a blanket of protection from the agencies who are not sure who is supposed to react. For the record, we were involved in a case like this a few months ago, in Northern California, and we convinced the local police to act, and they did so, and that rip off artist is now in jail, so despite what they say, the local police can do something about this. It is not true. I have done nobody wrong

I am among many who have been ripped off by this guy. I won a The End bear on 12/7/99, sent a money order out on 12/9/99. It is now 1/22/00 and still no bear. Check out the bad trader list under Derek Glover of Hacienda Heights CA. He goes by many alias and rips people off. His most recent on Yahoo have been Kennethdog and Kenneth Hayes. He doesn't respond to e-mails and when he does, he claims that the beanie will be shipped, but that he has had problems with them. How can you have problems with items you are auctioning. You are supposed to have them when you put them up for auction. If you have problems with them, you do not auction them. I am in the process of contacting the authorities regarding this guy. Beware...he apparently is still up to no good on various auction sites. If you win an auction and you receive a PO Box address in Hacienda Hts, CA, I would definitely check it out thoroughly before sending any money! He will promptly notify you with payment info and take your money, but will not answer e-mails or ship your items!

I had a bad deal with Kenneth Hayes. He had an auction on Yahoo with his name listed as kennethdog selling 2 The End Beanie Babies. At that point, he had a fairly good seller history so I bid on both of them and won on Dec 6. He had several other auctions going at the same time for many different bears. I mailed him a personal check, as he said he would accept this type of payment in his email. I have only received one bear, packaged alone. I retained all paperwork from the auction, as well as having my check cleared in my statement this month. His signature is on the back. The one beanie he did send was sent December 16, 1999. I filed a fraud report with the Federal Trade Commission and received a letter back from complaint@graywolf.ftc.gov. I was assigned a casenumber of 827210. Nothing has happened since. Since I am disabled, it would be hard for me to get to the post office to register a complaint but I cannot afford to lose the money either. The cost of the The End bear was $18.00 plus shipping of $3.75 for the one I never received. I won it on Yahoo auction #13094669 on Dec 6. The email I rec'd from Kenneth Hayes stated that I should mail the check to his address, P.O. Box 5416 Hacienda Heights, CA 91745. Pls help me. He ruined a Christmas present for my grandchild, but also kept money which would have paid for my food for a week. I notified Yahoo and they said they would investigate and that I should give him a bad rating. That still doesn't get my money back. Please help me. Thank you. With help from many of you, we have ascertained that is Very real name is Derek Glover. The phone is listed under the name John Glover who may be his father. He lives at 2003 Harp Drive in Hacienda Heights with his mother and his phone number is 626-961-8415. You can call him and demand your money back. You can tell his mother what you think of him if he's not home. She is under the impression that Derek makes all his deliveries eventually. Those of you waiting since last April should talk to her. He actually sends a check back in some cases. (Of course, the checks have bounced in at least one case). I have heard from eBay and they tell me they are on this case as well. It looks like I have also been scammed by Derek Glover under the user ID h2012345, mailing address P.O. Box 5416, Hacienda Hts, CA 91745  using the name Joe Low. On Dec. 24 last, I won four auctions for 10 The Ends, 10 Wallace's, 10 Ty2Ks, and 11 '99 Holiday Bears. Each auction was advertised as in stock. Under his e-mail address we0000011111@yahoo.com he promised shipment the first week in January then the second week in January. I called Derek on the phone on 18 January and he said he was putting together letters of apology to everyone he's sold to. He promised that everybody's bears - including mine would be shipped the fourth week of January. It's now 1 February and no letter and no bears. I was suspicious when he wouldn't explain over the phone saying that the letters would give the buyers something concrete from him. From the traderlist comments, you have been successful in the past in helping people to get their bears from Derek. I would appreciate it if you could help me also. Are you aware that the above individual is again on Ebay selling trading cards and other stuff under the name of cabigjohns (abbr.=California Big Johns) I asked him for confirmation of his location, whether he would take a personal check and his phone number so I may discuss with him an order. He gave me the same telephone number that he had before. This is unreal! I cannot believe Ebay has let him back on. I am pasting the response he sent me to the question of his phone number. 626-961-8415 John Are you planning on pursuing this or are we expected to have more fraud in about 5-6 weeks? Am very interested in your response. Many thanks. He has not yet been apprehended on all the claims from Dec. and Jan. I know I have NOT received my order, for which I paid. He is using bigjohnsstuff@aol.com  I was told by Gerald Michitsch of the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office that Ebay was  cooperating on apprehension of this individual. So Derek is still selling on the auctions!!! I can't believe it!!! This guy will be a millionaire before he's thirty!! I wish someone would put him in jail! He owes me money from last December 1999 and also owes many, many more people money... I got an email from him two months ago in response to another of the many I have sent him saying he would send me the money he owes me....but, guess what? I have never received it!! Surprise, surprise!

My son sent Derek Glover a check for $52.10 when he won a bid on ebay for baseball cards. This was in May 2002. We didn't receive any cards so I called Derek on July 16 and asked what was going on. He assured me the card would be sent out the next day. Waited and called the low life on July 29 and he told me he would send a check because he didn't have the cards. Waited and called August 8 he said he would send the check that he forgot. This guy is a crook and I will do everything I can to get even. Beware of Derek.
