On March 5, 2000 I did a deal with Elise Oberthal for a Groovy Buddy. I paid $15 plus shipping (total of $18.20). On March 13 I received a package containing a Goochy Buddy from her. I immediately emailed her to let her know I received the wrong buddy. She responded that she wasn't sure that she didn't say it was a goochy buddy and that I could "never" get a Groovy buddy for that price. I responded to her including her email to me that the "groovy Buddy" was on it's way. I wrote at least two more emails to her with absolutely no response. The next email I wrote I got a message that my screen name was blocked by her that she would not accept email from me. I posted to the Smooth Transaction Board on AOL and was surprised to learn that many others have had problems with her. I have kept copies of all those responses and have copies of the emails between Elise and myself. I had asked for a refund and then I would send the Goochy back to her, etc. but as I stated there has been no response. I asked her why she cashed the money order which said for a Groovy buddy if there were a question about what the deal was and why she shipped it since my correspondence said Groovy and she was shipping a Goochy. Why did her last correspondence say the Groovy was on the way.

EOBERTHAL (AKA : BEABIELOVER6 ) is not new to scamming people.

This above women scammed 11 of us last year in April. She shorted me on our trade 2 beanies last Oct. .. one had a hole and it was leaking beans. Also she mailed 9 weeks late after I mailed to her!!!!The post office and her attorney generals office did nothing as they claimed she sent out her end. I feel she did not as she advertised 100% MINT BEANIES WITH MINT TAGS. And all we all got in the mail were dirty filthy beanies and she shorted each of us beanies in our boxes. My beanies actually had dirt on them and were tagless !!!!! They reeeked of smoke and didnt even get mailed out to me for 9 weeks after she got my mint 1997 beanies.

oK i TOLD THIS PERSON TO RETURN THE BUDDY TO ME AND i WILL REFUND THE MONEY AND I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THE BUDDY..I SAID UPON RECEIPT OF THIS BUDDY I WILL MAIL A MONEY ORDER OR GROOVY BUDDY AS SHE SAID SHE WANTS GROOVY AND I WENT AND GOT ONE SO I WILL MAIL WHEN GOOCHY DOES ARRIVE AND AS FOR ME BEING REPORTED TO THE POLICE MY HUSBAND IS A COP AND I DO NOTHING WRONG....I TOLD THIS PERSON I HAD GOOCHY AND THEY AGREED THAT WAS WHAT THEY WANTED AND NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN IT IS GROOVY????WELL I DID NOTHING WRONG AND I AM WILLING TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM......NOW YOU SAY YOU KNOW THE STORY? ARE YOU THIS PERSONS FRIEND? I AM SENDING THIS TO STEVE CASE AND HE WILL TELL ME WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH HER OK

Elise has never told me to return the Goochy buddy. As you will see from the attached emails, I went out and purchased another one already. She has blocked my email and I can't email her at all. I do not trust this woman because she has outright lied about emailing me. If need be I'll tell you how you can access my account and you can look at everything in it from files I've downloaded to email to whatever you need. I am very reluctant to send the Goochy buddy back to her until I have the money in my hand. From the other note I sent to you, you can see I already went out and purchased another Groovy Buddy. I don't need any more. I also think she sould pay the return postage and charges because I would definitely send it so I can have a receipt that it was sent. I also don't trust her in that I believe she'll say I damaged it and want money in return. As you can see, I am extremely skeptical of this woman. Again she has outright lied even to you. Do you have any suggestions as how this can be done so everybody gets what they are supposed to get and no trumped up accusations will come about? Please let me know.Dennis

Tell her to give me a time to mail and I will mail ger Groovy the day she mails goochy ok

March 30  I will give her the refund WHEN I receive the buddy I mean how can I mail the money when she has the buddy...tell her to contact me than  Elise

I can't email her as she has blocked my email.

Thanks for the info. This woman has already been banned from our website (last year) ... a1-traders.com due to excessive complaints - just as yours. I will say this - I'll bet anything she will not make good on whatever she is supposed to - she ignores - and I say this with MANY others that she has taken from. It's sad - huh? I bought a Lt. Blue Peanut Buddy for $30.00 Shipped which was confirmed on  3-07-00 I mailed the Postal M.O. on 3-08-00. I also made a deal with 2 other people that I mailed to the same day. She ask me if I wanted to make a lot of money on-line somehow and when I said I was not interested that I had just lost my Mother and was not ready to deal with everyday things yet, that's when she changed. When I received the other two deals I had made I started to wonder about her's so I e-mail and ask when she mailed it and was told 3-16-00 and that made me wonder why she waited 8 days to mail when I had already got the other 2 deals. she has called me names saying I received it and I want the money to. When I told her I had no reason to do that and reminded her that I had just lost my Mother and did not want to play games I just want the buddy or my money back. She called me names and told me everyone looses there Mother so get over it and grow up life goes on. I think she is cruel and I just want this over with, but I have no intention of letting her do this to someone else without trying to stop her. My post office said she has to do it I can't. I mailed her the lt blue peanut and she did not want it insured or anything so now you say AGAUIN it is ME? Well let me tell you this is getting totally out of hand I am mailing her ANOTHER lt blue peanut and this time I will have her sign for it so I have the proof I need. I think you need to stop worrying about other people and get your facts straight...how can you take someones side and you never knew either of us? I am really getting fed up with this nonsense and Anne needs to grow up as I sent it the Posyt Office never returned anything so what am I to do? I said since it was not all my fault I will go half and she refused now lets see how she will deny it when she signs...what other tale will sdhe come up with???
