I paid $85 through PayPal for a mwmt Libearty beanie baby to Yodas 77@aol.com (also known as Malibucats@aol.com and Falalagal@aol.com). I received an empty Express Mail box in the mail. The box had not been tampered with and there was no way an item could have been taken from it. When I contacted Yodas77, she accused me of trying to rip her off and refused to read any e-mails from me. I filed a complaint through PayPal and they suspended her account. I also contacted cautionlist. Cautionlist emailed her on 10-3 and she said she would refund. She was motivated to clear up her account with PayPal and they told her she had to refund my $85 within 24 hours. She did this (after some hassle...she claimed her account was still suspended, but I called PayPal and made sure it wasn't).

Anyway, the moral is:

1) Always use PayPal to make purchases online

2) Do not deal with this Yodas77@aol.com, Malibucats@aol.com or Falalagal@aol.com. Her name is Emma Reece, but she also uses Bret Merritt. The address is Georgetown Rd. in Norfolk, VA

we might have a problem again with a scammer. we answered a add on knk boards from a girl by the name of Logan Reece. her email address is ethecat4me@aol.com, she is selling 2 libaerty beanies w/tags. well we answered her post she is asking $70.00 each for the beanies. also stated she had not had them authenticated.

I went to paypal account, and did everything i was suppose to do in sending her the $140.00 for 2 libearty beanies.@$70.00 each. when i requested a receipt via email from paypal when it came back the email address was for yodas77@aol.com and from checking on knk under this email address i found out she has 4 negitives for selling fake beanies to people I have emailed her 2 times now to ask her to please re-send the money back to my paypal account, telling her i was overdrawn on the account and i could mail a money order, and i havent heard from her. please let me know if you can help

She will not answer her emails. also she has been suspended on the knk boards for this reason also suspended on collecting nation she is from Norfolk Va. also banned from smart collectingshe is also not a registered user on ebay but does have 2 negitives and 7 nuterals I can not see how amy at knk can let her have another email address to sell on the boards again. surely she has the same address when filling out the application to register on the knk boards. please let me know if you can help

Boy, what a blast from the past. She sent me a fake Garcia. I did receive mine, but when I checked it real close it was fake. After I sent my beanies and before hers arrived I got to checking feedback(which I should have done before) I had only checked the site she gave me.(ebay) But when I checked closer I found she had been suspended from CN and KNK. But she wasn't using yodas as her email addy on my trade. I asked her to return my beanies and at first she said no, then said she would. I made the mistake of telling her I woldn't send hers back until I received mine. That made her mad and she refused to send first. I even tried to go through a mediater, but she never answered me. With alot of digging and help from others she had scammed, we got her suspended from KNK and EBAY. She was using 5 different addresses on KNK. For months I watched and she would pop up again, using a different email. On ebay she made her feedback private(which should be a red flag to anyone) If you go to KNK and look up her feedbck you see she has been suspended. It really makes me mad that she is still getting away with this. When I was going through my mess, I was in contact with several others she did the same to.The names she used when we were dealing are:

thank you for letting me know she wasnt suspended anylonger on paypal. right after i received your email she emailed me and told me my money should be in paypal and as i was reading her email i got a email from paypal saying i have cash Emma Reece just sent you $140.00 so she did get it back to me, boy i dont know what you said but it worked. I was wondering someone should get a web site where when someone has older beanies like this and they sell fake beanies and it reflects that on their feedback, there should be a place where the buyer sends their money and the person sends their beanie/s and the moderator checks for authenticity and if the beanie/s are fake they keep the beanie and send the buyer back their money. this way the beanie doesnt get passed back and forth and so many people dont have to go thru all this mess. I know we should ask for guarantees and if they would send it off but alot of people dont have that kind of money to have them authenticated so they take their chances on buying fakes. that would be nice for something like that. We really appriceate everything again that you have done for us, and is there anything we can do for you?  Also I have a question. who would i email on ebay about this situation? i think if alot of people complain about unverified members on their site maybe they would start posting their feedback. i have checked on a few other people who i was interested in their adds and there feedback was just like Emma's you cant see feedback unless you email the person and get their permission. that i think i wrong. that to me someone is hiding something. but thank you again penny and coy

She has made good on the counterfiet trap the mouse i purchased from her some months back. Emma went to paypal and sent us the $100.00 we paid her for the beanie. She was very applogitic and sincere about making good on the counterfiet beanie. We are also keeping the counterfiet beanie to be taken to the church where we go along with a few other beanies for the kids to have for their playtime. my complaint is listed nov. 6, 2000. well just want to say tat i finally got my money back from emma reece. 130.00 for 2 fake libeartys, but it took from oct. 2000 till now to get it, and a lot of greif. i got in touch with local police in nj, state police in va, have the detectives name if anyone is interested, filed a complaint with post office, consumer affairs, got in touch with all sites that she dealt with and got in touch with the fraud site and filed complaint. i don't know what made her change her mind but if she keeps selling fakes she will be in a lot of trouble and she always says that you are threatening her or harassing her, not so just told her everything that i did and who i contacted. but i finally got my money. al i can say is f you do decide to deal with her,be very cautious. fran

I just wanted to say that I have tried and am still refunding the individuals that have posted a complaint about receiving a replica from me. I have never stated them as authentic but I assume some people dont completely read the full info. I am in the process of helping everyone with a complaint but would like to say that all you need to do is be nice. The threats do not get anyone anywhere and frankly are not needed. Just discovered complaints against Emma Reece. Luckily they were in time to avoid losing money. She is selling on ebay under the ID of dayzes and is registered as Jordii Reece of Hampton, VA 757-827-9967.

As a follow up to my earlier post concerning dayzes, registered as Jordii Reece: What Emma is now doing is telling the first bidder on her auction that they can have the beanie but must transfer the money from paypal BEFORE she will cancel the auction. Anyone falling for this is a fool. After you pay the money there is absolutely nothing to stop her from canceling your bid and the auction. That leaves you without fraud protection from ebay and you can't complain to ebay because as far as they are concerned the auction never was completed! You can't even leave negt. feedback on her! Be Careful.

I would like to report a bad trader on Ebay that I purchased Beanie Babies from. I sent Beanies to Pbbags Inc. it was a fake. I have a signed letter from that company stating that fact. I have contacted seller many times but she will not refund my money and have since not responded to my emails. The 90 day limit has passed.  Here is the information that I have on the seller.

This person sold me a #1 beanie bear for $50 shipped in August of 2002. When it arrived, I just put it with my collection, until a friend looked it over and suggested I get it looked. And, guess what it is a fraud. Have e-mailed this person for a refund and was told to send back COD. Now, this person has stopped answering my e-mails all together.
