Myself and several others have been scammed by Infamousdon at unity@dcsi.net. He was pre-selling buddies on ebay that were to be delivered no later than Dec 15th or full refund plus 20%. None of us have received our product or refund. We have been emailing and phoning and have gotten no response whatsoever. Please be aware of him. Known addresses are Chico, CA and Antioch, CA. When I contacted ebay, I was given two different cities. I do have a phone number, but all you get is a recording. He has made a lot of money off of us as many people ordered 2 and 3 buddies at 115-150 each. I don't know how he sleeps at night. I hope you can be of assistance. I have heard rumors that he is again operating on ebay under another name, but so far I haven't got confirmation on that. His old account unity@....is no longer active. I won a presale for a Britannia and a aple Buddy. They wre two seperate presales by the same person. I won these autons on October 9th and 10th. I have printouts of the auctions notices and verification that he in fact received my check as well as some correspondence I sent to him asking about the deal. His name is Eric Mattson,2770 Eaton Rd. #89, Chico, Ca 95973. His user ID on ebay is infamousdon and his email address is unity@dcsi.net. I mailed a personal check for $225.05 for both Buddys and shippig and it cleared in October. I have writte several times requestin he let me know the status of the Buddys and he has never answered. The Buddys were to be received by December 15th or a full refund plus 20%. I can't even get a response from him. I wrote on 12/27 and told him I was getting ready to go to the local police with my printouts and I believed this could be considered fraud and still no answer. I am a a total loss as to what to do. I have tried to be very nice with my emails and even told him late was ok if he would just let me know when they would be shipped. Can you please help me? I have no idea what to do now and people like this should not be allowed on the nternet. I am really surprised because other than one period of time his feedback was good. Thank you for your time. Please add this person to the bad trader list. The police have been contacted already, and I'll send more info when I have it. According to the police in the victim's town, they tried to get a phone number for him and were told there was no such person and no such address. His email from me is not being returned, so I will continue to email him about this.

On 10/9/99 I purchased a Britannia Buddy in an auction on e-bay from Eric Mattson AKA Infamousdon at unity @dcsi.net. I sent Eric $80.00 plus $8.00 for shipping. I have sent him 10 e-mails none of which he has taking the time to respond to. Eric, guaranteed delivery of the pre-sale purchase before Dec. 15th or a full refund plus 20% of the sale. He also stated that the shippment was 100% guranteed and will be there on time. Well, Dec. 15th has come and gone and I have NOT received the Britannia Buddy from ERIC nor have I receive a refund as promised. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM with the business ethics he has.  He has demonstrated that he does not care about the other person. He continues to state that he is a fire fighter and that he goes out town to fight fires.WHAT about the inconvience to the people who's money he has taken. If that is the case then he needs someone to take care of his business arragements if and when he is out of town. I sure hope he does not fight fires like he does business. Linda

I just received a MO from Eric on Friday with a big sob story. I won't be filing with the postal service as I see no need now. I do thank everyonefor their help i this though. I don't think he would have sent a refund if not for all of you helping me.Thanks again, Jean

Thank you for the posting on the BadTrader List. would you believe I got a refund from him on Saturday in the mail. I do not know if everyone has received the refund or not. I had filed an internet fraud and mail fraud claim and perhaps others had too. This could be why the sudden refund. At any rate, you helped us to get this resolved by getting other people to file claims etc. and I appreciate that very much. Too often people sit back and go "someone else will do it". In this case, I think you helped push the rest.
