BEWARE: I purchased a Sakura and a Nipponia from SKYBLUWORLD via eBay on 6/6/01. After a close inspection of these beanies, they were COUNTERFEITS! I immediately contacted SKYBLUWORLD, and gave them the benefit of the doubt..just incase it was an accident. They assured me they were going to check their stock...replace the counterfeits with authentics...etc. To date, they have responded to only a couple of my emails, with lame promises...but I have not gotten my refund or replacement beanies. It has almost been 2 months now...with multiple emails from me, as well as phone messages. This dealer does not respond well to emails...and does not respond at all to phone messages. They have recently been suspended from eBay...but I'm sure they will surface again.
DO NOT BUY FROM SKYBLUWORLD...they are definitely SCAM ARTISTS...and I'm
out a fair chunk of hard-earned cash.

I did not knowingly buy from a counterfeiter. I absolutely would not have bought from him if I had known this, but like was stated in the email I received, I saw him feedback # and thought he was legitimate. The address he gave me to mail payment to was:

I thought it strange when I received the package the retirn address label
was from a woman, but unfortunately I did not keep the package it came in.
Is there anything else I can do to help? I hope they are apprehended because
I like to bid on ebay- I bid a lot- and this discourages me because I am
wary who ifs honest although this is only my 2nd bad experience. Good

I did look on the link you gave--> It gives a description for fake
Sakura--> that is what I have--> Also, I got info on hang tags-->
The hang tags on the beanies I bought all have jagged edges--> the gold
rims are bubbling on 1 of them--> I thought I paid alot of money for these
3 beans $160?!?! For your future information--> the contact name I was
given was Fernando Macedo--> the beans did come from California-->
I'm not sure where in California--> do you know someone who can look at
the beans and tell for sure? I called Ty, but they were not much help. Buyer

I was referred to contact you by michiko robison. i have a situation with a business person on ebay that i may need help with. please advise me to what my course of action should be. ON thur 7/5 i won an auctin on ebay from a skybluworld@aol.com name Fernando Macedo. i bid on this auction because he pretty good feedback like5 negs in 600 rating. after the auction ended i immediately paid paypal 33.00. the total cost for nipponia with shipping. i sent an email to macedo introducing myself and letting him know i made payment and gave my address. i asked him to please contact me on when he would ship. i did not hear from him until friday evening. friday after noon i sent him another email telling him to contact me regarding shipment. he replied that he didnt mail on weekends and that he had just then recieved notice of my payment.
On Sunday evening 7/8 he sent me a letter requesting payment so he could
ship. i already paid him on 7/5 in full. I contacted him again 3 times and
did not hear from him till Monday 7/9. In which he was very rude and informed
me he was not shipping nipponia till this was resolved. he didnt answer any
of my questions on why he was asking for payment again and he did not say
it was a mistake he saw i had paid or anything. I sent him 3 emails this
morning demanding he get in touch with me concerning this for him to either
pay my money back to paypal (I will not wait for a money order) or to send
the bear with a delivery confirmation. Since this incident started i noticed
when you go to his name on ebay now it says hes an unregistered user. so
i read about what that means and i read his feedback. he seems to have the
five negatives with people like me with low ratings. they all complain about
his rudeness, slow or no emails and no product. he states all his items are
mint and guarenteed of full purchase price will be refunded and it has his
phone number as 909-321-0138 please tell me what i should do.

I did what you said and paypal sent him a claim to reverse my money from his account so he paid it. but this is really weird.........this saturday i rec a hero bear in a bubble envelope...couldnt figure out who it was from .......because the return address says

I bid on a Splash the Whale and Snowball the Snowman. I won both of them,
unfortunately they sent me a Snowball and a 1998 Bear. I have repeatedly
and for the correct item to be sent and even offered to post the Bear back.
They keep saying that they have sent it or ask for my address again. Anne

I wanted to update everyone on the results of my efforst with Skybluworld
from eBay. After multiple emails, he finally agreed to refund my money. But,
it took several weeks...and a lot of pressure from my side. The last email
I sent him explicitly listed the things I would do if the money was not in
my bank by a certain date. I was very, very specific...including listing
the form # used to file internet fraud charges. I did this so that he would
understand that I was not bluffing and had full intentions of pressing charges.
If you find yourself in a similar situation...where he sold you counterfeit
beanies...won't respond to emails...won't respond to voice messages...I would
suggest that you do the same thing I did. Send an email every day...be very
specific regarding what you expect...and what will happen if he does not
honor your request. Keep copies of all communication you send him or receive
from him to provide authorities with a paper trail. It's really amazing that
he was suspended from eBay after I informed him that I had received counterfeits.
Originally, he acted like a victim. If that were true...he would have been
more than willing to make things right...and would not have kept putting
me off for weeks at a time. Bottom line, do your homework...be persistent...and
then follow through if he does not comply. He guaranteed his stuff to be
authentic...that spells mail fraud when he sends counterfeits! Good luck
in recouping your losses.

Previously suspended Fernando Mercado (skybluworld on ebay) is selling fake
beanies fast a furious as tubbs212 and has feedback over 500, mixing in authentic
commons to build Feedback. DO NOT BUY radar, coral, Maple, Sakura, Libearty,
etc -- older or international bears from this seller. They are all counterfeit.
This crook managed to con Ebay into removing all his negative feedback!!!!
COMPLAIN -- get him suspended. Any seller with unlimited supplies of ALL
MINT, MWMT beanies retired in 1997--all are fakes, no exceptions. REAL beanie
sellers have a mix of tagless and creased tag beanies ---obviously!

I puchased a beanie off of ebay from tubbs212. It was a garcia beanie
item#1701644570. I decided to send it to Peggy Gallagher Enter. and found
out it was a fake. I got intouch with seller and was told to send it back
with copy of verification itwas a fake and I would be given a full refund.
Seller was very cooperative through everything. After I returned beanie I
didn't hear anything from seller so I emailed and they asked for me to request
a refund and kept asking for things I had already done. I sent them back
4 different emails asking for refund and sending copies of item# and things
that stated if I wasn't satisfied I would be refunded. Still no reply from
seller. I filed a fraud report with ebay and I don't know if there is anything
else I can do. If there is I would love to know!!

I am writing to you as you have helped advise me in the past over a problem with a seller on ebay. I am writing now not particularly to complain as such but..
I entered into a purchase from an ebay user called TUBBS212@aol.com. The
feedback was all positive high number. I checked on traderlist..no listing.
So I thought it would be safe. The date of purchase was 31st January 2002.
I paid by paypal and didnt receive my goods. After 30 days or so, and lots
of emails I had my money refunded. I was lucky. I checked out the feedback
and all seened ok until a couple of weeks ago, when I noticed she was "suspended"
and "not a registered user". On checking Traderlist today, for someone else,
I just thought I would check TUBBS212 out and saw that she is now on your
caution boards, as from 18th February. What Idont understand is that on reading
the complaints against her, they were made last year in july and August!
If this person was obviously under suspicion as long ago as that, my question
is, Why did it take so long to be suspended from Ebay and put on your caution
list? Please dont get me wrong, I am not making a complaint, but I do use
your traderlist regularly, as I buy and trade frequently, and I consider
high feedback, and your lists as a good guide to safe practise on the internet.
Please pass this letter on to whoever can reply, incase I have sent it to
you by mistake. Thanks for your help and support in the past and future!

During the last part of February 2002, I spent a great deal of time bidding
on and winning 53 beanies from this person. After the auctions ended I sent
payment (265.75) by Paypal. The description in the auctions promised next
day shipping from Paypal payment. Payment was sent on 3/2/2. When I received
no beanies I emailed for status, then emailed again about a week later. After
much research I have discovered this list and found Tubbs212 on there.....I
am sunk....just wanted everyone to know. Jan Taylor

Already known bad trader on traderlist does it again!!.. bought the Jackass
DVD from him on ebay..sent him money through paypal, and from then on I never
heard from him again.. sent him a lot of emails, but never gotten a response..
anyone else been had this by guy again??
