I'm writing to report a group of users on Yahoo Auctions. I'll try to
make this as short as possible, but there is alot of information. The basics
are as follows: There is a ring of sellers on Yahoo working together to sell
fake beanies. There are 18 user IDs total, 7 email addresses that they use,
and ONE P.O. Box address. They bid on their own auctions to hike up the price
(admitted to me in an email), pad their feedback by writing feedback for
each other, and all the beanies they sell are counterfeit. I'm not the type
of person to make random accusations. I've done my research, and written
email to various people that they've scammed on Yahoo to verify my information.
Through emails, I've been able to obtain the names they use for the PO Box.
Those names are Charlotte Gannon, C. P. Gannon, David L. Gannon, Kim Martin,
G. Martin, and Jessica Cason. I've also been able to obtain two physical
addresses. Those are 2110 22nd Ave, Gulfport MS 39501 and 2255 Switzer Rd
Apt #104, Gulfport MS 39507. I won an auction on Yahoo by a user going by
the ID of dac22nd. It was for a Libearty Beanie Baby bear, "authenticity
not guaranteed". One of the people that was bidding against me was a user
ID cknlips1. I usually check out my competition to see if I'm going to get
into a bidding war. So I checked the user ID cknlips1's history, or feedback.
Turns out that this person also has a Libearty Beanie up for auction. Funny
thing was, the wording on the auction was almost identical. So, being curious,
I bid on that auction, as well. I won both auctions. First dac22nd sent me
an email from dac22nd@aol.com, asking that I send $120.00 to C. P. Gannon,
P.O. Box 984, Gulfport, MS 39502. I did send a reply that I wasn't comfortable
with sending money to a PO Box, that I would prefer a physical address. They
replied back saying they used a PO Box because they lived right on a street
and had trouble with kids and the mail, but if I really wanted it, they would
send me their physical address. In the meantime, I had won the other
auction and received an email from the seller user ID cknlips1,
crazman52@aol.com, asking that I send $132.00 to C. P. Gannon, P. O. Box
984, Gulfport, MS 39502.
Following is a list of all the user IDs they use. The * next to some are
the one's I've verified through email. The others verified by what email
address they used for auctioning. Underneath each username is a list of feedback
that they've left on each other. Pics means they've used the same pictures
as one or several of the other user IDs.

IDs, but uses same pics and bids on the other user IDs auctions * cknlips1
- crazman52@aol.com feedback - none yet. This is the auction that started
it all. He admitted to me in an email that they bid on their own auctions.
I had won two auctions, by different user IDs, and they both wanted me to
send the money to the same P.O. Box address. This one had bid against me
on dac22nd's auction. I will leave feedback after reporting this to Yahoo
and the Bad Trader's List, with URL beachlover38 - crash312@aol.com feedback
- none yet, but uses same pics bearing_me - feedback - jaybyrd079, tired93.
Always bids on these user ID auctions.

bids on their auctions
The reason I've listed these out the way I did is so the reader can see the
consistency of the same users leaving feedback on each other, and the email
addresses of each. Now, the ones without the asterisks I can not say I'm
100% sure of, because I wasn't able to obtain email addresses on them. Let's
say I'm 99.9% sure. Myself and every other honest buyer on Yahoo would very
much appreciate you looking into this situation, and hopefully banning them
from Yahoo forever. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you
for your time, and for the long read. Judi Goodall hitorq@knology.net

I have been working with Judi on these sellers. I purchased a counterfeit
Libearty bear from dac22nd@aol.com Yahoo auction 10096039.I sent 95.00$.
The address I mailed payment to was C>P>Gannon,PO Box 984,Gulfport,MS
39502.After receiving the bear and realizing it was totally fake I began
looking at other auctions for Libearty. dac22nd was bidding on an auction
for Libearty. The bid was more than he offered for the the fake. I went to
the "Ask Seller Questions Box "and ask why he was bidding on a Libearty bear
after just selling me one. Then I saw his bid on another Libearty bear site
and ask if he was bidding on his own auction.as the location was the same
Gulfport,MS. I never received a reply!I left negative feedback on his user
ID at Yahoo and that is how Hi Torq contacted me. Apparently she had more
encuonters with this group(or individuals) and has done a lot more homework
than I as I'm not that computer litterate.I tried to contact dac22nd again
stating that his product was totally fake and I beleived he had bid against
himself or someone do it for him to run up the bid. I did receive a general
reply that auction stood as stated. Please but this seller on the Bad trader
list as he is obviously out to make a profit with his ill intentions. I intend
to post negative feedback at every user site and address for this person
or persons. I would also appreciate some negative coment to Yahoo auctions
who have simply ignored my coplaint to investigate this issue. I was not
as concerned about the product being fake as I was with the unethical procedures
of this seller. He deserves to be blacklisted. he ?they have several user
names and bid on their own auctions to run up the bidding. This is truly
despicitable. What about the young kids who search for their wanted beanie
and get involved with these dishonest people trying to make a dishonest
dollar. Thanks much for your help. kathym92084

Response from: dac22nd@aol.com
I am sorry Mrs. Montgomery is unhappy with her beanie purchase. As explained
to her before she decided to buy it, I was not the original owner and
authenticity could not be guaranteed. All this information was in the auction
description and Mrs. Montgomery was aware of it before she decided to bid.
I did not know if the bear was authentic then and still don't. I was as clear
as I could have been regarding the status of this bear.

Comments: I was matched with Gary Martin on my bid to purchase a Britannia
Buddie on Meta Exchange!! But after I checked the bad traderslist, I discovered
he was on there, so I emailed Meta telling them of my discovery and received
a return email from them saying that Gary had over 100 trades and none were
involved with negative feedback!! Shortly thereafter Gary has left negative
feedback for me dropping my quantative feedback to 4+!! So I again emailed
Meta asking them about the feedback since he was already a bad trader and
I was not!! Why then could he ruin my good standing and there was nothing
I could do about it!! Meta said that they were only concerned with their
board and did not care what had happened on any others and that he was entitled
to leave any feedback that he saw fit on the transaction!! And he firmly
said that he only wanted feedback from me concering the trade on Meta and
nothing else..especially from any other boards!! So be careful on this board!!
One never knows who is lurking on these boards...protected by them with feedback
left for each other so that we trust who we are dealing with!! I am sure
glad that I checked the traderslist before sending any payment! Feedback
I can always rebuild!!

traders_name: Gary Martin, et. al. Comments: Update: This buyer is STILL sending me threatening emails. Has emailed all my previous customers accusing me of all kinds of things......He has slandered my good name on ebay and on the internet. He has been reported by me to the proper authorities. Again, don't fall for his "buy and switch" plan. He buys all his beanies on ebay, then sells them on yahoo and amazon......How does a legitimate "seller" get all those hard to find overseas limited beanies in such quantity? And how come all his maples he buys on ebay, end up on Yahoo...And how come he uses the same maple photo on all his auctions he sells? Because, he would never dare use the photo of his actual maples because his customers he scammed on ebay would know! If you have had trouble dealing with Gary Martin and his cohorts, please email me! Thanks, Grace
Update: I gave him a refund despite the fact that he scammed me. I was
told that this was the best course of action to "get rid of him" and to file
mail fraud charges. I have not unfortunately gotten rid of him. He emails
me at least 10 times a day with threatening letters. Here is his
latest......Nice, huh??? Charges have been filed. Buyers BEWARE!!! From:

Now, now. I don't want you to get too upset this lovely Monday morning.
Things have been going too good today for you to be so nasty. I'm not upset
at all. Things couldn't be better. If you notice, as far as beanies go, all
I sell are guaranteed AUTHENTIC and mint beanies. I've been doing it for
quite a while and obviously know more about them than you do. That's why
it was so easy to spot the fake you tried to pass off on me. I haven't yet
received an authentic 4th generation Maple. I guess expecting yours to be
any different was wishful thinking. You either didn't know it was a fake
or are a crook. It's one or the other but the way you reacted when you got
caught makes me think you knew it is a fake. Anyway, keep you temper down
or your blood pressure will rise. I don't want anything to happen to you.
This is too much fun! HAVE A GREAT MONDAY! I AM! I'm glad to see you're
reading and returning my emails. Many times you said you weren't. I knew
you couldn't stand it.
