My bad dealing is with Gary Lawson (gtlawso@aol.com). He resides in Cincinnati Ohio I sent him $73.90 for 2 Pierre beanie babies and have got nothing but excuses. Here is the info. Purchased from KNK on 8/29. Sent me his mailing information on 8/30. I mailed money order on 8/31. After not receiving it I emailed him and was told he would email on 9/10. Still nothing. Now is son said he was in an accident and his son would try to mail everything out. I have been doing some more research on him and find he has bad dealings on other sites. When I checked your site, which I ALWAYS DO now, there was and is nothing listed about him. From what I have read on other sites, he is a BAD person. Can you help. I have saved all emails to and from him, if you need them, I will be happy to forward them.
Oh, by the way, AOL had him listed in their registery and it gave me his address (which I already had) and his phone number. I even left message on answering machine.

Finally, after I kept writing him daily, he instant messaged me during the next week, (not for sure what day, as I did not save this message) saying the beanie would be mailed the next morning. I waited several more days and still no beanie. I went to EBAY, and had a letter generated thought that site to see if that would help. I got his telephone number from the Internet using his mailing address and I phone and left a message on his answering machine,
That same night, (after I had left a phone message) I received an email from his 15 year old son , wanting to know who I was and what hid dad owed me. This is when he said his dad had a bad car accident and he was trying to sort out his emails for him.Then a day later, I got and email from Jeanne saying she was Gary's mother and a beanie would be sent to be in a day or two. Also, I found if quite strange, that the son and mother both used same typing mistakes that Gary did, using all lower case letters when responding.
The last response from anyone was on 9/20/01 (at 3:12 a.m.)
Please let me know what I need to do to try to receive my money or my Pierre Beanie from Gary Lawson.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am writing to you about a trader that I feel needs to be put on your bad trader caution list. His name is Gary Lawson and his email is gtlawso@aol.com .
I answered a post of his at KNK on 8/29. He had advertised Pierres for $35 each. I agreed to buy two and Gary confirmed that he would ship as soon as payment arrived. On 8/30 I purchased a money order for $74.35 for two Pierres shipped priority mail with delivery confirmation. I was hoping to get the money to Gary before the Labor day weekend so I sent it Priority mail with delivery confirmation. I also emailed Gary to let him know that I had mailed. Wouldn't you know that the tracking system only shows that I mailed it with no delivery date. I've tracked a lot of packages and have found that sometimes they are not scanned at delivery.
After one week I started emailing Gary to confirm receipt of money and check status of Pierre. I emailed 9/7, 9/11, 9/14, and 9/17 with no response. I told him on 9/14 that if I didn't hear I would begin tracking the money order. On 9/17 I started an inquiry at the post office on the money order. On 9/19 I posted a Bad Trader Alert on the KNK board after seeing someone else had done the same. That same day I got an email from Gary's son saying his dad was in the hospital and he was trying to sort through the emails to straighten things out. He wanted to know what I was waiting on from his dad. I told him and made it clear that I wanted a reply. I wanted my money back or my bears as well as a tracking number if he wanted me to continue to wait. I heard nothing back from him. On 9/21 I sent another email. Today he (the son?) he replied that he hadn't emailed me because I had been nasty by stating that I found it hard to believe Gary was injured. He said he was doing his best and they are on their way. Perhaps they will arrive in a few days but I did pay for a tracking number and was very clear that without it I would not accept the "in the mail" statement. Today Gary's mother posted the same sort of post at KNK as the son. Saying that Gary is in the hospital and she is trying to fix things. Which hospital? I think we would all be more patient if we had some proof he was hurt. I've seen other posts that Gary has used the car accident excuse before.
I have tried to remain calm but the longer this drags out the more upset I get. Gary had at least one full week to ship before this accident. I think I read somewhere that this accident happened on the 14th. At the very least Gary could have responded to one of the first two emails I sent but he didn't. Some people may think that if I get my items then he is not a bad trader. I don't agree. A good trader does what they say they will do. Gary promised to ship as soon as the money was received. He did not. So no matter how it turns out I think he deserves to be listed as a bad trader. Please add my name to the list of traders with complaints against one Gary Lawson.

I am again asking for your help as to how to go about this situation. A month ago I made a transaction with Gary Lawson from Ohio. I sent a Sakura beanie for $94 shipped. I still have not recieved payment. He doesn't respond to his email. Once his son responded back saying his father was in the the hospital. Then his mother emailed saying she would take care of it and still hasn't.
I think I should start a fraud case. How do I go about it? Thanks for your help.

Problem resolved!! With the help from Pat who advised me to file complaints with the Attorney General of Ohio, I finally received payment via Paypal from Gary. The Attorney sent a letter to Gary and requested a response with in ten days. Thank you Pat and the other people for communicating with me as to what was happening with their transaction with Gary.

I finally got my refund for the 2 Pierre's. I had to get the Post Office to refund the money from the money order. I am still out the cost of the money order, mailing, canceling money order charge!

I really hate to ask for help, but I guess I need it, and I hope you can help. My deal started with Gary on 8-1-01.
8-3-01 I sent out money order.
8-13-01 he sent out package. (supposedly) never could give me conf. #. send p.o. at the airport must have forgot to scan it.|
9-10-01 still no package. I asked for my money back. No response.
9-24-01 got an email from barbara hollingsworth (gary's mother?). She said he was in an accident and she was authorized by him to settle up. She asked for my mailing info. and what I wanted to do. I sent my mailing info. and requested a refund of my $54 money order. Got nothing.
10-7-01 sent another inquiry out to them. No response.

There were many other emails which I sent to them, some I have and some I don't. The last email I received from Gary himself was on 11-23-01 in which he said he would mail out a money order on Monday. My mistake was thinking he was sending 1 to ME. ha ha ha. I have emailed periodically to him since then, WITH NO REPLY. Please can you help me. Just want my $54 back.
