I entered into a trade with George Tetrick of Louisville, Kentucky (email: G402@webtv.net) on Saturday, April 20 and we agreed to mail on Monday, April 22nd. He emails at the end of the week that he had recieved my package; and the following Monday, the 29th, I received his package; however, one of the items was missing, Luke Buddy! I have emailed him four times now in the past 2 weeks without success! Basically, he sent 4 of the 5 items we agreed to in our trade. I have kept all our emails, and the priority box which he sent me. I did check his references, and he had no feedback on KNK or CN; but had 5 positives on Smart Collecting. I have feedback under my email address on all three of those sites. Here is his complete address:
George Tetrick
2505 Brownsboro Road, #D8
Louisville, Kentucky 40206
I did, as advised, posted asking if anyone had traded with him and received one response. Their trade did not go smoothly and she requested he return her item which she wrote that he evidently did. Please let me know how to proceed from here; and of course, if he responds to any of my emails in the meantime, I will notify you immediately. Thank you for your assistance. Mona
May 13 Later: As recommended, I posted to see if others had traded with George Tetrick and from those responding to my posts, quite a few people had problems with their trades with him and also they informed me that George had been suspended from several sites!! I write just to let you know that I finally heard from him tonight; and apparently he is going to send part of my items back to me which will be acceptable with me.I just wanted to keep you posted. I will let you know if he does not send them back. Below is the email he sent to me today. Thank you, Mona

Mona----What in the hell is this!!! I recieved the attached message
sometime today, which i just got home TODAY after being in and out of town
for the past two weeks, most of which has been out of town, and have not
been online hardly at all, but spending my time between work and helping
to care for terminally ill mother! I have no clue as to what item
you are referring to as not haveing been recieved! But at the same
time i have not had time to sifer through my back log of messages that have
been recieved while attending to things that i deem to be at the most priority
at this point in my life. That being spending most of whatever time i might
have available to share with my terminally ill mother, and not on beanies!
I do apologize Mona, for not being able to keep up with my online messages
lately, and equally as much for the oversight of whatever item you say, was
not in the package i sent to you! IF you would mind letting me what the item
is, so that i may save some time in trying to go through all these backlogged
messages to see if i might be able to know what all this about and correct
this oversight! You are unreal Mona! Assumeing and makeing prejudgements
about people! In reading through the attached message below, i see
that you say that Luke Buddie is the item that was not included in the package,
Which it should have been sent as i had it clearly marked to be sent with
the other items, all of which were together. And must have been overlooked
by a friend of mine who completed packageing and sending 5 packages for me,
due to me haveing been called to take care of more important and crucial
matters....... This i am sorry for Mona, but have no clue as to where the
Luke Buddie is at this moment! I only know that it is not anywhere in sight,
and i have only been home for a few hours, just got online after not being
online for what seems forever, saw this most current message from you, and
wanted to reply ASAP, I will be taklking to my friend, who finshed up things
for me and took the packages to be mailed and see what could have transpired
regarding the misplaced Luke Buddie....Or better yet, I will simply return
the two madame alaxander dolls from macdonalds that i recieved from you for
the Luke Buddie, therefore saveing time in trying to locate and find what
is going on! This i shall be certain to see to is taken care of FIRST thing
tomorrow morning, Tuesday- May 14,2002! Your two madame alexander dolls will
most definately be in the mail back to you! I do apologize for the oversight
Mona, and am sure could be located if taken the time, but upon just returning,
and haveing so much more important things to tend to, this i feel is the
quickest way to take care of what seems to of the most important to you!
You shall receieve the two madame alexander dolls i recived in trade- of
which i have copies of trade agreement as well, by The end of the week if
sent in the morning, Which I shall be certain to see to is taken care of!
Respectfully; George Tetrick

Well, I don't know if I should be concerned or not. When I last heard
from George Tetrick, he stated he would be mailing my stuff back to me on
Tuesday, May 14th and that I would have them by the end of LAST week! Now
another week has passed. I have written him twice this week, stating that
I haven't received anything from him and to please email me as to what day
last week he sent the stuff back to me! As usual, I have not heard from him.
I'll await your advice before writing him again. Thank you,
Mona

I did a trade with George quite some time ago and it was a very bad
experience. George sent his part of the trade but all the beanies had smoked
heavily. They were so bad that I couldn't even bring them in the house--by
far the worst ones I have ever rec'd. I e-mailed George but he said no one
in his household smoked. It took many e-mails and lots of negotiations but
he finally agreed to reverse the trade. He sent back the Maple Buddy that
I had traded to him and of course, it reeked of smoke when I got it back.
George always answered my e-mails but he was not a pleasant person to deal
with. Lisa

Hi he is major trouble, starts out real nice but gets very very nasty,
he is a very bad person, so unkind so please be very careful of him.He said
some things to be after my father in law died that I wouldn't say to my worst
enemy .I just can't tell you how almost evil he is so beware.... this
was a couple years ago.I hope never to deal with him ever ever again. He seemed
so nice in the beginning ,said he worked in a ty store and was the manager. He
never cheated me but he sure was a strange person not to say so unkind more
like sub human.Liz

I have delt with George Tetrick in Kentucky. I had to put messages on
the boards that I did not get trade from him and he got mine. I also had
to email him demanding my beanie. Finally after threning him he sent me my
beanie. It takes a lot of work to get what you traded for. His feedback is
not that good. He is no longer Registered with Ebay and he has old feedback
from last year. I would ask him to ship first if you want to trade with him.
Please let me know if you need more info. Thanks
Dan

I am responding to the message that i recieved some time this evening
from you regarding Mona Nelson's complaint of haveing not recieved the two
Happy Meal/ Madame Alexander Dolls of which i had agreed to send back to
her. THEY have been mailed back to her and there HAS NOT been any fraud commited
nor shall there be any charges brought against one! I work at a law firm
and have showed them your message along withall correspondent to and from
Mona and they have advised me to inform you that you shall cease sending
any further threats to me regarding the matter at hand and any such acts
as described in attached message i receieved from you today, ( such as banning
from all auction sites, listing me as a fraudulant trader etc) shall and
will result in legal action against you along with Mona Nelson due the fact
that there was no fraud act commited and that i have documented proof that
package was mailed to Mona Nelson containg the two Happy Meal/ Madame Alexander
Dolls! Respectfully; George Tetrick

said that he had.

Thanks for your good efforts! This tells me that he just ignored my TWO
emails to him last week; but answered yours!! He has not replied to my emails
at all about this. Fortunately, for me, the actual dollar value I'm out is
"next to nothing"....so I don't care about that; however, since "trading"
is based on being trust-worthy and honest....perhaps new traders should be
warned about him!! I think I forwarded the emails I received from others
who have traded with him and wrote me saying George gets verbally abusive!!
Hence, threathening to sue you.....empty threat, I'm sure, but who in their
"right mind" even says that!! I'm going to let it drop from my end. I would
prefer not to have any further contact with him; and am just chalking this
up to experience!! I just want to sincerely thank you for taking the time
in an attempt to resolve this!! All the best, Mona

Cautionlist: George has not replied to emails sent to him asking for the
proof that he mailed the package out. This was the proof that I asked him
to send that he stated he had proving he had mailed package to her on May
14.

This is in response to your message stateing that you have intentions
of fileing fraud charges against me and listing my name on the bad traders
list for not haveing replied to you with proof that items were returned to
Mona Nelson. The reason you have not eard back from me before now is
due t the fact that I have not been home since i last replied to you. I travel
alot for my job and have not been home until this evening! And fileing such
charges will and shall only be in vain and could and will result in counter
charges being brought up against you! For the charges you are makeing against
me and my name are bogous! And yes there is proof that the package was mailed
to Mona Nelson, which i would have been mre than glad to send to you had
I been home when you sent message requesting that i forward such proof onto
you so as to clear up this msunderstanding! It was and is not of my intention
to defraud anyone! And really, for two MacDonalds happy meal toys! Please
get real !!!! It is peiople such as yourself that seem to make prejudgements
about others, that have made the collecting of beanies or any other collectable
for that matter turn into such a miserable experience and drained all the
fun out of being able to be of assistance to fellow collectors in obtaineing
items that one may be in need of tocomplete such said collections! I have
always been MORE than fair and been more than generous to everyone that i
have had dealings with over the past three years when I first began online
tradeing/ selling/ and buying online and have over +300 transactions completed!
I do understand your assumeing and makeing such prejudgements such as in
this case regarding the matter at hand Trudy, but feel you should also realize
that everyone does not get online everyday ! Below is picture of receipt
frompost office showing item wasmailed to Mona Nelson, and any further action
such as stated by you that you would do, ( fileing fraud charges, and listing
myname as bad trader), shall result in Counter charges of slander being filed
and followed through! I am sorry that you have been dragged into this matter,
but since you have freely chosen to do so, and freely stated of bing so eager
to bring bogous fraud charges against someone, when there is no fraud involved
whatsoever, that it is assumed that you are also just as leagally responsible
to account and willing to stand accountable for fileing fals charges against
someone! Respectfully George Tetrick

Cautionlist: The proof that George sent was confirmation number and that
package was mailed out on May 29 not May 14th. I did email him back and asked
him for the proof that he said he had that he had mailed a package out on
May 14th. He has now mailed the package to Mona but proof is needed that
he was telling the truth about having mailed a package out May 14

Guess what! Surprise, in today's mail was a small package from George
returning the dolls - and a very nice letter of apology saying things had
come up and this had gotten away from him, what could he do to make this
up to me! Oh, it was postmarked May 29th - two weeks later than he said he
had mailed; however, communication would have been key - if he had just stayed
in touch with me or you!! Thanks for all that you did! Mona

Cautionlist: George has been emailed again asking for proof that he had mailed
a package out on the date he said that he had -- May 14-- he has not replied
to this email. It is great that Mona finally got her stuff back that she
had sent to him but if he does not send proof that he said he had proving
that he had previously sent the package out to her then he has been lying
all the time to Mona and to cautionlist. An honest person would not lie about
this and if cautionlist had not gotten involved with this she probably would
never have gotten her package returned.
