I happened to find your site, and I must say it is an excellent one. What
I am wondering about is a person by the name of JOHN? Noble? Email I have
is Pocket_Aces@webtv.net . I had a dealing with him back in Aug. of 1999
on ebay. he was running a dutch auction for a presale on the 3-beanie show
exclusives, B-day Bear, Lips & Flitter. I purchased 2 sets of these at
$120.00 ea. I sent him a check which was cashed at a bank in Whittier CA
I did not receive a thing. I have tried many routes in finding this person.
He was going by J. Noble, however i learned his first name from one of the
other buyers. I tried the ebay member information, and called and they claimed
they knew nothing on this. I tried the fraud claim through ebay to only receive
a letter saying it was to long for the insurance part, but to file a fraud
claim which I did. All I received was a letter from attorney general saying
he was sorry this type of actions go on in CA. I then took the canceled check
to my banker, and he looked the phone number up from the routing on back
of check, but told me I shouldn't do the call to this bank but have my local
police dept. handle it. I have heard nothing, So what I am wondering is if
you have heard of him, or know if there is a way of trying to get my money
back?? I would be interested to know is if there is anything else I can try
to locate this man??

I should also let you know that his emails were returned as of Sept. 12
stating user unknown. I also was in contact with a Daynee Krauss that had
bought from this same auction, and she did finally receive her goods. I have
all my emails on this auction, and on Sept. 12 I received one from her that
she received her parcel with a return address marked:
Hidden Treasures

The auction # was 138817455 on ebay, but I doubt it is still listed. His
reg. information was totally different. I tried calling that phone number,
but they knew nothing about him, and he was regestered under a name of Issiah
Nikon. I sent him a check for $249.00. That was for 2-sets of the 3-show
exclusives at $120.00 ea. and shipping charge of $9.00...I have turned it
in to my local sheriffs dept.Hope this will help, as I have been trying to
find this jerk. Thanks

John Nobles was arrested and indicted by the Federal Grand
Jury.
"....In a second case announced Tuesday, John Allen Nobles Jr., 31, of
Whittier, was charged with cheating more 130 EBay customers out of more than
$10,000 and failing to pay the auction house more than $60,000 in fees and
expenses. According to a federal grand jury indictment, Nobles used bogus
names to register with EBay, offering to sell golf clubs, Beanie Babies,
Pokemon paraphernalia and other items. Winning bidders never received the
goods they paid for or were sent less expensive substitutes, authorities
said..."
