I bought a Ty #1 Bear from Ryanbeans, Ryan Trowbridge, screen name RT7307,
from Blue Springs, Mo. I sent him $2800.00 and he finally sent me the beanie
after I had to contact him several times about sending it. He said it had
been verified by Peggy Gallagher and finally sent the bear. When it arrived,
it was not in a sealed case and I wrote him back and said I was not happy
with the condition as it should have been in a sealed case. I then resent
the bear to TBB and sure enough it is a fake, now I am also sending Peggy
the info from this certificate to find out if it too is a fake. I e-mailed
several times to the trader to tell him of these facts and that my attorney
would be in touch if we could not get this resolved. After 5 e-mails he finally
answered and told me to contact the ty employee who he said he sent my check
to, which is false as he signed the back of my check himself. No name of
the ty employee is mentioned or phone number or an address. PLMK if you can
help me in this matter. Thanks,
Barb

I purchased the #1 Bear from Stephanie or Jay Nicholas.I had bought other
beanies from them. They all turned out real,so they asked me if I knew of
somebody who wanted or if I wanted to buy it.So I bought it, the #1 Bear
because they had said they worked or a family friend of theirs worked for
Ty Inc.The beanie was authenticated when I recieved it and was going to keep
it for me,but didn't have the money. Then,I decided to sell it to Barbara.I'm
only 17,and was only trying to buy beanies. Please contact them, because they
are the ones who sold it to me.Here's the info for them:

First of all, Mr. Trowbridge has cashed the check I sent him at the Bank
of America in St Louis, on Feb 1, 2001. He I believe is the one to send me
back my money and then he need to deal with this other party as that is between
him and Stephanie. I only dealt with Ryan and I told him I want my money
back and that he should then deal with his party. Am I correct? Thanks,
barb

I had already previously voided COA # 10571. I had also informed Ryan that
the Beanie that matched the COA must be a light blue Peanut with a 3rd gen
ty heart tag and a 2nd gen tush tag. After seeing a facsimile of the Certificate
of COA # 10571 there is evidence that the original writing had been disguised
and someone had illegally rewritten "Ty #1 Bear" and removed the "Light Blue
Peanut", which was written on the line. Someone also removed the 3rd gen
on the certificate and wrote in N/A. I have never authenticated a # 1 Bear
missing the Ty heart tag. Ryan I would suggest you refund the monies to the
buyer because you did not have an authenticated # 1 Bear as you had advertised.
You have some very serious allegations including mail fraud, and including
selling a counterfeit Beanie Baby that Ty Warner did not sign. And advertising
the Beanie had been authenticated by me, Peggy Gallagher. Someone had rewritten
on the original COA and that is an additional fraud charge. You knew in January
that the COA did not match the Beanie Baby in question. I would seriously
suggest you refund the innocent party her money and also contact your seller
and get a a local States Attorney involved to prosecute the person that sold
you this counterfeit Beanie Baby, with a fake Ty signature on a counterfeit
ty heart tag, and whoever altered an authentic COA, from Peggy Gallagher.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Peggy Gallagher Enterprises, Inc. www.peggyg.com

I am in the UK. I traded with Ryan Trowbridge(Blue Springs,Mo), email
Rt7307@aol.com, for his Caw beanie. We agreed to mail on 25th September 2001.
Ryan received my beanies on 10th Oct. 2001 but I have not received the Caw
beanie. After a few weeks I asked him what he was going to do about
fulfilling his side of the trade as I still had not received the Caw beanie.
Ryan told me he was going to make a claim on the insurance he had put Caw
and I had to wait for him to get his money before he would send me anything.
Recently, 8th Dec. he emailed me with this:
Guess what I recived the Caw beanie back today! They said you were never home when they tried to deliver it! They tried 2 times to deliver, but weren't home! Now what? I payed $25 to send it the first time and its your fault you were never home! I'm not paying $25 again! Let me know!
I do not know what has happened here as I never received a single card from the post office informing me that I had a package that was undelivered......this is what they usually do if no-one is home to receive a package.
During the time when Ryan was claiming on the insurance, he was emailing me with all these replies:
1) the US post office was sending me a claim form to complete
I will have to file a claim and get a $200.00 refund in CASH! I will need ypur help, because you will have to sign a form! I will go and get this taken care of TODAY!
They are mailing the claim info to you to sign! After you sign it and they process I will send you money or whatever you need in trade! This is what they told me to do!
2) the US post office was dealing with the UK post office for the claim
3) he only had 10 Clubby 4 beanies he could send me, which he never did
Its going through authorization and making sure that is was never delivered anywhere else! I can send 10 Clubby 4 kits instead of Caw beanie! That's all I have and have no more to spen on beanies until I get this money! Thanks
When I insisted again that he should send me something, this is what he replied:
Why should I? People don't send anything until they get the money back! Its not my fault! I will seee what I can do!
