Complaint filed by: mucklow@sympatico.ca

I was given your name by several beanies traders. They advised me that you may be able to offer me some help with a trade that has gone bad. I am writing to you regarding a Jeff & Maggie Bailey, who I believe are in the military at the Misawa Airbase in Japan.. I was given the following information by Jeff Bailey:

Jeff and Maggie (his wife) Bailey - Japan Military base address (I sent parcel here).

BOX 3276
MISAWA AIR BASE
MISAWA-SHI
AOMORI KEN 033 JAPAN

This is their US ADDRESS given to me:

MAGGIE BAILEY (or JEFF)
PSC 76 BOX 3276
APO AP 96319

Jeff's email address: infinity2463@yahoo.com.  I did a Beanie trade with a Jeff/Maggie Bailey at the above address. He was suppose to mail me two MWMT Nipponia beanie bears on November 14th, 2000 EMS courier from Japan. Through past experience dealing with other traders in Japan, it only takes about 3 business days to get a parcel from Japan to Canada. To date, I have not received his end of the trade. He has not returned any of my emails etc. and I think he may be trying to “scam” me. I shipped my end of the trade (3 Chinook beanies bears) out to him registered mail from Canada on November 13th, 2000. Once again, Jeff has failed to let me know if he has received them. I have submitted a reguest with Canada Post to put an International Trace on my parcel to see if Jeff or Maggie Bailey have signed for it. I am at a complete loss as to what to do. I have tried contacting these people via email on numerous occasions with no response back from them. Jeff/Maggie Bailey made two transactions on Ebay.com at the beginning of January of this year so I now know they are still around and involved with beanies. Jeff's feedback is located on ebay.com under infinity2463@yahoo.com or cokejunkie24 and on smartcollecting.com under infinity2463@yahoo.com . I of course emailed Jeff about this and got no response once again. I have a complete copy of all correspondence from the beginning of this trade deal to now. If you would like to see it please let me know and I will forward all correspondence via email. very much. Any help with this problem I am having with Jeff /Maggie Bailey would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Judy Mucklow

Update filed by: mucklow@sympatico.ca

thank you for the advice. As mentioned in my earlier email, I appreciate any assistance that I can get with this trade gone wrong. Here is what I have done so far to resolve this problem:

1) I have emailed this person several times advising them that I have posted negative feedback, have contacted several trading boards to make them aware of his trading practices etc. I have had no communication since Nov. 19th, 2001. I have on repeated occasions asked for the EMS courier tracking number and any information and I have not heard from these people.

2) I have emailed Jeff and advised him that I will be contacting the Base commander etc. and still nothing.

3) I have drafted up an email/letter to be sent to:

a) Mr. Greene (Judge Advocate for Misawa Airbase) as well as
b) Mr. Loyd S. Utterback, Brig. Gen. USAF Commander  Misawa Airbase Installation.

4) I will try to call the Misawa Airbase operator and see if I can get the Base Commander's name, email address or mailing address. I have drafted up a letter to be sent if I can get the proper person and place to send it.

5) I have the Internet Fraud Link but haven't filed a claim asof yet as I can't be 100% sure whether or not Jeff or Maggie Bailey have received the Chinooks I sent them on November 13th, 2000. I am awaiting comfirmation from Canada Post as I sent the Chinooks registered mail - signature required. I have been advised by Canada Post that this could take a few weeks. - https://www.ifccfbi.gov/ - Fraud Link.

6) I also was given the telephone number of the Base legal Office 011-81-3140-26-4022 by a fellow trader who saw my negative posting about Jeff Bailey. I have not called this number as of yet.

Basically, I am not sure what to do next to get my Chinooks back or get the two Nipponias agreed upon in this trade.  Any advice is of course greatly appreciated. Judy Mucklow Canada.
