i answered a post on the bbot on july 19 offering two beanies that jennifer spanhake wanted - millenium and unity - saying i needed nipponia and sakura buddy. she accepted this offer and gave me an address on a military base. her last name she gave was different from what her email said. the name and address given to mail to were:

i emailed her on august 11 saying i hadn't received her end and asking if she had received mine. i got no reply but on august 14, i received an email from her that was sent to all of us that had entered into trades with her.here's what it said:

"I am writing this letter to all the Ty friends to let them know that I owe you a big appology. I have not had any time to mail anything out because my son has been very sick and they are trying to get him better before the opperation on friday. I promise that I will get to it as soon as my son is better I promise. I am so very sorry that I have not had time to read any e-mails or respond to everyone personally instead of sending the same letter to everyone. Please have some more patience with me I will get everyones stuff out asap.  Your Ty friend,   Jennifer"

She kept saying she would mail and never did. She is now not replying to emails.

My name is Sara and ill try and fill you in on this girl. Her name Jennifer Parquez and she was in the milatary in Japan for the USA when all of us bought or traded with her. I sent her a nipponia for my ty2k. I was also confused when she started talking about her son. She stated she didnt have any references, and she refused to ship first. She also said that she couldnt rip us off anyway because the military would get her in big trouble. Also, i asked her over and over again why its different and she never told me. Ill send an email out to all of us to email you. She was supposed to ship my nipponia out on August 2nd, when i sent my beanie out. Then on August 14th she emailed me and the others stating her son was very sick, and then the last time was on September 18th when she told us she couldnt mail our stuff out at that time. . Her address to me was:

I have received your email address from one of the people that got the wrong end of the deal with Jennifer. I sent her beanies  tradee and speckles for sakura buddy and nipponia beanie at the beginning of August and have yet to receive the beanie and buddy she promised me in trade. The last email I received from her she said that the base wasn't letting them mail out after what had happened on Sept. 11th over here...who knows what to believe from her anymore?!? Anyway, I hope you have a way of helping us all as this was to be a birthday present for my son on Aug. 24th and I was hoping I get them by Christmas, I even asked her to send back my beanies if she didn't have the ones she was suppose to trade me, but she wouldn't respond.  Many thanks!  Ellena Holman

As for Jennifer being in the milatary it was supposed to be her husband, and now she is saying that she has a friend that lives on base and that she is not associated with the milatary. It seems that everything she has said in the past was not true so why believe this. If it is persued her husband could possibly get in trouble so she could be trying to cover up. I am posting on the trader list and filing a fraud complaint as well. Let them sort it out. Jennifer hasn't returned my e-mail but has been in touch with Sheila, so she is still at the same place. At least it seems so. As of now htere are some other people involved and no one has gotten beanies or money returned. It is time we all go for the complaint and see what happens. Bill

I sent a $40.00 money order for a nipponia beanie and sakura buddy and never recieved them nor heard from her after telling me she recieved it!!! Sent her a 1st addition humphrey buddy in exchange for a libearity buddy and never recieved it. After asking where it was told me to give her a break her house just burnt down!!!

traders_name: Jennifer Spanhake Comments: I sent her my beanies in July and have yet to receive mine, has stop contacting me through email and blocked me from sending her email. She has scamed about 7 or 8 other people that I know of.
