I responded to a post by these people on one of AOL's collecting newsgroups. I ordered four beanie babies, 2 pumkins and 2 98 holiday teddies at a cost of $54 including shipping. They assured me that the beanies were in stock and would be shipped upon receipt of payment. They also said they would E-mail me when my payment arrived and when the beanies had been shipped. I sent a postal money order on 12/9 and E-mailed them to let them know that payment was on the way. By 12/19 I had heard nothing from them and so I again E-mailed them inquiring about receipt of my payment. They informed me that it had not yet arrived. I waited another week and again E-mailed them. My E-mail was immediately returned as NOT A KNOWN AOL MEMBER. I placed a post on the AOL collecting newsgroups to see if anyone else had done business with these people. I received a response from another person who had sent $130 and also had not received her merchandise. I am in the process of contacting the Postal Inpection Service, FBI, and the Buena Vista police department to file a report on these people.
Update: December 31, 1998
I was contacted by RedHicks@aol.com and advised that she had received an E-mail from Furrbbess and that he was sending a refund to her. I tried sending an E-mail which did go through this time and received a reply that my money was being returned by Fed X and that I should receive it by 1/4/99. Posts were also placed on AOL's collecting newsgroups by Furrbbess this morning to the effect that persons who had placed orders and had not received their merchandise should E-mail Furrbbess for a refund. I will advise if and when I receive a refund.
