I have another problem which you might be able to help with. I sent
Kim Korte,
c/o Jack's Computer Center,
46 Main Street
Flin Flon, M8, R8A 1JA, Canada
She is kimk@flinfon.net

2 Britannia Beanies for 2 Maple Beanies on 23 November 1999. She claims never to have received my Britannia Beanies. Coincidentally, her Maples were returned once because she said the Customs form was incorrectly filled out and then again because she, allegedly, had not written my address down correctly. I do not believe her. I have a stamped certificate of posting dated 23 November 1999. After sending a couple of emails querying the whereabouts of the Maple beanies, on 16 December Kim Korte sent me an email saying that she had not received the brits and that the maples had come back because there was no customs declaration form attached and that her secretary had resent them. On 10 January, in response to another email from me, Kim stated that the brits still had not turned up and that her Maples had shown up back in Flin Flon, stating wrong address. She did not say when they returned, nor did she tell me at the time. I really believe that she is not telling the truth. On neither occasion when her Maples were allegedly returned did she do me the courtesy of telling me and when I questioned her she accused me of harrassing her.I did check her refs and they were fine. Her email address is kimk@flinflon.net.My email address is debtcol@dircon.co.uk I have 108 refs, all good. The certificate of posting has the name of the addressee and also the address and postcode. Kim Korte has always emailed me on this email. My refs are under debtcol@dircon.co.uk because when I started trading we were not on the internet at home and I have kept my refs under that email as I do not want anyone to think I have anything to hide by changing my email. If Kim maintains, as I am sure she will, she has not received my Britannia beanies, is there anything that can be done. I really feel she has not acted honourably in this matter. It seems too much of a coincidence that her Maples were returned, not once, but twice and did not even bother to tell me.  What can I do. Thank you Darryl

Sorry it took me so long to get back here but I was out of town when your mail arrived...I could get a note from the lady that works at my post office here in Flin Flon confirming my posting and returning of the maples that I sent...as all the mail I receive goes through that same post office I am sure that she could also confirm that I received no mail from the UK in December or January when I was to have received the britania that were to have been sent to me...At that point I was not shipping my beanies so as that they had to be signed for at the other end...but since this I have been...I am of the belief that the beanies were never shipped to me from Britain and that Your person was perhaps dealing in bad faith....I have traded many beanies to the UK and the states and have never had a problem before this...Regards, Kim Korte

Cautionlist has seen the certificate of posting that Daryl had on the package that he sent. He indeed sent his package out on the same day that he said he did and sent it to Kim. I have asked them both to check with customs and have asked Kim for signed  proof that she indeed shipped the beanies out twice!! or signed proof from her postal service that she never got a package from the UK. ( She said that she could get this statement) She has sent me nothing and  just states that package she sent was returned twice and that she got nothing from Daryl. She does know that I have the proof that he shipped to her.

I entered into a trade agreement with a Kim Korte of Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada back at the end of April of this year. The facts are: Kim contacted me on April 25/00 about trading her Maple, Britannia and Germania beanies for 3 Sakuras. That same day, I agreed to the trade. Kim provided me with her ebay feedback. - on April 28/00 Kim confirms trade and I responded re mail date of possibly May 1st.- no word from Kim until May 14 in which she explains she had an e-mail virus and was the trade still on.- on May 15 both we agree with trade  I sends her 3 Sakuras via EMS on May 15 and Kim agrees to mail out Maple, Brit and Germania beanies on May 16th. - Kim received and signed for the 3 Sakuras on May 19/00 at 15:14 and as of June 4th (Japanese time), I have not received my 3 beanies.

Update filed by: Yoko-ayaka@nifty.com

I would like to let you know that Kim Korte has honoured her part of the trade with me. I received her three beanies promised by Kim in the mail today in Japan. These beanies were resent by Kim's daughter. I thought it best to provide you with an update.  Many thanks.

My name is Tony Tedesco and I traded my Germania Buddy for three Smooch Beanies from Kim Korte. The trade was approximately 5 weeks ago. We were supposed to send on a Monday, but I decided to send the Friday before to get it out of the way. I called on a Saturday, two days before it would be three weeks from the time Kim was supposed to mail the beanies. She told me she was sick. She received my Germania Buddy a couple days prior and said she mailed the beanies a couple days ago. Three weeks later the package is still not here. I understand that packages from Canada to Germany, I'm at an APO address, can take 2 to 2 1/ 2 weeks, but she could have made the effort to send someone to the Post Office to mail the package for her, since she doesn't live alone. I don't know if you can do anything, but I am going to have to press charges for theft and mail fraud either through the Canadian Postal Inspectors or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Department in that area. Below is all the information on Kim. I will let you know if it happens to show up this week. THANK YOU!!!!!!  TAKE CARE,   TONY TEDESCO
