On 7/16/00 she emailed me an offer. she offered me a mwmt authentic Libearty beanie baby for my mwmt authentic sakura beanie. After more emails back and forth checking each others feedback. Her feedback looked good in ebay so I went ahead with the trade. We both shipped out on 7/18/00. Just a couple of days later I got the libearty in the mail. I got a fake libearty before, and also have a real one. I didnt hesitate to look it up online and compare it to the one I have now that is real. It is without a doubt a fake beanie. I emailed her right away.. she said that she was sorry about that and she didnt know it was a fake.. she said she had bought a few of them online a few years back when she was more into beanies and hadnt paid them any attention in a while. She agreed that she would send my Sakura back as soon as it got there. She then emailed me a day later to tell me sakura was there and she was so happy with it... she said she liked it so much she really didnt want to have to send it back so she offered to pay for one online that was gauranteed to be authentic... I was ok with that. I found a lady online that had one she gauranteed to be authentic.. the lady online sent Laura a request for payment online through paypal. Laura never replied to the lady. Well several days went by.. I was worried so that is when I tried the phone number she gave me.. it didnt work. I called the operator and got the right number. I called several times. Everytime I called a girl answered and kept saying Laura wasnt there.. The girl on the phone was nice... after several phone calls I told her why I was calling. She offered to mail my sakura back to me, she said Laura wouldnt mind since it was a deal. Well, she never mailed it.. she stopped replying to my emails, she even stopped reading them. I can tell that because you can check on the status of emails you have sent to other aol members. Quite a while went by... I filed a complaint online through the IFCC (internet fraud complaint center). They sent me a copy of my complaint and I never heard from them again. I waited a couple weeks, then emailed Laura to tell her I wouldnt stop until I got something back, wether it be my sakura or money for me to buy libearty. Finally after sometime, someone emailed me back... It was strange, it was from a girl that says her name is Stefanie. She said she didnt know what was going on, she said she had just read all those emails I had sent to her email. Well, she said the person that did this was a friend of hers that she found out was using her aol screen name and email address. She said she knows it wasnt Laura Gainey because Laura had been in Korea for the whole time since our trade started. She wasnt real sure which of her friends did this. She did say she though it was one friend, cant remember the name she gave, she said this other girl had been in trouble for this before and had reports of mail fraud filed against her. Stefanie felt bad about all this and offered to pay me off, then she would take it up with her friend. She didnt want her name or her other friends name to be used in a complaint. I said ok... well, she never did send money, and she said that my sakura wasnt there for her to send back to me. She stopped emailing me and I havent heard from her since. I honestly dont believe her when she tells me these different names and all that.. I really believe the girl on the phone was the one I had the deal with, and I think stefanie is laura.

I have about given up on getting anything back from either one of these people. They are the ones that made these offers to me. I dont know what to do. Thank you so much for your time I really appreciate it. Lynda Clark
