October 3 Everyone who was cheated needs to call the fraud unit. The Fraud Unit number is 410-887-2190. Talk with Sgt. Myers or Corporal Privett. They are now saying that these are 4 individual people: Lindsey Kalhoun, Heather Schulze, Kate Jones and Chris Toolan.

I have another situation where a lady is selling beanies at pretty good prices, but doesn't add up. I paid her for 50% of the items I purchased, $200.00 up front using my credit card, but I will dispute this too. I paypaled her on July 18th and she claims she mailed it out on Friday July 20th, and she says now she used media mail and it should get to me in 2 weeks. Was talking with a friend of mine and it does take longer, but should be no longer than about 4-5 days since we are neighboring states. Anyways, I found out when contacting smart collecting, she was now banned and I will be contacting my credit card company, and the strange thing is that this person was unverified, but did get verified on paypal now, which means they have to have your address and also your bank info. So she has given paypal this, which means they can atleast recover their money when I dispute my end of this deal on my credit card. So that works out for them. Her name is Lindsey Kalhoun and her email is LindseyDolls@hotmail.com. Pls just give her a formal email when you have to time. I just want to pressure her to get her act together because she might have done this to someone else. Thanks M
I know you three must get weary of the amount of fraudulent claims coming
in - I can imagine it would be very discouraging! Unfortunately, after many
years of trading/buying/selling on the Internet I believe I have been taken
for the first time :( I posted an ad on Smart Collecting looking to purchase
HTF Issy beanies and this person responded - she had some feedback though
it now appears as if she fabricated it herself. I agreed to send a 50% deposit
(233.00) via Paypal. That was over a week ago - after her initial correspondence
saying she had mailed - she has ignored my emails asking for the delivery
confirmation number and of course no package has arrived - I guess that old
saying about 'if it sounds too good to be true it probably is' holds some
water! I have initiated a buyer complaint through Paypal and posted queries
on CN, KnK, SC with 2 responses. One lady had sent her an e-check which I
hope she will be able to stop payment on. Here is this person's pertinent

Greetings! The package was mailed on Tuesday last week( to jazjer@earthlink.net (Michiko Robinson). I have been in touch, but never got a responce about what he wants me to do...I offered a refund or if he wanted I could put a "tracer" on the package, and it would tell me what happened. Or I could file for the insurance, but I think it has to be 30 days to be declaired lost

although the deal was recently made, I am now concerned that Lindsey will
not follow through with her end of the deal.................. We have a copy
of the Purolator delivery slip where the money was sent to her mother's address
in Baltimore, Maryland - obviously someone had to sign for as well as a copy
of the money order that Lindsey would have had to have signed...................
My wife is in the midst of possibly creating another deal... as she had called
our home to confirm the transaction. We did not 'hit *69' to get the number,
however she may have had it blocked. I am not sure if the phone company will
have a record of the number... If any of this help, please let us know. We

I was given your name & e-mail address in reference to non receipt of beanies. I have just filed a complaint with PayPal. This is a brief outline of what transpired.
Seller maintained excellent communication until I sent my funds. I sent
over 5 e-mail with no response. I then posted an e-mail on Smart Collecting
posting board, where I saw her posting, and received responses from 5 others
had sent her $$ with no response to date. I did receive 1 e-mail from her
last Thursday, 7/26/2001, stating that she mailed my beanie package on Monday
7/23/2001, and I have not received anything as of today's date 7/30/2001.
What ever you can do would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance for

It was suggested that I email you about not receiving my merchandise from Lindsey Kalhoun, I sent her via paypal $165.00 she has told me twice that the merchandise was sent priority mail, it has been two weeks and no package and no response to my emails since that Thursday, she told me the package was sent last Tuesday, please let me know what I should do, Thanks, Terry

Unfortuantly, if the want their money back, since someone reported me to paypal, after 1 year and a half of buisness with them, paypal has suspended my accout. I recommend that they request a investigation through paypal to get their money back, and when paypal contacts me, I will explain the situation to them, and they can have their refunds. I guess just have each contact me, some of them haven't even been mailed yet. my email is:

We have received several emails from people who have bought from Lindsey and have not received their beanies, They said to contact you for help. On July 22 we bought a Issy Dublin from Lindsey for $53.25 and paid thru PayPal. As of this day we have not received anything. I have emailed her several times and she said that it was sent on Tuesday of last week, as she is in Arizona and we are in California we should have received it by now. I have emailed PayPal and made a complaint with them, I hope you can help us and all the other people that have sent her money. RAY & TERRI CUNNINGHAM

I have spokne with someone at paypal, and until further notice my accout
is restricted. I am not allowed to send anyone money, but am allowed to
receive. Unfortuanatly, that means I can't send anyones money back,

the traderslist almost everyday and am amazed at all the people that are

I ordered some beanies. She told me two different shipping dates. I still
haven't received them. She won't return any of my emails from the last four
days. I told her I would take action by today if no response. I did not get
a response so I filed a complaint with Paypal today. I checked my paypal
account and found a pending credit from Lindsey Dolls but not for my entire
payment. I will be happy if I get anything back considering that most people
aren't so lucky. Thank you for listening and BEWARE!!!!!

I was told that I could write to you and that you would be able to answer
my question. I sent $325.00 to Lindsey Calhoun by PayPal on July 26, 2001.
When my order of Beanie Babies did not arrive, I began emailing her. After
several letters to her (ranging from nice to vicious), I finally received
a reply from her telling me that if I wanted my money back I would have to
file a complaint with PayPal. I did this over the weekend but have heard
nothing from PayPal. Do you think that I will get my money back? It will
be very unfair if I don't because I never received the Beanies that I ordered

was orginally to be maile 8-25-01. She no longer responds to my emails. I
have tryed to be nice about this whole thing. but now i just want my money
back. I paid her $104.00 through pay pal on 7-23-01. Guess I'm just to trusting.

I ordered 14 beanies totalling $700. She was very receptive until she
got my money from Paypal. I emailed her for a shipping #. No answer. I was
alerted by Paypal, emailed her again telling her she was going to break my
daughters heart. She told me to get a refund from Paypal. After numerous
emails from others I had to admit she was a fraud. I emailed her, telling
her my daughters were crying...she sent me an email and I quote "It's not
like you're not getting your money back....sheesh". Paypal has my account
pending but not for the full amount...Makes me very nervous about buying
on internet again

was due to the Sept. 11 incident. I have not heard back since 9-18. I have
written everyday stating the bear has not arrived, but no response. Any help
or any place I can turn to try to get my money. Any assistance will be greatly
appreciated. PLEASE advice me as to what to do. Thanks in advance for
your help. Also, he is telling me to post about this possibly being a bad
