I posted a caution alert on traderlist on 7/26 regarding Lisa Mullins of Gaithersburg, MD. She is also known as "Sarkaylei" and her email address is: lisaamullins@starpower.net. I was matched with her for a sale on metaexchange on June 21. It took her several days to acknowledge the transaction, but when she finally did, I sent her a money order for ($11.45) which was $8.25 for signature2000 beanie baby plus postage. She acknowledged receipt of the money on 7/7 and said she was had shipped that day. Needless to say, there were several excuses, then---nothing!! She has stopped answering emails. She has been suspended by metaexchange, and apparently other sites.I have posted the caution note that I mentioned above and filed an online fraud report. The amount of my loss is not really great, but she has done this before and I would like to help stop her. Also, I have learned that her references are most likely bogus and probably posted by herself or friends because I cannot access information from any of the transaction numbers, even newly created ones. Can you advise me of any other steps that I can take? Doris Znoy.

Using metaexchange I was connected to Lisa for the purchase of a 3rd generation Ty Maple Buddy for $75 plus $4.05 for shipping for a total of $79.05. I sent a personal check and several emails. I waited and waited and no response so I emailed her and her husband emailed me back saying she left town for a while to care for a relative and no buddy was going to be sent but he would refund the total I had sent so I emailed him back the amount of $79.5 to be payed to me. Again I waited and heard nothing. I sent several more emails and they have gone through. The check has been canceled and I have gotten metaexchange involved but they got no further. They gave me a phone number that I have called and gotten through to a Lisa and her husband who quickly change who they are once I identify myself. They have gone as far as to using their small child to defer questions. They hang up and I call back and get the answering machine. Pretty bad for $79.00 Looking for other avenues to recover my money. I have purchased the maple buddy from another party with no problems and just want my refund.

Thank you very much for your message regarding Lisa Mullins and placement on the bad trader list. In addition to the other person (Scott Gelster) whose complaint also appreared with mine, there are three other people whom I have been in contact with who have been scammed by her. This is in addition to the three that she eventually reimbursed. I wonder how many others who just let it go? All of us are proceeding with pressing charges against her. The latest twist in all of this is that she is having her boyfriend (richm) answer her email messages and promise refunds; however, I suspect that the real author of those messages is actually Lisa. No one has actually received any money however. Thank you again so much for your help. Doris Znoy

Part of the messages that have been sent to some of the people who are involved in this common effort have been from Richie's address (including some to me), but I am convinced that they are written by Lisa. As of today, all of the money has now been refunded (including mine), and it was all supposedly sent by "Richie". The return address on the envelope I received was:

However if you click on "Richm" on collectingnation, you will note that his residence is listed as Gaithersburg, MD. First she refers to him as a husband named "Michael" then as a boyfriend named "Richie". Even though the money has been refunded, I would like to continue to press charges because she intended to defraud and she has done it before; and no doubt will do it again if she gets off of the hook. Lisa took me for $40.00. Monday her friend Rich e-mailed me back that he is sending a refund. I have not it received yet. Isn't there some way we could prevent her from ever trading on internet again? Maybe register her name, address & phone with every auction company so no matter what user name she came up with or internet access(she currently uses starpower) that they would not accept her. I did receive a full refund today, Wednesday from Rich (Lisa's friend). It was a P.O. money order. Thanks for all your help. It sure would be nice if there was someway to let the world know of what she did and to keep her from ever trading on-line again. Sharon
