I've been urged to contact you to tell you about my dealings with Mandy Frye (aka Mandy Parrish) because she seems to be defrauding a number of people, and it is only by exposing her that we might protect others. I will try to keep this short, and give you just the basics but I will be happy to provide as many details that you might want, just let me know what you'd like.
I first traded with Mandy back in early March, that trade went okay even though I had some doubts about Mandy (you know, that 'gut instinct' thing) but since it turned out okay, I made the mistake of entering another trade agreement with her on March 19, and it's been nothing but a major headache since. I mailed her a large number of beanies and a buddy for a 4G Bubbles, a 3G Legs, and a Sunny & Periwinkle. They were shipped on March 19 (after cutoff time, though, so considered March 20 I suppose.) The package arrived there on March 24. I still have not received her end of the trade, nor have I received my items back from her. She eventually said that she would replace the items and re-ship as she had another of all of the items except for a 4G Bubbles, which she had already arranged to replace. Then once she supposedly got the Bubbles replaced, she said she made a mistake and didn't have a 3rd generation Legs to send after all. She wanted to substitute some April new releases for the 3G Legs and I declined, told her that I didn't need any of the newbies except Issy and really wanted oldies anyway. Meanwhile, of course, she is ignoring my emails, not answering any of my inquiries, etc. but finally did when I threatened legal action. Then she told me her kid was sick, etc., all the same things I read about so often on the traderlist site.
She was very selective about the emails she would respond to and the ones she wouldn't, then I wrote to tell her that if I didn't have confirmation of her shipping my items back to me by a specific date that I was going to have her charged criminally. She then writes back pretending not to have even received that email, but is all cheerful and saying Wow guess what? I found you an Issy bear to substitute for the 3G Legs, isn't that wonderful, etc etc. I wrote back and said that I knew she had already received my message that enough was enough and I wanted my items back etc., and she goes into a song and dance about how she had made huge sacrifices to find an Issy bear to substitute for the 3G Legs, and pretends that I had agreed to such a substitution, which is nonsense. By this time, I already had a number of Issy bear trades arranged, but had never agreed to such a substitution in the first place. ((I have emails to substantiate all of this, by the way))
Eventually she says she will send back my items, then goes into another song and dance about having to take the Chinook back from a crying child because she had given it to her niece as a birthday gift, etc. I asked her to ship with tracking and send me confirmation of that, but of course she didn't. She continually tells people that her post office is inept and blames everything on them, yet then claims not to know anything about how to ship packages, and claims not to know about such services as global priority, even though she's already agreed to use them, etc.
She claimed to have mailed my items back to me on April 30 and said she would send confirmation of it that night but that she was going out for dinner, etc. She never sent confirmation, of course. Eventually, she saw the negative feedback I left her at CN and then wrote to me yesterday, which prompted a whole flurry of email between us today. It now appears that she may have shipped on April 30 but of course, she didn't use tracking and she didn't provide any kind of confirmation until now, even though she said she would do so long ago.
To make a very long story short, it does appear that she may have finally shipped my items back to me although they are taking the long, slow way as usual, and I have no doubt that if they do arrive, they will probably be damaged, and they will probably cost me a fortune to get from Customs as I'm equally sure she will have made sure of that. And of course, I'll be out the approximately $25 it cost me to ship them to her in the first place, along with whatever it costs me to get them from Customs if they do ever arrive. ((I called her post office in Spencer Indiana because she told me that she had purchased tracking but it wouldn't come up on the USPS website... they could not track the package with the number she gave me because it is only an insurance number that doesn't get "tracked" unless and until the package gets delivered, apparently.)) But she has scanned pictures that seem to suggest she may have mailed the package. It's hard to read them but it looks like it has the wrong name and wrong postal code on the insurance receipt, so who knows whether they'll ever arrive, but the Canadian postal system is very good... the street address and the city are correct so I expect that the package will eventually make its way to me.
Mandy has told so many lies to so many people that she can't even keep them straight. This is also borne out by some of the other negative comments at her CN feedback, ((did I mention that she's been suspended from there?)) She also tells lies when it is not even to her benefit in any way. For instance, she wrote to me last night saying that she had posted copies of her mailing receipt on her website, so I went to see them but they only came up as broken links. I wrote to her to tell her that, and she wrote a snotty response this morning saying that I must not have looked at her site because they were there. So I went back to her site again and they were still only showing as broken links. But I know quite a bit about websites so I went to the source code and copied it, then found my way into her site directory and found her images directory and the images, and then wrote to her to tell her of the mistake she made in the code which explains why the pictures were only showing as broken links. A little while later, I looked at her site again and saw that she had corrected the code exactly as I had instructed, and I commented on that during one of the flurry of email that we've been exchanging today. She then wrote back to me, saying that she had not been to the site since she initially put them up yesterday. Now, the stupid thing about this is that there was absolutely no reason in the world to lie about this, since who cares if she made a mistake in trying to put the pictures on her site, yet she just rhymes out another lie, because that is her nature. ((The only reason it was an issue at all was because of her snotty remark suggesting that I hadn't even looked to see if the pictures were posted, which of course I had.)) Furthermore, it was so completely ridiculous for her to try to lie about such a silly thing when I had already told her that I'd gone through her code and found the problem and the images, so of course she should have known that I had the code, and would compare it to the new code which appeared later today.
There are others who have written to me after seeing my negative feedback for her at the trade board, and some of these people have still not received their trades or their own items back. I know that at least one person has written to traderlist about her and has posted some updates as well. Others have posted about her at the CN bad trader board, etc. Mandy is using other email addresses and IDs since being kicked off of CN, but I've found some other email addresses she's using and so have others.
Again, I have kept all of the emails between Mandy that show the chronology of events, etc., and I will be happy to provide you with other information that you may require. just wanted to pass on some info in case it will help others.
she is now posting on various trade sites claiming the identity of a person on Ebay who happens to have considerable positive feedback.
I knew it wasn't her own feedback because she has a different Ebay ID which shows her negative feedback (which of course she doesn't offer to provide), and besides that, this person's feedback that she is claiming goes back quite a while, and Mandy never started using this as her references until long after she got suspended from CN, etc.
In addition, I have written to people who recently left feedback for the person who Mandy has claimed to be, and they have confirmed that it was NOT Mandy that they dealt with at all, and have never heard of her. It is someone who is probably a relative of Mandy's since the woman's surname is also Mandy's maiden name, and I know from previous discussions with Mandy that she has relatives living in the same town as her. Also, Mandy mentioned in earlier conversations that her mother has webtv, and this person at Ebay who Mandy's impersonating also is a webtv user. I suspect that her mother is probably completely unaware that Mandy is now fraudulently claiming her feedback and identity, but there you have it.
Mandy used to go by the name dakotaplains at Ebay and was suspended for
bad deals under that ID too. She was also suspended at CN with that ID and
an email address of dakotaplains@webtv.net as well as with an ID of
collectsallthings and an email address of frye@hotmail.com Cheers,
Colleen

I was a victim of her's on Collecting Nation ,whom also filed the first complaint on tradelist on her and warned other traders. She returned my beanies after trying to contact her on several occasions and finally threatening to disclose her fraudulent behavior to CN Admin. My beanies were returned with crushed tags even with the protectors .I assumed she did this out of spite, for my contacting CN, she even had them insured so that she could blame the Post Office . She posted negative feed on me for having received the beanie that was offered in trade, and later reposted that beanie as a trade fell through, after the ordeal and CN investigated she was suspended .I post warning other about her and got numerous Reponses concerning Mandy Parrish, Frye with different e-mail addresses.
An update,Mandy Frye, Parrish has moved to another site Andrea's Attic,
so all beware. She is up to no good. She has traded with yet another victim
whom has not received items offered or the person's own items.Mandy has been
suspended on two well known sites and is now seeking more victims. Be careful
of this one she trades items that she don't have.

Here is what has happened with Mandy Frye (I know she also goes by Parrish, But I was dealing with her under the name Frye). I saw a posting on April 13/01 for her offering an authenticated Righty Beanie for the Best offer of Other beanies. I offered her: 98 Teddy, 99 Teddy, Clubby 3, The End, The Spangle trio (WF, PF &BF), Stinky, Fridgid, Wiggly, Spike, Hoppity, and 3 Buddies: Ears, Clubby 3, and Lucky. She liked the offer and we made a deal to ship on the 16th of April. I mailed mine ( at a whopping cost of $26.00) and she has recieved them, she states that in her e-mails of which I have hard copies. I, However, have not seen hide nor hair of the Righty Beanie.. She is telling me that she went to the PO and asked them where it is. She doesnt have a confirmation # or a way to track it and the PO told her that it is out there, they just dont know where. Thats what she says, but after talking with several other people who have had troubles with het, I dont believe she has Mailed me anything. How long should I wait? It has been a month now and she still wants me to wait longer.
I have told her that I will give it till the end of this week and if it doesnt arrive, I want her to send me back all my Beanies and in the same condition I sent them to her. She told me "FAIR ENOUGH". I am probubly being too patent with her, I have never had this problem before and I cant believe it is happening now. I just know she is selling off my Hard Earned Beanies and I will never get anything out of the deal. She thinks she is clever, but I hope she gets it in the end.
So, That is where we stand at the moment. If you have any other questions, Just give me a dingle. Regards, Denise

(Kind of funny I am glad to finally hear from someone there. I have been emailing Gramma pat for about a week with no replies.) As I already told Denise yesterday and every day before that. I mailed her stuff. ???? I checked with the post office yesterday, they say it should hopefully be there by the end of the week. That's all I know about it. I emailed her yesterday to let her know this information. She seemed fine with that, saying that if it still was not there by then that she would like to have her stuff back (she would send mine back when it arrived). I said that sounded like a fair deal. This is only the second trade I have made with someone out of country. Both times to Canada and both have been the worst shipping experience I have had in trading. (Delays and such) I don't know that much about methods of shipping and tracking numbers and such outside of the US. I guess that is my fault for not finding out better. That is one of the reasons she is mad I know because I don't have a tracking number. I didn't know you could get one.I have never denied receiving her stuff. She has been emailing me saying that not only have I lied about getting her stuff, that I have already sold it? I have not sold any of it, it is all still sitting right here. Why would I trade for it then sell it if I need it?If she would just give it till then that it should arrive. I would never take someones stuff. I am an honest person, and would not do it.Please contact me for any more information you need. I will be happy to provide it. I just want this trade to be done and her and "others" to leave me be. (I have gotten bad posts put up about me from people I don't even know, I just assumed that it must be someone dealing with her) I have now even gotten taken off my trade board because of what they wrote about me. Thank you. Mandy Parrish
I just wanted to say thank you for all the helpfull information. I wish I had know that stuff before, that way none of this would have had to happen. I just took it to the post office and asked them to mail it. They said that will be $17.00. Beyond that I don't know anything. How long it would take, how it was sent, nothing. That's my fault I guess though. About the other person coll@sympatico.ca (Colleen Robertshaw). I did resend her stuff to her after she said she did not get mine. (which again I had no proof of due to no tracking number) She has been emailing me claiming I never did and such so I scanned the receipts I had and showed her. She claimed that I faked them and had not sent the stuff back. Since then she has posted about me on the trader list and other places numerous times (which caused me to be thrown off the trade board). She has sent nasty and threatening emails to me and my husband and mother!(how she got her email I don't know?) Somehow she found out my mothers id on ebay and started emailing people she has dealt with asking if they knew who I was. She also contacted ebay about my mother. She claims that is not really my mother and that I am using her feedback on ebay to make it look like I have good feedback. She has been emailing me at least 5-15 times a day! I have asked her numerous times to leave me and my family alone. All she says is that I have to be stopped because I am a bad person and that all I can do is lie. If I am such a bad person then how come she has her stuff and I have lost mine? She has called the police and the post office in my town (since I sent her stuff back). I don't know where she will stop. It worries me that people like her can find out personal information about me like tha. I have been trying to sell off the last of my extras. No more trading for me after this. I am tired of the stress! But since I have been taken off of smart collecting because of the posts on the traderlist, and CN's bad traders board, I can't even do that....Thanks so much for your help and time. You guys there are doing a great service to traders (like me) who could use a helping hand. Keep up the good work! Mandy Parrish
Everything is copesetic there except that I never said that she denied
recieving the beans I sent her, nor did I say she lied about recieving them,
and I never mentioned anything to her about my being worried that she is
selling my Beanies. That is a total load of Bull. Just thought I should let
you know that she lied to you right there. I have kept copies of all our
e-mails and never once had I said she lied. I have not contacted the
Customs agency. I will do that tomorrow. It is not something I had thought
of. Thanks for telling me about it. It is now Thursday night and still no
Righty. I will wait for mail tomorrow and if it isnt here, I will let you
know right away. I want her to send my Beanies back to me insured with the
confirmation Number. I am worried about them coming back to me in poor shape
(Bent tags and such) or not getting back to me at all. I will let you know
about that too.

About coll@sympatico.ca I don't know if she has gotten it or not she has
not told me one way or the other. Yes it was insured for.....$60.00. I have
the receipt for that with the number on it. I assume you could track it by
that. She asked me for the number, which I gave to her plus the phone number
of our post office. She said she called but they told her there was no package
for that number?? Don't know why they would have told her that when I have
the receipt right here?? I also have the register receipt for all of the
transactions I made at that time. Which I also showed her a picture of. She
told me that the address was wrong and that I did it on purpose so that the
package would be returned to me. The address on it is the same one I had
used in our previous trade. That package made it to her just fine.If Denise
will let me know if it does not show up by the end of the week, I will gladly
mail hers back on Monday. Under the condition that when mine arrives, either
it will be returned or her end of the trade that I have now will be returned.
Sorry to sound nasty about it, but I just got taken for a large $ amount
on another trade the same way. The woman "claimed" that she had not received
mine yet and wanted her stuff back, saying she would return mine when it
arrived. Needless to say I never got mine back, and she won't return emails.
I finally just gave up what else was I to do? So I hope you can understand
why I am touchy on that? I would very much like to keep the stuff we traded.
So if you could pass that on to her. When he does arrive, if not by the end
of the week, can she return the stuff I have now and keep Righty? If she
does not want to I would understand that though....Thanks again, Mandy

I just wanted to update you on things, and to ask you a question. I believe
Denise Tremblay and I have come to a "momentary" agreement. She says my package
still has not arrived (Friday). I told her if it was not there by Monday
afternoon I would be more than happy to send her stuff back on Monday. With
the agreement of the return of mine.My question conserns the other trader
we spoke about coll@sympatico.ca (Colleen Robertshaw). Since I last talked
with you we have had some interesting updates. She had stopped emailing me,
and I found out why. When I signed up for SCratings I used my mothers web
tv email as a back up due to the fact (as you most likely know) that you
can't use a hotmail email there. Well she got that email and somehow my mothers
ebay id as well and has been emailing her now. I am truly unsure of what
this woman will do next, and how far she will go. This woman is owed nothing
by me. She has had her stuff returned.(even if it has not arrived yet, I
do have receipt proof) I am out the beanies I sent her, that I have
no proof that she telling the truth about not receiving. Mandy

The one that claimed I damaged her beanies before sending them back "on
purpose to get back at her" as stated by her, is also the one that never
returned mine. (That I spoke of before) I asked her for proof of this fact,
and for my beanie to be returned. She would never return my emails. This

Update filed by: coll@sympatico.ca (Colleen)
I have received my items back from Mandy. Thankfully, they are in good shape, even though the box was in pitiful condition, and a couple of the items were sent without any tag protectors. Mandy's comments about the tracking etc., are nonsense, as she knows full well that she did not send it with "tracking" as we all know it, but merely with insurance. I did call her post office in Spencer IN and they said that they had no record of the number because it is not the kind of tracking that is actually trackable, but is only a receipt number for an insured package. Mandy has long been aware of the fact that she did not ship with "tracking." When I finally got her to confirm shipping to me, (after I told her that I'd called her local police and would be lodging a formal complaint if I didn't have confirmation from her by a particular date) she said that she had shipped but the number she had could not be tracked by USPS but only by her local post office, so she deliberately set it up so that I'd have to make long distance calls to try to find the package. Then, when I did get in touch with the post office there, they advised that they could not track the number until after it was delivered anyway. Mandy knew all of that, but she just likes to play dumb, and to pretend that she doesn't know how the post office works. So her comments about not knowing why the post office would say that are just lies. She has always known that it was merely an insurance receipt number, not a tracking number, and she knows that you cannot track these numbers, even though she says to you in her email that she "assumes you can track it." Further, she did not give me the phone number of the post office, even though I asked, until days after I told her I had already found it and called them. Further, on the receipt that she had a scan of, both my name and my address were wrong, but I know she had my correct address, and told her that I assumed the address on the package was correct and only the address on the receipt was wrong. This is indeed the case since the package arrived with the correct name and address, even though the receipt had both wrong.
The package she sent back to me was a mess, with two of the sides sliced open, with only little pieces of scotch tape holding them together, so it's amazing that the items even arrived here intact at all. It is clear that the box was sent in this condition, too, since when a package gets damaged in transit, it is taped up with large packiing tape, and often has a sticker put on it to tell the recipient of the damage.. in this case, it was just a pathetic packaging job and it's quite surprising that the items even made it. In any event, they have arrived, and while I'm still out the $25 that it cost me to ship my items to Mandy in the first place, I'll consider it a lesson learned, and will move on. I won't be trading with the likes of her again, though, that's for sure.
You should also know that Mandy is notorious for saying that SHE is the
one being ripped off while she goes about her little scams, and when someone
calls her on it, she then pretends to be innocent and naive and unknowledgeable
about how the post office works. She's even had her mother writing to me,
to tell me how "backward" and "naive" she is, etc. Anyway, good luck
in you

I had to mail it this morning..but it did go out. The number for it is
VV 549 689 417 US This is the beanies that Denise sent to me for my
righty. I was just curious how I am going to be compensated for all of these
shipping charges due to the fact that mine should hopfully arrive before
this one gets to her? All she has to do is refuse it and it will be sent
back without her having to spend a dime. Meanwhile I am out the almost $25.00
to send it to her. Plus the money I have already spent to send her the trade
in the first place. (that cost is fair due to the fact that she had a shipping
charge for her end to) I found it very silly when I know my end of the trade
was sent (slowly I will admit) to have to send this stuff to her just so
she can return it..maybe I am missing something I don't know. I do know this
has turned into a very expensive trade, and that I will not be dealing with
anyone outside the US any more. All the troubles I have had stem from over
boarders shipping. (not blaming them mind you, just stating a fact) Please
have Denise contact me to let me know if I will be receiving the beanies
I just sent, or my original one back. That way I will know if I need to start
trying to replace the ones she originally traded me. Thank you, Mandy

The Righty Beanie showed up on my doorstep today. It was mailed on May
15th not April 15th. She just sent it 9 days ago. It was authenticated on
March 12th by Peggy Gallagher. So Mandy did not send it when she said she
did and I had to sign for it, so she did know how to ship it properly. I
am not sure if I will keep him or keep my beanies that I sent to her. But
I would like to keep it until I get mine back. If I send it back and she
hasnt sent mine, then I would be out again and she would have everything.
I already e-mailed her to tell her that he arrived. I cant stoop
to her level and not let her know. She sent it Purolator and I had to sign
for it. For a little girl who doesnt know how to ship into Canada, I think
she did all right. It is still in the tamper proof container and the plastic
is still on it. The certificate looks to be good, allthough I have never
seen one in person. I guess I could contact Peggy Galliger and see if she
has it recorded somewhere. I agree that I got a good deal, Thats why I was
sure I had been duped. Now that I have opened Righty, I would have to pay
to send him back. I think I will wait for my beanies to come back and return
that box to her right away. That way she is out the postage for it at least.
She has not returned my last e-mail. I asked her why she felt compelled to
lie to me about shipping Righty when she indeed had not. And now she is calling
me a BAD TRADER. Now I am really Leary of trading and check out everyone
on the lists. I like to believe that the majority of people are good and
will not leave you empty handed like she did. I e-mailed her back for a second
time to ask her for the Confirmation Number on the package she was sending
back to me and she wrote back saying that she had already e-mailed it to
me. Which is still another lie. I have never recieved the number. I have
copies of all the e-mails from the very start, and if you, or anyone else
would like to see them, I will mail them off to you. Thanks for all your help
in this and I hope you put up a page on this woman and she gets banned from
trading and selling all together. I hate to think of her scamming a kid out
of there hard earned beanies. Regards, Denise

Cautionlist: Please note that Mandy did not mail the righty to Denise until
May 15- This was the date that I emailed Mandy about Denises' complaint.!!!!
Mandy stated that she had mailed it and she did not know why it had not arrived
yet!!! So she was lying. She did not send it to her at all until I had contacted
her about it and then lied about not knowing why it was not there yet. Of
course she knew why it was not there-- She had just mailed it that same day!!!!

Well, She was true to her word this time. I had the parcel with my beanies
arrive today and I just told the postman to return it to sender. This way
it doesnt cost me anything. I have kept the Righty and sent back the box
that contained the original trade, although, I dont know if all of those
beanies were in that box, as I did not open it. I am glad I did it this way
because it costed her an extra 23.00 to send me those beanies back. I
think I should let you know that my husband got involved after I recieved
another threatening e-mail from Mandy. He did not take kindly to her threats
and his e-mail had no holds barred to say the least. She is a two faced trader
and she lies through her teeth. I am glad that my dealings with her are over.
I have not been involved in a trade since, her little escipade has me a bit
shy to trade now. It is horrible how it takes a threat of legal action to
get her to do the right thing. Regards, Denise
