Comments: I purchased approx. 250 cherished teddies off these people. I never received 26 of them and most of them were the most expensive ones including "Chelsea". I tried to email them about the problem but they said they don't have them and refuse to answer any of my emails.

I sent her $220 for some Cherished Teddies items and she has not sent them to me , also she will not answer my e-mails. I have been contacted by serveral people who she has taken money from.

We set up a trade and agreed to send our cherished teddies out on Oct. 31st, Priority Mail Insured. I sent mine out, but she never sent hers. She emailed me saying she sent them, then she Emailed me a few days later saying she didn't get a chance to send them, then she Emailed me telling me that she dropped one and it broke. The one she said broke was not even one that was in the trade. Now she says that she never got my package.

This woman sought me out on a message board when I was looking for an ornament. She said that she had it and I sent her $86.00 for it. She never sent it to me or replied to the three emails that I have written. I know a lot of people have been taken advantaged of by her. If anyone would like to help me take action against her, email me.

Comments: Marilyn Gelegan e-mailed me directly after I posted a request for a doll on the WCN in Dec. 02.She claimed to have 2 of these dolls for sale.After exchanging several e-mails I sent her $145 as a money order.I then saw bad reports about her and questioned her about them.She became very abusive and tried to discredit me when I posted a warning on the WCN about her.I have not heard from her now for 5 months.

Responds to Ads for doll search bulletin boards etc., gets the money and never produces the item.Operates out of Portland,Maine..authorities would like to hear from you if you've been scammed by Marilyn or Carrie Gordan.

We have seen several posts recently about Marilyn Gelegan. She is another one that we have been doing battle with for over a year. (I WAS ONE OF HER VICTIMS TOO!) We have been posting the following information on several Cherished Teddies boards, thought it might help you too!

These criminals never quit! We are trying to keep as much information posted and available, in the hope that we can help others from being taken in by these criminals.

They are once again using names that they have used before, then stopped using. Here is a list of all the aliases we know of:

MARILYN GELEGAN, MARILYN GEE, MARILYN GEL,

MARILYN SECRET, TODD WALKER, MIKE HUNT,

According to the authorities in Portland Maine, they have used several internet IDs and IPs. These include the following (they use upper and/or lower case):

They have changed their mailing address from 158 Grant Street Portland ME 04101 to PO BOX 7437 Portland, MAINE 04112-7437.

The US Postal Inspector's Office has received over 100 complaints.

Please don't be shy about filing a report -- your complaint, along with many other complaints already on file, will help get these people out of circulation. Each time they use the US Mail to defraud someone, it represents another charge of mail fraud (a felony) against them.

Pa. Woman Sentenced For Internet Fraud

PORTLAND, Maine -- A former Portland woman was sentenced on Friday to a year in prison and ordered to pay $17,000 in restitution for defrauding at least 84 victims through Internet scams.
