On April 11, 2001, I won an auction for a Steg beanie baby from Michelle
Tierno for $219.99. Now, this was a "buy it now" auction and that's what
I did. Before I bought it, I asked her twice if it is authentic and she
guaranteed me that she bought it years ago at a Hallmark Store. I figured
it was safe to buy, so I did. When it came in the mail on 04-14-01, I just
had a feeling about it that it wasn't real. I e-mailed her on sunday and
asked her again if she bought it at a hallmark store and she has not gotten
back to me. I took this beanie to Becky Estensorro today 04-17-01 and Becky
said right away that it's a fake. She said the color of the material is wrong,
it's red tye dye and she said that they were made in browns not reds, and
it has fake eyes, fake tags and it's too big. I today e-mailed Michelle telling
her that I want my money back and now I'm writing to you to ask how can I
get my money back? Should I warn her that if she doesn't reply to my mails
that I will put her on the bad trader list or what should I do? I want my
money back and she can have the fake steg back after I get my money. Plmk
what I should do or what kind of help can you offer me? Thank you, Nielene
