On 25th Nov. I have mailed 2 Germanias and 3 The End Bears to
Mike Brown

917 S Denver
Stillwater, OK 74074
Tel 405-743-3141

His first email address was: mbrown@cowboy.net
He changed later to:  tmb44@yahoo.com
His user id on knk beanienation and ebay are all tmb900

on 20th Dec. I have asked what happening with his part of the trade. He answered that his computer has crashed and he has lost all his records. On 9th Jan. he appologised because he had personal problems. Sometimes later he wrote that he could not mail because he got some battys which where meant for me from an other trader where not mint. Finally on 20th Jan. he wrote that he got the Battys and that he will mail the same day. Since then I did not get his Beanies nor any answer to my emails.

I did receive 2 germanias from Andy but when I compared them with the germanias I had received from other reputable traders the 2 he sent were definitely not the same. I suspected they might be counterfeit so I took them to a local lady who has collected beanies for years that knows a lot more about them than I do and showed her the differences. She wasnt sure so we could not really make a definitive decision as to their authenticity. I should have simply sent them back to him but I had a few trades in the works and they involved germanias from my end so after giving it much thought I decided to send them to these people and see what they thought. One lady had no idea and the other wasnt sure either but decided to take them but in good conscious I didnt feel I could take full value for them seeing as how I suspected they were not authentic. I decided it was my fault for trading with an unknown and I was going to take the brunt of the loss for my bad decision. I then had a family emergency as my 16 year old daughter didnt come home one week-end and I spent weeks looking for her so I have not taken care of any beanie business for the past few weeks almost a month really. I will send beanies to Andy as I am not a crook and am very reliable I have just not had internet access for the past few weeks so I havent been able to get any messages sent out. I have multiple trades I need to take care of and I plan on emailing everyone today as I hope to be home for a couple of days before having to return to work and go to court again regarding my daugher. You can assure Andy I will get the beanies to him in a timely manner but family comes first so when I get this thing with my daughter straightened out and have the time I will get all of my beanie business taken care of. Please let me know you received this and respond to this email account as my other email is down and I am not sure what is wrong with it. Regards,  Mike

My name is Lisa Kuny and I live in Alberta, Canada. I am in need of your help with a beanie trader from Stillwater, OK. Here is the details from the start: On Jan.26/00 I answered an ad posted on KnK trader board for a new face brown beanie baby. Over the next 2 days and 5 or so e-mails we agreed to the following trade: 1:1 MY Maple for his NFB teddy. As I was new to internet trading he asked that I mail first. (I had no on line ref.) I have done trades before that were always arranged over the telephone, so I was not completely new at trading. I agreed to mail first and at 9:34, Jan. 28/00 I mailed out Maple. On Feb. 9/00 I emailed Him to see if he recieved his package. NO RESPONSE. On Feb.14/00 I emailed again. On Feb.15/00 he responded that he had been out of town, he had recieved Maple and " It looks great" and would post NFB the following day. On Feb.28/00 I emailed saying I had not yet recieved the package. NO RESPONSE. On Mar.01/00 emailed again. NO RESPONSE. March 2/00 I sent a third email, again NO RESPONSE. March 5/00 I emailed to both the email addresses I had for him and still NO RESPONSE.

On March 9/00 I sent email stating if he did not respond to me that night I would seek outside help and look into mail fraud. The following day I got email from him stating family problems, computer problems and that again he was out of town., but he would mail the bear the next day. I mailed him back again with my address and stated that I could understand problems and hoped his message was sincere. I told him I would wait but only 10 more days. ( I've never had a package from the States or the UK take longer than this!) It has now been over 24 days and again he is not responding to my emails. I have tried to telephone him as I got his number from information, but have had no luck there. I don't know what else to do so I'm turning to you for help and guidance.I have copies of all our emails and of my postal reciept. I have also been in contact with 2 other people he has had bad dealings with. All this info can be passed on to you if you need it.Just let me know. This person has 2 emails and a user handle. They are as follows: Mike Brown
917 S Denver
Stillwater, OK  74074
Ph:(405)743-0222
tmb2154@aol.com or mbrown@cowboy.net or tmb900

He is signed up with E bay, KnK and Beanie Nation that I know of. I have not left any feedback for him as I wanted to get your advice first. I have put trade inquiry on KnK about 2 weeks ago. Please contact me at your earliest convience to let me know if you can help and what else I need to do. I really want either My bear back or the bear he promised me. Both bears are valued at about 100.00 according to Mary Beth's so I'd like something back. I thank you in advance for your time. Regards ,  Lisa Kuny

I've been having some excitement with this Mike fellow and wanted to see if I was going to get some results before I got back to you. First off, I have had 14 people respond to me regarding thier deals with this guy. 5 are people who sent him beanies (and some very expensive ones) and got nothing, 9 had not got paid for auctions he had won. They,at least did not loose the beanies, but they had to deal with collecting back fees and re-auctioning their stuff. This guy is really something. Secondly, the phone number for US postal mail fraud investigators is 1-800-654-8896 or you can ask for an international rep.(I talked to Maria) and they will forward calls to appropriate person. They will then mail out an official mail fraud form with a self addressed return envelope. Some people think that if you trade you cannot file because it asks for value,I was told to place the value of the item I sent as that was a form of payment. Thirdly, I got a new phone number for this fellow and have actually spoken with him a few times this past 5 days. Same story,"I'll mail tomorrow." I just talked to him a few minutes ago and he said he mailed today and emailed me a track and trace number. I have not recieved this email so who knows!(Do you think you could find out????) Lastly, this guy has more than 2 emails(I only know 2 however) and has a handle on KNK. They are as follows: tmb2154@aol.com or mbrown@cowboy.net and his user name is tmb900.I have asked him to mail to an address I have access to in the US so if he did mail I should get this parcel by the end of the week.  thanks for the advice and any help your able to give in this matter. Lisa

Response from: tmb44@yahoo.com (Mike brown)

I am trying to take care of all of the trades and beanie deals I had that I was forced to put on hold. I have sent Lisa Kuny her NF Teddy and will send Andy 2 germanias along with battys for the end bears he sent as soon as I can track down his mailing address again and will take care of every trade I have received just as soon as I can find the time. I have missed weeks of work and will be forced to miss a bit more until my daughter is out of a treatment center but I will take care of all of the trades and beanie transactions I have not been able to in the next 2 weeks. Tell Andy to send me an email at mbrown@cowboy.net with his mailing address and I will get the beanies out to him this week. Mike

GOOD NEWS. I talked to my relatives in NC and she got my NF teddie yesterday. I had him send there as I was there on holidays and hoped it would arrive before I left, but it didn't. It will be forward to me this week so barring it being a fake, my deal with this fellow is done. I had him put a track and trace number on the package and I was able to follow it all week while in the US mail system. I also had email from another person saying she got mail from Mike stating he would mail her MO a week from Wed. I hope all others will be successful in getting thier stuff back. It took almost 3 full months and alot of time and long distance phone calls, but at least the end result is as it should have been! Thank you again for all your advice. Regards, Lisa

Mike Brown contacted me early February because he saw my ad on bn. I wanted to trade me Germania bb for a Seamore bb. He said he had one and so we exchanged adresses. We both agreed to send the beanies at the same time so I sent the Germania onFebruary 8th via Insured Mail (I still have the receipt for that).Since then I've never heard anything from him again. I've mailed him several messages but there was no reply. If you see any chance of either getting back my Germania or getting the Seamore I wanted, please let me know. Thank you very much in advance. I sent him $20.00 US through paypal plus MWM3T Maple and Pierre beanies for Splash and Flash. In our previous transaction i payed him close to $200.00 Canadian and he sent me Manny, Bubbles and Seamore and still owes me Radar which he was supposed to send along with Splash and Flash. I am now left to wonder if the three beanies he did send me are authentic or not. He has stopped emailing me since his suspensions from the various trade sites. I did email him telling him what my expectations were (to get authentic beanies i paid him for) or i would be taking legal action against him. PLMK if you require any more information and thank you for any help you can provide me.  kind regards,    Debbi

I am writing to tell you that the package finally arrived from Tom Brown. I am not sure why it took so long or why he would not reply to any of the emails. I would like to post on his page in the bad traders section that the package did arrive and although the tag on one of the beanies was not mint as he had described this transaction is complete. I would like to thank you for your help and time in this matter.   kind regards,    Debbi
