Traded for a counterfeit Libearty.
I did receive a reply from Mike Stowe regarding the Liberty beanie babie.
He said he would return my Buckingham beanie and Unity beanie. I asked him
to return it Monday Priority mail with delivery confirmation, and then I
would return Liberty. He told me he worked out of town and thought he would
return mine Tuesday.

Update January 29, 2002
I wanted to tell you that Mike Stowe, who traded me the fake beanie babie has not replied to my e-mails after 9 days. I went on CN again because there was a good feedback from someone who had traded a Liberty from him and I wanted her to have it checked out. When I went on the site I found Mike Stowe had been suspended by Cn Security. I also received an e-mail back from the lady who had received a Liberty from him and she told me that hers was indeed a fake and there are 3 other people on CN who the mediator is working with because he traded them fakes.
I will forward my recent e-mails from him where he says he is going to send my Buckingham and Unity Beanie babies back.

sent away for authentication and found to be a fake. Mike has not returned

I wanted to let you know that I got burned by a gentleman called Mike Stowe.
He is from Maine and traded me a fake Libearty. I sent him 2 Pierre beanies,
2 Untiy beanies and a Chinook. I thought you should know and that you should
warn other people about him. I did the deal with him on Oct 16 and believe
me, it took a months worth of e-mails to finally get my fake Libearty on
Nov 18/19. He said he had sent it but blamed it on the Anthrax scares for
the delays. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and it wasn't till 2 weeks
ago that I realized it was a fake. You see, another one of his victoms contacted
me because they saw that I had left some positive feed back for him and asked
me if I had really taken a good at my Libearty. After checking the bear against
some of the tips I got from Beaniemom.com I realized it was a fake.

Mike Stowe of Waterville Maine sent me a counterfeit Garcia after a 2 1/2 month wait. Since he longer had the beanies I sent him, he offered to refund me market value. However, he suddenly stopped corresponding and I have not heard from him for two weeks. This person cannot be trusted, he has also recently sent fake beanies to three others.
I would like to tell all traders that I received my Buckingham and Unity
beanie babies back from Mike today
