I bought a folding scooter from Scott Syska on yahoo.com. I never got my scotter nor my refund. The following will be copy of emails between us. I have lost $49.95 and there are others also who have been scammed by him.

This is a copy of e-mail sent by me to him after notification above. This was after I had confirmed that the check had been mailed and what color scooter my grandson wanted. When I didn't hear from him I wrote the following:

The following is an e-mail he responded back after I tried again to pin him down on a date, etc. I also mentioned about his "bad" comments and this is what he replied:

hi, i received your payment on tues. oct. 10th, it was deposited on the 11th. i then give 5 business days to allow the check to clear. i would have sent you an email on the 18th conforming that payment was received. being i received an email from you over the weekend i decided to get back to you now. shipping time is approx. 4 weeks, some people have failed to understand that or read that. the feedback you read came from those impatient people. it is stated in every single ad i have out there and is also stated in the conformation of payment received. some people don't understand that this is a business and they are not the only ones that i do business with. with the holiday season approaching everything is backlogged from me all the way to the factory i receive the scooters from, on some days i have over 100 emails to read and get back too, so as you can see it can be quit busy. as far as the women who claimed i took her money, it is totally untrue she started this whole thing just at around three weeks of ordering, her money was refunded to her in full and proper action is now going to be taken for this malicious act she insued upon my reputation and business. i felt that i needed to address this issue with you for you are a customer and need you to have confidence in my business. thanks for your understanding and patience, scott

Dear Scott: I understand you have business problems dealing with a lot of e-mails but when you enter into a business situation, you can expect problems. I would like money refunded rather than waiting for the scooter. With such bad comments Yahoo will probably not let you conduct business with them. I was well aware of the shipping times since I was the one who read your ad in full before ordering, however, I do not wish to continue this transaction. You may leave bad feedback on me if you so desire since I will NOT BE doing anymore auction business through Yahoo! Another suspicious matter was the different e-mails that you used. So please just refund money asap and we can call this transaction over.....thank you.
The next is an e-mail I received from him after the above message, it was dated 10/17:

hi i have filed a complaint with the fbi.. what else can i do beyond that
.. i sent scott a letter asking for either my money or the scooter.. no reply..
after 24 hours i sent him another email.. giving him the benifit of the doubt...
telling him he would recieve another 24 hours to reply to me which he failed
to do. on friday night at 12pm central time i filed charges with the fbi..
that was at least 6 hours beyond the 24 hour notice i gave him i am
sure there are a lot of us out there that is very disapointed.. thank god
i had not told my son about the scooter it was to be an xmas gift.. i am
a single disabled parent trying to raise my 2 boys with a little help from
their dad.. so every penny is precious to me as i know it is to everyone
out there now a days.. i hope when he does surface he can provide a believable
explination.. funny how he replies to some of the emails saying money been
sent or scooter been sent but not to everyone.. it is funny how he would
send a excellent buyer rating on lots of the people he got the money from...
i was not lucky enuff to get one i did know there was a 4 week shipping time..
that did not bother me because he informed me of that right off. hope we
call come out of this fine. i found a scooter on ebay that i bid and won..
with 2 - 3 days shipping time.. i would have rather stayed with yahoo. but
scott has put a bad taste in my mouth.. but i will be back !!!

Hi, I got your e-mail address off of Scott's seller ratings page. I sent
him a check for two scooters. He cashed the check on 10/13. I am very worried

Cautionlist emailed Scott many times. The tlscales1@yahoo.com is not a current
one but the ScottSyska@altavista.com is still current. He has ignored
all emails sent to him.

Hi, I was told you might be able to help. Scott Syska took my money from
Pay Pal $99.00 He finally sent me one scooter. I was not what I ordered.
Totally a different scooter. I ordered two, still waiting for one more. It
has been since 18 Sept that I originally ordered them. I am confident it
will not come. Can you help. Also Pay Pal does not seem to want to help.

Just received (this date) a money order for the full amount sent to Scott
for the scooter. However, I don't really know if "Scott" sent it or the other
person since the signature is unreadable. I went on the comments page
on Yahoo and let the other bidders know that he did refund.

GREAT NEWS!I SPOKE WITH THE FBI TODAY BY PHONE,THEY ARE RECIEVING COMPLAINT
BY THE HANDFUL DAILY,AND ARE NOW TRYING TO FIND HIM.IF YOU KNOW OF OTHERS
THAT HAVE NOT FILED A COMPLAINT PASS THIS ON ,THE MORE THEY GET THE FASTER
THEY WILL BE MOVING TO GET HIM. I JUST FOUND THAT HE GOT ANOTHER VICTIM ON
OCT.6TH FOR A SCOOTER,BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO CONTACT HER. IF YOU CAN PASS
THIS ON TO YOUR LIST OF PEOPLE ,SO I DON'T HAVE TO CONTACT THEM ALL SEPERATE.
THE FBI TOLD ME TODAY THEY HAVE OVER 12 COMPLAINTS NOW AND MORE COME IN EVERYDAY.

I finally received both of the scooters I ordered. Hope other have better luck. thanks for your help in this.
I was also taken by Scott Syska on a Scooter payment. I have received a leetr in the mail from him (postal mail) that he is behind. No telephone number or regular address. I only have a PO Box If anyone knows anything about how to get money back from him that he took. Please let me know Kerri Skaggs

Please everyone read this and then call colleen gunn with the postal service there in trenton@1-313-226-8230. She is going to help us stopp him!He just got another victim in oct,using the same name! I also talked with the fbi in nashville and he is going to try and get us help on getting him. Colleen told me that they do have to us a photo id when getting a p.o.box so hopefully that will catch him. This might be are best christmas preasent yet! I hope everyone is keeping all thier info they get on him to help each other out. He know has 21 victims in all so far. well I will stay in touch! yall all do the same. Angela

I got the card back from my certified letter but the Post Office didn't
have him sign it so I don't have his signature on it, but I guess he got
it. I called the PD in Trenton and talked to Liutenant Chris Rolak about
this. He gave me Scott's address.

I sent him all the paperwork I had and a brief summary. Maybe if we can get
enough people to call him he can get Scott since he is there and knows where
Scott lives. I was also thinking of calling the IRS about all this unreported
income he must be making. I also called the Better Business Bureau (248)
644-9100 and requested a complaint form. I am going to do everything I can
think of and call everyone I can think of to make his life miserable. I was
even thinking of calling a newspaper in his area and telling them about the
Scooter Grinch Who Stole Christmas. How about Judge Judy.

GREAT NEWS! I just recieved my refund and a letter from scott today and want to personally thank LT.ROLAK for his tremendous work on solving this case for all involved. If you have not recieved your refund and letter yet,I am sure it will be coming. I am personally sending LT.Rolak a cyber kiss and hug for all his work and help without him I really don't think I/we would have gotten our refund from scum bag! GOOD LUCK AND TAKE CARE! ANGELA
