This was a trade deal I did with him back in August of '97. I kept a record of it, and his name has never left my mind. I mailed him a Chops and he was to mail me a Libearty and a Peace. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, it was. I mailed Chops and never received anything in return.

After sending numerous nasty e-mails to him, I finally got an e-mail back from his father saying he was just a teenage boy and the father had no idea that his son was doing this scamming. Several others were scammed also by Sean.

My story has a happy ending though. I did get my Chops back! The father made Sean surrender it back to me. It was the exact same one I sent, so I was satisfied after receiving Chops back. My poor Chops, I have never tried to trade him again after this ordeal. He will forever remain in my private collection of Beanies! He has quite a story behind him. Every now & then I give Chops a big hug--he's happy now!! ~LuAnn
