I was wondering if you could give me some advice w.r.t. a trade gone bad.
I traded with Sharon Moore of Bear, DE and never received my end of the deal.
She has a good reputation on the boards, and has acknowledged receipt of
the Maple buddy (I also have the Air Receipt to prove this because she had
to sign for the package), but I never received my Osito buddies. The trade
was arranged around mid February and she received Maple buddy in early March.
I have also contacted Canada customs just in case the package was being
processed, but as far as they can tell it never even made it to Canada. I
have been e-mailing her and now she hasn't been answering my messages. I
hope you can help me. Her address and e-mail address are:

Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
Judy

I have been in contact with Judy. I did receive Maple Buddie and I did
mail 3 Osito buddies to her. I mailed them directly from our post office
and marked the custom receipt the exact way she asked me to. I also sent
her the receipt for the Osito buddies. Another beanie person was with me
at the post office when package was mailed. I do not know what to do at this
point, I have never had a package not show up. All other packages mailed
that day and around that day were received. I have offered to try to find
more buddies for her but somehow I think that is not fair to me. I have no
way of knowing that she did not receive package. I have not received the
package back from the post office. Please advise me of what to do, thanks,
Sharon

actually I haven't heard anything for awhile. I was not getting any responses
to my e-mails up until just before I sought help from you. At that time she
was not going to honor the trade, so I wrote her the letter I sent you also.
I'll write to Sharon now asking her to let me know when she is going
to ship. Thanks, Judy

I am sending back her Maple. I have not been able to find more Osito buddies
and quite honestly I really don't want to send more when I think she has
received the other ones. I prefer to deal with honest people, Sharon

I'll let you know as soon as Maple buddy arrives. From her note Sharon
feels that Osito buddies got here, but all she has to do is call Canada customs
with the number I gave her to verify that they never arrived. The customs
officers at the Calgary customs depot know my name there because of the
semi-regular shipments I receive from the States and just about every
beanie/buddy I get passes through them first so that they can calculate the
goods and serivces tax I must pay on them. Out of all the trades I
have done, I never thought I would have trouble trading for something as
ubiquitous as Ositos. Why would I go through so much trouble and risk
jeopardizing my "reputation" as it were on the beanie trade boards over something
I could have traded for or purchased long ago many times over. But, I don't
suppose it matters now since Sharon is convinced otherwise. Someone once
sent me a Libearty that arrived all by itself with a few bucks postage in
a bubble-wrap envelope. I was shocked, I don't know why someone would take
such risks just to save a few bucks. Again, thanks for your help. This
has rather taken the fun out of beanie trading, thanks for being a sounding
board. Judy

I am sorry I have not written back to you about your other email. I had
shoulder surgery and I am not able to get on the computer very much so tonight
when I got on I got both of your emails. My girlfriend mailed Maple buddie
for me and I will ask her for the receipt for mailing it. I know she sent
it registered so I would have a receipt and get back a return receipt. I
am very surprised that a secong package did not make it thre. I will go to
the post office on Sat.(I would go tomorrow but I am unable to drive so I
have to wait until someone is home from work to take me) and see what they
say. I have excellent references and really don't want them messed up. I
have never had a problem like this when the package never show up. I will
be back in touch with you after I go to the post office, Sharon
