On October 24th,2000,I was the high bidder for a rare Ty Beanie named Peanut. The auction # was 1935457. Description read This royal blue peanut is mint with mint tags. It was listed in the category for TY Beanie Babies:Rare Retired. My winning Bid was $231.98 plus Shipping. I paid $237 with a US Postal Money Order on 10/25/00 and sent this to Sheila Smith at 7810 Pioneer St, Richmond ,Va 23237. About a week later I recieved an Insured Priority mail package which contained a blue stuffed animal . I immediately suspected it was fake and was able to compare this to another light colored version of a TY beanie product. I immediately emailed Ms Smith at SmithScs60@aol.com. Told her that I suspected it to be fake and would have it verified by an Expert named Peggy Gallager. Sure enough Ms Gallager sends the Beanie back and declares it is indeed a Fake. I wrote back to Ms Smith and she writes back using the Email addy rhctc39@aol.com. According to Pam at CN Security a partner in crime. In any event she wrote back and basically said tough and that she thought it was the real thing . Pam has tried in vain to get her to return my money. Which now is over $300 since I went to the expense of getting this verified, postage etc . Just recently, I even sent Sheila a letter from an attorney, with the Lassen &Jaffe law firm .His name is Charles R. Marcus Tel # 505-246-0231. So far no results. Even contacted the FBI and Postal Officials. They never got back to me. I realize that I was a sucker but it simply isn't right and hopefully between you and Pam at least we can keep the heat on these people and save others from this scamming.
