Gosh, I really feel kinda stupid.....
I just found an e-mail message from her in my mailbox and she says she
has been "down with the flu".... and really hit her hard..She was sorry to
scare me or anyone else... and that she has my bears and will send as soon
as she gets my m. order.......She says, "please accept my apology"..... So,
I guess disregard my message to you.... but if I never see them, I will get
back to you for sure..Thanks......Sorry to both you...

I would like to submit a bad trader. Sheila Voshell, Colton, WA. using ahappygirl.@cheerful.com. Advertised in Ty Guestbook that she had all new releases. When I emailed her she said her aunts ships them from China. I sent $$ and got nothing in return (lucky I could stop payment in time). Others have had same problem. I contacted Colton, WA police and it is such a small town that believe this, they know HER. Please post as bad trader. thank you, Marlene

On 1/11 I responded to an add for new beanies - $10 each. I contacted Sheila Voshell and indicated I was interested in 3 of the new beanies as $10 each. I requested references which she provided. Sheila confirmed via email my order for 5 beanies and she would hold them upon arrival of my money order for $53. I sent the money order the next day and have never heard a word from her since. I have sent many emails and left messages on her voice mail. Once again, out money and no beanies.

I've just been viewing the caution list and saw Sheila Voshell's name
and e-mail address - this woman ran an ad on the Ty page on Monday 1/11/99
for the newest beanies for $9.00 each - I checked the traders list and since
her name didn't appear on it felt she was a safe risk - I ordered 8 new beanies
($73.00 money order for luke, prickles, tiny, hippie, nibbler, nibbly and
scat and $9.00 in cash the following morning for mooch) In her e-mail to
me she said "the response has been absolutely crazy" so I'm concerned that
I may not be the only person who's having problems with her. I e-mailed Shelia
and told her my money was on it's way and to let me know when it reached
her and the beanies were on their way to me - she wasn't going to send them
by priority mail but rather UPS and charged me $10.00 for shipping saying
she would e-mail me the tracking number when they went out.On the 19th, 20th,
21st, and 22nd I e-mailed her to see if she had gotten my money - she never
responded but none of my e-mails were sent back so I knew she was getting
them. On Saturday 1/23/99 I called information in Washington state and got
her phone number - called her and she knew who I was as soon as I said my
first name - she promised to get the 8 beanies out to me first thing Monday
(1/25/99) and I asked her to please send them by priority mail since $10.00
should have more than covered the cost of mailing 8 beanies - she said she
would and would also insure them - I also requested that she e-mail me on
Monday to let me know that all of the above had been done - no response -
she doesn't appear to fear being called a bad trader and I'm at a loss as
to what more I should do to get my beanies or my money - I certainly don't
want anyone else to be taken in by this person - I believe she has other
e-mail addresses and has evidently had problems before because she says in
an e-mail sent to another party that she "only accepts CASH, MONEY ORDERS,
CASHIERS CHECKS! I ship through UPS and will not ship COD. I have been stuck
with shippping charges in the past when buyers have changed their minds.
NO EXCEPTIONS! S/H is $5.00 up to 10 beanies and $10.00 after that. I do
not give out my home phone # or address due to problems in the past. I use
general mail since I am the only one who can pick up payments and I have
to show ID to get it. That is safe for all parties. If you have a problem
with this then I can't help you. If I sound hard I truly apologize I just
want to avoid any of the problems and dishonest people I have run into in
the past. Please understand Thank you, Sheila." This is information I got
about her on last night - had I known any of this on Monday 1/11/99 I would've
avoided her like the plague - I know she was advertising new bears on the
Ty page as recently as Wednesday 1/25/99 with the name beaniecrazy@lycos.com
- I have 2 addresses on her and her home phone number - I tried calling her
again today and got an answering machine - I think I've been very patient
considering that she hasn't even had the courtesy to contact me and I'm running
out of patience - I've been buying beanies on the Ty page for well over a
year now and this is the first bad experience I've had - it's been and expensive
one and I don't want anyone else to have to go through this - I'm continuing
to try to get my money or my beanies and any advise about doing so would
be greatly appreciated - please BEWARE of this person - if anything changes
I will post it here for all of you to see - thank you, Karen

I noticed that their has been 2 complaints about sheila voshel
Ahappygirl@cheerful.com
I have had a problem so far to she advertised new beanies at 9.00 I mailed
my money order approx 2weeks ago she has never responded to any of my emails
after that point so basically i think she is scamming she did give a reference
of a supposed woman whom she goes to church with and does sunday school with
her name is kirsten Riepma at (509)229-3491 and also a carrie goodroad with
no phone #. I spoke to kirsten last week and she assured me sheila was a
honest person and should have no troubles dealing with her and that she had
a family emergency (death) and had to leave town with her husband and should
have been back last week.I also tried calliing kirsten back today and a answering
machine answered for several member of the voshell family which sounds a
little strange. This woman has over 300.00 of my money and would appreciate
any info on her.

I have just discovered, like several other honest traders/buyers, that
I have been taken by this person. I saw her ad on the Ty page and got a
confirmation from her that she indeed had two Sammies and two Hippies for
my twin daughters. I stupidly send out the money order, and have e-mailed
her since. NO RESPONSE. Add her name to the top of the list, she is definitely
a SCAM artist.

On January 12, 1999 I send a check for seven of the new beanies to Sheila Voshell, "ahappygirl@cheerful.com. I have never received the beanies. I have repeatedly sent e mails to ask if she had received my check , if she had mailed the beanies to me, to please let me know what was happening. She has not responded to any of my e mails. Nor have I received my money back or the beanies.

I wanted to join what looks like other people in making comments and a bad trader beware notice on this person. Back on Jan. 25, I saw her ad on the Ty Page. I ordered two Germania bears, one Millenium Bear, and one 99 Signature bear from her for a total of $140.00 + $5.00 shipping for a total of $145.00. Unfortunately, I sent a money order. I didn't hear from her so I e-mailed her and she told me that she had been down with the flu and that my bears would be coming. Finally, I checked with the post office and there was a box from her. I should probably feel fortunate after reading some of the other complaints, but there was only one bear that I had ordered in the box and that was the 99 Signature bear. There were three other bears in the box but not the two germania bears or the millenium bear. I have tried to make contact with her and she will not respond. This is the first time that I have ever gotten burned and I hope that it is the last.

I would like to add a complaint against Sheila Voshell. She is using
"s_voshell@hotmail.com". On 3/27/99, Sheila and I agreed on a trade. I sent
her Fuzz, Millenium, and Hippie. In return I was to get Digger, Waddle Buddy,
Pinky Buddy, and Squealer Buddy. I sent out my beanies as promised. As of
today, I have not recieved her end of the trade or my beanies back. Please
add my complaint to her long list.

Update from: bcoody@us.ibm.co
I wanted to update you with some info regarding Sheila Voshell - In January
I added info to the trader beware board regarding Sheila. Last week I received
paperwork from the police department in Sheila's town. The paperwork was
in regards to the charges against her for second degree theft. I redocumentated
my transaction with Sheila. She does have charges pending against her. Looks
like, according to the boards, that she might still be up to trading!!! She
is charged with Theft 2. The paperwork I received is from Whitman County
Prosecuting Attorney.Thanks! Bev Coody

In Jan 99 I sent money for payment for several beanies. I never received
the beanies. The person said she would send my check back. Never received
it. Now I received my bank statement and the check was cashed in Dec 99.
I sent $59.00 - for six beanies plus $5.00 shipping. My check # 5261. Sent
a letter back in Feb. to Bill Pewitt at the police department in Colton,
WA. I called the police department in WA and he told me a warrant is
out for her and it is just a matter of time before they pick her up. They
believe she is now in Idaho. Told me he still had all my documents and I
told him about my canceled check. Said all we can do now it to wait
till they get her. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. Judy

Woman accused of Beanie Baby scam
>From our staff -
Colfax _ A Colton, Wash., woman accused of selling Beanie Babies over the
Internet and then not delivering the dolls made her first appearance in Whitman
County on Friday. Sheila Voshell was arrested on felony theft charges last
week in Western Washington. She arrived in Colfax Thursday night for her
first appearance Friday. Prosecutors allege Voshell was selling Beanie
Babies over the Internet from Colton and then failing to provide the popular
dolls after customers had already sent her cash. Colton Police Chief Bill
Pewitt uncovered the scam. "It's the Beanie Baby caper," said Whitman County
Prosecutor James Kaufman. "She was not delivering on what she was promising."
Voshell also had outstanding warrants out of Nez Perce County in Idaho. She's
scheduled to be arraigned this month What are your thoughts on Woman accused
