Yukon Woman Accused Of Selling Fake Beanie Babies Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson says a Yukon woman has been selling fake beanie babies on the Internet.
The woman's attorney says his client is a victim.
Edmondson says Shellie Brassfield was selling 50 cent imitations of the collectible toy for 75- to 100-dollars and has filed a civil lawsuit against her. Some authentic beanie babies are selling for up to two-thousand dollars on Internet auction sites.
Brassfield attorney Jack Pointer says Brassfield thought she was selling authentic beanie babies after buying them from another person online. Pointer says people who bought the toys were repaid and Brassfield offered to take back the merchandise. Edmondson disagrees, saying customers claim Brassfield won't return their e-mails and wouldn't accept a request sent by certified mail.

Shellie Lindley frauded me out of 119.50 by selling me 2 contertfeit beanie babies on march 18th I just found out. I wrote her an email earlier this week and she responded by saying I didnt sell you any beanies under this email- the wannabacowboy one. I sent her my addresses Ive had and the ones she used in her emails. she responds by filing a complaint against me for a charge backon reversal of payment

I know this why312@yahoo.com works because of her reversing the payment I made to her and then trying to do another transaction on my paypal account

Comments: On 4-20-01 I won an orange :Digger: on trakmeat@yahoo.com's auction, #581037690. I sent payment 4/21 Certified Mail, RRR, Restricted Delivery. The main address I was provided was 517 Westview Dr., Yukon, OK 73099. Shellie Lindley signed the receipt. I paid $39.06 for the beanie with a total 0-0-p cost to me of $51.75. I was a little surprised when the header for her corrspondence showed it coming from "Alfred Souza", <trakmeat@yahoo.com>. About the same time wannabacowboy2000 on eBay was NARU. Her instructions had been to send payment to the same address:i.e., 517 Westview Drive, Yukon, OK 73099. I had not pulled contact for this ID. The beanie arrived having been shipped from Okla City. It was a sad, soiled, excuse for an orange Digger. It was so obviously fake that I didn't have it authenticated but can still do. The box had the return address of 517 Westview Drive, Yukon, OK 73099 but no sender's name. As wannabacowboy 2000@yahoo.com I had pulled contact which came back as Michelle Cardux, Hillsborough, NC, phone 405-954-5488. I had "won" an auction 1224649426 ($78.01 for a Billionare beanie) with instructions to pay Shellie Lindley at the Yukon address. She was NARU'd before the transaction was consummated. A header from her correspondence showed it was from "hoth shot" (not a typo) <wannabacowboy2000@yahoo.com.> I had offered to pay Shellie double the end of auction price to have the beanie authenticated. There was no response from her.

I won Ebay auction #1629631406 for a fake beanie Trap. I immediately did a user information request (HINT HINT --- AS EVERY ONE OF YO SHOULD DO BEFORE SENDING MONEY TO A TOTAL STRANGER)) and she was registered as Barbara Ray, Austin, TX with an 800 number. When she supplied the pay to info. it was Shellie Lindley, Mustang, OK 73064. When I questioned her (knowing he trap was fake and with no intention of paying) she dialed my listed phone number and said it was not valid and insisted I supply her with valid information first. WHAT A JOKE!!! SHELLIE, we have caught on to your little scheme here. Now I need help getting baaabbbs suspended for selling fakes on ebay. Her registration is invald - if several of you help by sending complaints to safeharbor@ebay.com, perhaps those weaklings at Ebay will give in and suspend this known criminal who has lots of complaints under other names. While you are at it, go after budice8 - we got him suspended, but he is back with hundreds of auctions for counterfeit goods - there is no stopping this crook!

To expand on Lee's complaint above, recent user IDs for this person are christmas*gifts, mental*case and day4.5. All listed from Yukon OK or thereabouts. Name used Shelly Brassfield. If you were one of the dozens who bought rare beanies from her you'd better get them checked out. Ebay suspended her today under day4.5 and mental*case was suspended earlier this month. Contact information for both these IDs was the same.
