Stephanie Duncan aka L1A4G3

In a nutshell the following happened. Stephanie had posted a trade on the message boards. This was about the middle of November. I answered it and we agreed to a trade, (3) of my beanies for (1) of hers. We both swapped addresses and mailed, and less than a week later we each got our packages. NOTE: She has an APO which the post office tells me is in Korea. We continued talking and she indicated she had other beanies for trade and she was looking for buddies. My daughters had decided not to collect buddies any longer so we decided to trade them. We agreed on a trade which included (6) of our buddies for (2) of her beanies. We both agreed to ship out asap. We spoke a few more days as we had many more buddies she was looking for. We agreed on another trade which included (10) buddies and (2) beanies for I believe (6) of her beanies. Again we both agreed to ship asap. She was concerned as the post office told her anything mailed after December 04, 2000 was not guaranteed to be delivered by Xmas. About a week later we spoke and she asked what she was supposed to send to me as she had forgotton and had been very busy. I told her and she indicated it would be airmailed out right away. We agreed on another trade for (6) more of our buddies, however I did not mail although I told her I did. After about another 7-10 days I e-mailed her stating I still had never recieved anything and that the package I last mailed her was returned to me damaged (this was the last one I did not mail out) She did not awknowledge that e-mail, the one prior to this or any of the ones sent later. The last e-mail I sent her I told her people have posted her handle and name on the message boards as a bad trader and that I finally figured out she ripped me and my daughters off and that we hope it was worth it for to do so. I spoke with a MsSSparks who had rewquested on the trader board anybody having dealings with Stephanie Duncan. We spoke and I found her statement somewhat similar to ours as she was ripped off for (8) beanies. She stated she has been in touch with others who have also been ripped off by Stephanie. If you need anything furthur do not hesitate to contact me. Thank You Steve Tatham

I had contacted Stefanie regarding her posting for Britannia Beanies on KNK. We came to an agreement on a trade for 2 Britannia Beanies. I mailed, and supposed she mailed. I received one box with 1 Britannia Beanie (made in Indonesia...it definitely looks like a counterfeit. The quality was very poor.) And, the box wasn't even sealed properly; it had a rubber band around it. I then tried to contact Stefanie...to no avail. It was at least 4 to 6 weeks when she sent me an e-mail saying how sorry she was that it took so long to get back to me, and what did she still owe me, that she would promptly mail it out. Well, I'm still waiting.  No beanie and no more replies.  The worst thing about this was the 2 Britannia Beanies were for kids for Christmas...Oh, well. And, the second worst thing was that it was the first time I had been scammed. And, that is not a pleasant experience. I received your e-mail address to contact regarding "bad trades". I hope this will help someone else in the future from not getting scammed. Thanks,  "pjndj"

No one had a problem until i had a negative feedback now everyone didnt get theirs? I dont believe that for a second. I have my shipping receipts and the stamped customs forms . I can not send with a delivery confirmation and now that is hpw people are saying that i did not send. Im not going to get screwed both ways. I have snet back beanies and i expect mine back as well. SO why dont you do something about that!

hi there...I have had a trade going with stefanie duncan since early to mid nov...she has been answering my emails again for the last 2 weeks....she even sent back for of the asst beanies we sent her and says all the rest of the beanies & buddies my kids had traded her will be sent back on Monday....in the first trade we were to get a Maple and Britannia beanie they arrived but are fakes....the second trade was to be Nipponiax2, Libearty beanie authenticated in box with papers and Germania beanie but they never showed up. I was originally told they were sent within a week of the first box then was eventually told they were mailed Dec 12th but still no sigh. She has since mailed back 4 beanies and another fake Maple, one beanie that was sent back was NOT part of our first trade and she left out 2...then she asked me to mail back the fakes she has sent me so she can authenticate them....they are sitting here in my closet waiting for her to mail back the OTHER 8 Buddies and 10 beanies we are missing. As I said she wrote tonight and said she would send back on Mon but that she doesnt have one of what I am telling her I sent so who knows what we will wind up getting back....any info you can give me that you have received will be greatly appreciated as I really dont have any idea how many bad trades she has made. She told me 6 people including myself are missing their boxes that she in fact did mail.

I was told to email you about a problem I am having with a person named Stefanie Duncan who uses an APO address and has gotten quite a few Ty beanies and over 10 buddies from me and I haven't received anything from her. I got the trade over the KNK Collectibles board. I have emailed her and have not had any response. I really want something done so that she doesn't get away with this. I am out a lot of money, but I want to stop her before she does this again. What can be done? I feel since she used the APO address, maybe we could do something through the government...I just don't know and I'm hoping you can help. Thanks, Bev Morris

sorry but Im not married either. No one wanted them sent form a korean post office because it takes to long. If I would have known they were fakes I wouldnt have paid so much for them . That would have been dumb on my part dont you think. Those arent the complaints that I have right now anyway because all of those trades have been returned. As far as the lost mail, I know it will show up so I will just wait because I have done nothing wrong. So you can go ahead and proceed however you wish. I have done everything that I can do from here as far as having items traced so all I can do now is wait and see what happens. I am tired of the rude emails that I get from people that I dont even know now everyone seems to have traded with me , People that i have never delt with nor eard of but i guess they arent doing anything wrong are they? I dont know what they expect from me but Im not giving tem anything since i have never delt with them. There are 6 people that are missing packages and I will make sure they have the beanies that they are missing plus their beanies because Im not going to be the bad person here. But as far as these others. I dont know them and Im not going to give them anything. Thanks   Stefanie

This is a follow-up to my original complaint as well as Stephanies response. I have had no e-mails from her as to when items would be mailed back. It has been a month since she left a response that she was mailing everything back. I appreciate the efforts of ElfTrudy from AOL and others who have attempted to assist myself and the many who appear to have also been bitten by Stephanie. I have spoken to a member of the Army's C.I.D. Note: Stephanie is not in the Army. who is stationed in Korea and he states that their are a ton of fake beanies and assorted their. If you deal with somebody from Korea, please be careful in your dealings with them. If I was the grieved party as Stephanie says she is, I think I would have at least communicated with these people rather than totally ignoring them. We have all learned a lesson here, especially my younger daughter whose buddies we sent to Stephanie. I will replace them for her, but it hurts to think there are people out there who pray on all the good meaning people who try to enjoy their hobby.

..please help. I have been trading for sometime now, and I got burned by Stefanie Duncan. I won an auction on december 27, 2000 on ebay for 110 Beanies. The total came out to $440 USD. The auction number is #531280843. I sent payment through billpoint (ebay pymt thingy)....she indicated she sent the beanies, in 2 boxes but I have yet to receive a thing. She doesn't answer emails anymore, she seems to have been suspended from ebay...is there anything I can do, or you can do to help?....I appreciate it...thanks...Ed

I entered into a trade agreement last November with Stefanie Duncan. I traded her 7 buddies for a Britannia. I rec'd the Britannia but later found that it was a fake. I e-mailed Stefanie about this and she replied that she knew the Britannina was a fake. I e-mailed her several times discussing the matter and it was agreed that she would pay me $40 for the fake Britannia plus $4.00 postage to return the fake to her. I haven't rec'd anything from her and now she will not answer my e-mails. I have corresponded with another person who was scammed by Stefanie and they recommended that I e-mail you about her. Please let me know if you need any additional information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
