Back in January, I sent off money on a presell of beanie babies and beanie buddies to a VERY reliable source, Bill Smith's Coins and Gems in Ocala Florida. I had dealt very successfully with Bill in the past and never had any problems. In fact, if there were any problems with the supply or if delivery was going to be later, I was immediately informed.

Since then, he has sold his business or something like that to someone named Barb of Barb's Collectibles. My order was never filled and I have been told that they have part of the order but that is all they tell me. They also said one item has been hard to get. I suggested a refund and they said "yes, we may have to do that" and that is the last I have heard. I recent sent an email and said " You have part of the order, but will not send it. You agreed that I may need a refund, but will not send that, either." This was on July 24th.

I have won an auction on E-Bay from a place called Barbscollectibles in Fl.I won an auction she had up for the TY Lex beanie baby and sent out a payment the very next day with Signature confirmation. She got the payment and had signed for it.Payment was sent out on the 1st of Nov and she signed for it on the 3rd.I sent a notice to E-Bay of my complaint and they said they would send her a reminder. She neaver sent my beanie that she told me she had in hand and ready to ship.I noticed that she had more Lex beanies listed on the bay for auction, all I can think of is those poor people.I have posted on the BBOT on the TY trading board about her and I was shocked at the other people having had or is still having trouble with this same person. The address I had for her was Tammy Smith 19 Almond Road Ocala,Fl and her shop is listed as Barbscollectibles on E-Bay,from what Im hearing from other people that is emailing me about her she also has a coin shop at this same address. If you state you have a beanie in hand and ready to ship as soon as payment arrives then I expect my beanie. If there is a problem then one should say so.I only got a reply from her only AFTER I complained to E-Bay about her,she told me my beanie should show up any day but so far NO beanie. She cant say she didnt get my payment as she has with other people as she had to sign for it and did. Thanks so much for letting me vent and lending an ear,all I can say is Beanie Baby lovers BEWARE of this person, thanks,
Carolyn

Update: I have finally got my Lex beanie that was owed me.

I am invovled in a sale that has gone very bad. On October 4, 2004 I won three auctions on ebay all of which were from the same seller. The items involved were the 2004 UK love trio. I paid a total of $177.76 for all three auctions. These were presale items. I really didn't bug her until December, because I knew these items were in short supply. In early January I asked is she knew when they would arrive. At that time she offered me a refund. I asked here if there was any possibility that she would get the beanies, and she told me she had over "$20,000" tied up with overseas dealers on these beanies. I told her I would hang in there a little longer. On January 22nd I asked for a refund to my paypal account. I did not receive a reply from her or a refund. Again, on January 29th I emailed here giving her the ebay item numbers and asked for a refund in the amount of $177.76. I still have not had a reply from her. I really believe she was stringing me along because she knew, and I didn't, that neither ebay or paypal will do anything after 90 days. Her name is Tammy Smith and her email address is treasuresfromtammy@yahoo.com.

I won an ebay auction (Item #5937531398) on Nov, 24, 2004 of Tammy Smith/Treasuresfromtammy, from Ocala, Florida, for a Pippo beanie baby, and as of today, Feb 17, 2005, I have not received the item or a refund. Payment of $16.40 was made thru Paypal on Nov. 26, 2004.

Last email I received was her was from 1/21/05, and she is no longer replying to my emails. I emailed her on Feb 12 requesting a reply and a refund if item was not shipped. I now notice she is suspended from Ebay. I also notice she used unfair selling methods, being she filled an auction (same item) won by another, a week after mine (feedback was left on this).

I have her address, as requested by me in November as I was planning to paying with a m.o. Her phone number was sent to me by ebay when requested, but another person who also has not received their item, tells me it has been disconnected.

At the time of the auction, her feedback was ok.. a few negative reply on shipping over 40 days... but she claimed to have filled hundreds and I would received mine....her reply on 1/21: "I have been able to ship over 650 of them so far. I am shipping as fast as they arrive, and I am sorry about the delay. If you would prefer a refund, please let me know. Please accept my apologies...." I replied I would wait.

I have left negative fb on ebay, have sent a complaint to ebay, and traderlist. Because the auction ended over 45 days ago, paypal can not help me.

I'm being defrauded by a seller on Ebay. I've tried contacting the seller several times but I never get a response. The seller was offering items for sale on Ebay that were buy it now with immediate payment required. I had to pay for each item before I could win the item. That included shipping for each item. I sent an email to the seller asking how I could combine shipping because I wanted to buy three items. She told me to go ahead and pay for each one through paypal and let her know when I made payment and she would then refund the difference. Well I haven't received the refund of $10.90 that I'm owed. Shipping costs were supposed to be $6.95 for the first item and $1.50 for each additional item.

This seller offers many of her auctions in this format. I think others should be warned of her scheme.

Here's the sellers pertinent information:

Ebay id : barbscollectibles
Barbara Wilsey
Email: barbscollectibles@hotmail.com
Daniel Wilsey (Ebay shows the account under this persons name)

Ocala, Florida

I really hope you can help me.

Subject: Tammy Smith

Tammy Smith is a fraud! I paid for my Pippo with a money order and she told me she received it. A month later I asked where my Pippo was and she said just wait. I have written over 20 e-mails to her asking where Pippo is and she doesn't respond. Sounds like a fraud to me!

On Dec. 8th, I won an auction for Pippo the Beanie Baby from Tammy. I sent payment through PayPal that same day and waited for my purchase to arrive. After 3 weeks, I e-mailed her to see if there was a problem. Tammy replied that all was well and that she had already supplied this Beanie to many buyers. She thanked me for my patience and that satisfied me at the time. About 2 weeks before the 60 day limit for an Ebay listing expired, I tried to contact her again, but this time was very different. Five e-mails requesting a refund, sent one every other day, were unanswered but not returned as undeliverable. When I got her phone number from Ebay, I found that her phone was programed to not accept incoming calls. Tammy has literally cut herself off from contact with any of her customers and has not delivered purchased items nor offered refunds. Clearly a case fraudulent business practice.

I have been had by Tammy Smith, and here is my "POST"! I won a PIPPO on Dec. 2,'04 @ 11:29:27 PST! I won with a Winning Bid of 12.94 plus shipping of $5.95, a total of $18.89 via personal check and the number of the check is #2619. she emailed me end of Jan. or so, and I sent 2 emails then requesting a refund for the amount I sent! never heard from her again, and just emailed her several nites ago to pay up or she will lose "her name" which she already has! she had mentioned that she was shipping them out as fast as she could, and mentioned in one email to me that she had arnd. 750 to ship, then next time it was arnd.630 or so! I emailed her back and said, it's ok as long as I get my PIPPO, if she is really that busy, I understand, but to also keep me informed at how things are going, and never heard from her again! With this happening, and sending money in good Faith, and looking at her Feedback score, everything looked ok, and I never had any problems with any other sellers! THIS ONE IS BAD!!! Thankyou for reading my complaint, and giving us a chance to "soundoff"!!

Initially the seller emailed me to let me know that 3 of the items I had purchased was holding up the rest of the shipment. When I asked if she would just send me what she had and forward the rest later, she stopped responding. That was on Jan. 21, 2005. Numerous other emails were sent asking for some type of resolution and all have been ignored. They have not come back, so I know she's getting them. I also requested contact info from eBay and found that the phone number provided was no longer in service. I checked into this person's eBay rating and found that I am not the only person experiencing problems with this seller recently. Some negative replies were posted as recently as yesterday. I paid $91.88 for everything via PayPal but cannot get any help from PayPal or eBay because the statute of limitation has run out. I did write her a letter and sent it with return receipt and got the receipt with her signature on it, so I know she got it, but I have not gotten a response to it either. I would appreciate assistance in filing a complaint with the Ocala, Florida authorities so that this person doesn't rip anyone else off.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Grace Amann-Viola

Back in Aug 23, 2004 I won an auction from treasuresfromtammy other wise know as Tammy Smith, for the Discover Beanie Baby. I paid via paypal, she gave me the run around about how she could not deliver the beanie because of hurricanes. Then it was because her so called helpers in Canada were unable to find Discover. Then it was she was only able to get a few and she was going to ship mine out as soon as she got others in. I have still yet to receive. If anyone has any questions please e mail. I'm hoping that she will soon be in serious trouble soon.
