On February 13, 2001, I was contacted by Tanya Woods via e-mail. She said
that she had seen on ebay that I had bid on a Ty Thank You bear beanie baby.
She stated that she had one for sale. She said that her granddaughter had
a beanie collection and that she hated to sell them, but her granddaughter
needed the money for a car to attend college. She offered to sell me the
Thank You bear for $155.00 and to let her know if I was interested. I e-mailed
her back and told her that I was interested, if she still had it available.
She e-mailed me back immediately and told me that she did still have it available
and I agreed to purchase the beanie. On February 15, 2001, I mailed her a
money order in the amount of $159.50 (cost plus shipping). I e-mailed her
to let her know that I had mailed the money and asked her to please let me
know when she received it. I never did hear from her and I sent several more
e-mails asking if she had received the money. She finally e-mailed me back
on February 21, 2001, and acknowledged that she had just received the money
order and that the bear would be in the mail the next day (February 22, 2001).
I waited until Tuesday, February 27, 2001 and again e-mailed her several
times to ask her if she had, in fact, mailed the bear when she said she did
because I was concerned that it had not arrived. She ignored my e-mails for
a couple of days and then she finally e-mailed me back and stated that the
same day she mailed the bear, the post office was hit hard by a storm. I
started asking her for a tracking number at that point so that I could check
on the status and she would never provide me with one. At this point, I became
quite suspicious and started doing some of my own investigating. I checked
her name on ebay and came up with her user ID of Eye of the Tiger. I found
that she had some negative feedback for not mailing merchandise after it
was paid for and I found out that she had been suspended from ebay for this
very reason. I found this out from a woman that she had ripped off. I contacted
her through ebay's mail service and she contacted me directly and told me
that I was right to be suspicious of Tanya - that she was a lying, conniving
person that had ripped her off of money and merchandise. As I got more and
more suspicious of Tanya and started confronting her with what I had learned
about her, she became increasingly hostile and nasty. She started to say
that I was harassing her over a beanie and that she was going to leave bad
feedback on me. She then sent me an e-mail telling me that she had the delivery
confirmation slip back from the post office which proved that I was a liar
- that I had received the bear. Funny, she never could provide a copy of
said delivery confirmation or a tracking number. This woman not only ripped
me off, but then she tried to turn the whole situation around and try to
smear my good reputation. I also did some more checking around and contacted
some other names that were on the original e-mail I received from Tanya where
she offered to sell the bear to me. Sure enough, a woman named Julayne contacted
me back and stated that she had been offered the bear as well and she had
sent Tanya $161.00 for the bear at least two days after Tanya knew that I
had sent her a money order for the same item. Julayne was also ripped off
- she never received the bear either. I contacted Square Trade to try to
resolve this dispute. Tanya stated that she had sent all documentation to
Square Trade proving that she had sent me the bear. I have e-mails from Square
Trade telling me how sorry they are that this person never contcated them
and that they can only resolve matters with two willing participants. This
woman is a liar and a crook and I hope I can keep someone else from being
cheated by her. I have copies of all the e-mails she sent me as well as a
receipt for the money order. My reputation as a buyer on ebay is impeccable
- I'm sure not the one that was suspended for questionable practices.

I mailed the tracking info to ebays trade on brons bear, and they recieved it. You will need to contact them safe harbor to get the informatin, bron recieved it according to the post office's tracking system. He has found someone that I have had problems with and is trying to get his cake and eat it too and I am also filing charges for harassment. Not all sellers are bad people but there are people out there who help crooked people get their merchandise and get money back also. I have emails from people who have had dealings with Bron and the same things happpen. He wants his money back saying he never recieved merchandise.

Safe harbor from ebay has all informtion on this. I have no idea who you
are I have never heard of you before and I would just feel better if you
went through safe harbor on this. Bron has been threatning me and I know
exactly what he is up too. He has had others writing me and I am just not
sure that this is not more of the same.

I posted an earlier complaint against this person. She ripped me off for
$159.50 for a Ty Thank You Bear that she never sent. She ran this scam on
several people and is still doing it. Just wanted to update everyone that
she is now using a new e-mail address which is missann252@netscape.net. I
also found out from the post office that her real name is Tonya Lacey. Postal
authorities are now investigating her. BEWARE of any solicitations from this
woman!!

She emailed me had a Thank Bear for sale I paid by Postal Money Order.
She claimed never received it. Got a copy and called the bank where it was
cashed and they told me her signature matched exactly. I demanded a refund
and she asked for my address and apologized for any inconvenience but never
sent refund. I noticed she is on the bad traders list but with a different
email address.
