I agreed to a trade for a britannia for my dvd signs, off a post on up4trade..I sent my dvd 1-13-03 air mail..and tracey was to send the britanna the same time, which she stated she sent air mail also..a few weeks later she stated she recieved the dvd, i told her i was still waiting on the beanie, on 2/9, still nothing i let her know, and i would wait a bit longer just incase it went slow boat. 2-20 still nothing and i asked her again, did it come back, and does she hav another one to send it never showed up.i emailed her again 2/25, 2/26, 2/27 with no ansewes. then again on 2/27 asking why i have not gotten a reply when she was answering, and if i need to ask traderslist for help with this matter, and i would give her a few days just in case she is out of town..I then got a reply on 2/27 from another email addy of andrew90210@blueyonder.co.uk, she stated she was ill, and as to the britannia beanie, she really didnt see what she could do to help.That she had nothing to replace it with, and she has sold her collection.she also stated since no agreement was made what to do if it went missing, there was nothing she would do. I then asnwered her back asking to either send a replacement , another beanie or pay for the dvd and shipping. she replied back once the parcel left the post office she wanst responsiable for it, i asked for proof of shipping , which she did not produce, stateing they only hav e small green sticker put on it with no ref number or anything she would get a copy of. she also stated she cound not aford to pay for the dvd. she then stated she doesnt think there is anything she can do, she dont trade anymore, she dont sell anymore, and she dont have any beanies. and states since no arrangements were made about loss in the post before we posted she is not obliged to do anything, and if i felt i needed to file a complaint then do so..this is the mailing info:

I have tries to work with her in getting the beanie replaces, or another sent, or payment for it. she has flately refused to do anything over this. I do have all our emails to back up what she has stated. If anyone has dealt with her plmk.

I understand what you are saying but I have no proof that the beanie didnt
arrive and i cant afford to pay for the dvd especially $25 - could buy it
cheaper in my home town than that. I really dont think there is anything
i can do - i dont trade anymore , i dont sell anymore and i dont have any
beanies any more. We did not come to any arrangement about loss in the post
before we posted so really I am not obliged to do anything I sent the beanie
to you so I fulfilled my part of the arrangement - it is out of my hands
once the parcel goes to the post office. If you feel you have to file a
complaint, then go ahead as there is nothing I can do about the situation.

In response to the email you sent me regarding a trade with a lady in
USA. I did receive the item she sent me and I also sent the item which was
a Britannia beanie baby to her. I do not have proof of posting as I have
posted nearly 200 parcels abroad in the past and all have arrived safely.
I have already told this person that I do not have a replacement beanie to
send to her. I cannot understand why she has been in touch with you. I am
not an unreasonable person we could have sorted this out ourselves. I have
lost the beanie I sent to her which was worth far more than the item she
sent me. I do not appreceiate being threatened with my local police. What
am i supposed to do? I dont have a replacement. I dont have her address
anymore.

look I kept my part of the deal - i sent the beanie as promised
How do i know she hasnt received it? Do you have any proof to send that
she didnt receive the item. I have many many people I have traded with over
the past 18 months who will vouch for me and say that I am not a dishonest
person. I have nothing to send as compensation. Will all the problems in
the world at the moment I am sorry she has nothing more to worry about than
a stuffed animal. Please do not contact me again or I will file complaints
with the necessary people. As I have said already I have no proof she didnt
receive the item. I can also file fraud complaints with the necessary people
as i have no proof that she didnt receive the beanie
