We have created this page so that traders may post messages concerning their experiences with counterfeit dealers. These messages are solely the opinions of those who post them, and not necessarily the opinions of anyone at Traderlist.com.  The messages are posted purely so that others may make informed decisions and use caution when dealing on the internet. This information has not been researched by Traderlist.com.

Protect Yourselves!
When you purchase a beanie from someone, or trade for one, please request that the seller/trader put a string through the tush tag of the beanie and fasten the ends of the string with a folded over return address label stuck to itself and the ends of the string. (The kind you have to moisten work best, but if self-stick are used, they should be reinforced with clear tape.) Before you ship a beanie to anyone, please do the same thing. If for any reason the transaction has to be reversed, you and the other trader will be assured that the same beanies that were received will be returned IF the string and label are intact. When purchasing or trading, also ask the other trader for the letters and numbers inside the tush tag of the newer beanies. Keep records of all conversations, and a copy of all auctions.


We will only be posting complaints on this page from people who say they have received counterfeits, or general information which is of interest to all.  It is up to you to only post the truth keeping in mind that you are open to a lawsuit from the dealer if you don't have the facts to back up your complaints. If you know of someone who has received a counterfeit, that person MUST be the one to contact us with the complaint. Anyone is welcome to send us  names and user IDs of any SUSPICIOUS counterfeit dealers for our files, but they will not be posted on this page although they may be given to authorities for further investigation.

Comments: I won an auction on ebay for an authentic Buckingham Beanie baby. I paid 79.02 for the bear, and it was a fake. I had it authenicted by Peggy gallagher, which i had to pay 12.00 for to verify that it was fake. The auction id number for ebay was 1806939341. I have tried on several occasions to contact e-toys and he has not responded to my emails. I have since learned that this is not his first time selling fake beanies. I have also tried to contact ebay, but I have not had any success. If you can help me I would appreciate it. Thank you very much. Karen

If this transaction ever occurred, it would have been over a year ago! Seems strange that she is coming forward now. A transaction this old is difficult to address. When the Sakura counterfeit issue first surfaced, I addressed each and every buyer who contacted me and thought they had purchased a fake Sakura. I issued refunds willingly for 3 months following the discovery of bad Sakura's. I just have to question someone coming forward at this very late date

Luckily one of her winners contacted me after she got the name to pay. She sold 6 FAKES this week. Her usual fare of Rex, Trap, Web, Bumble, Slither & Sting.

She's already SUSPENDED but she comes back everytime. She's had many many user names. Always check eBay contact info and make sure it matches the person you are asked to pay.

I took each of the bags to Neiman marcus and Louis Vuitton. I was told that they are all faux. i was also shown the real bags. There is a difference. Let's do what has to be done. Let me know.

Comments: Selling counterfeit beanies on Yahoo.Yahoo has been made aware of this person ( Linda Pines ) yet seems to allow her to freely let the counterfeit market flow .This is an in insult to honest dealers and the values that give backbone to this country. She will not answer simply the question " are the beanies you sell counterfeits ?" Please let's work together to pressure Yahoo to remove her permanently from the site and place legal action against her . She has defrauded 100's of individuals.
